Sea Seafood Pasta

Worth every dollar. Worth the money. Great quality food. Super patient and friendly service. The sitting area outside is very calm and quiet during the weekday lunch hours.

My wife and I were passing through the area looking for a place to eat after we struck out on two other spots and stumbled upon Thirty 5ive in Yelp. So very happy we did! Great old-school feel. Our bartender really knew her way around the cocktails! We ordered our food. My wife went for their chicken Caesar salad, while I opted for their filet and wrapped shrimp. I also ordered a side of sautéed mushrooms. Our meal was incredibly delicious! Almost forgot about the seafood gumbo as a starter. That was superb as well! Four thumbs up from us! Keep up the great work!

First time here, won't be the last. My wife picked this place as she was feeling like seafood and they have a respectable set of offerings. We started with the mussels which were very tasty however slightly fishy. We had the red fish, sea bass and seafood pasta. All entrees came with soup or salad. The salads were heavy on the veggies, light on the lettuce. The soup of the day was a southwestern seafood which was delicious. All of the entrees were very good and the red fish was also a little fishy. However, my wife is super sensitive to this and it didn't turn her off in the least. Our waiter was Claudio and he was great. Very accommodating and told me that if I didn't care for the soup, he would bring me something else. The key lime pie was HUGE and tasty and the crème brûlée was one of the best we have had. Overall, a very positive experience and we will likely be back next week.

I was in ELP for a work trip with a fellow coworker and we both really wanted some oysters and find this gem of a place. We came here around dinner time and they seemed pretty busy but the service was still great. We started off with a dozen raw oysters and they were so good that we had to get another round after ordering the scallops and fish tacos. The bacon wrapped scallops were really good as well. The fish tacos were good but I felt like there was just too much cabbage on it. I don't mind cabbage but it just seemed like too much that it was covering rest of the flavor from the taco. I would go back just for the oysters though. The oysters were really fresh and tasty. Our waiter was very nice and helpful with any questions we had. My coworker and I can't stop talking about the oysters. This place is worth this visit for sure.

12 oz Ribeye & Loaded Baked Potato and 16 oz Prime Rib, both cooked medium rare.

We went Saturday night at 5:00 to make sure we were able to get the Prime Rib for my wife (her favorite) for her birthday. She got the 16 oz and I ordered the 12 oz Ribeye with the loaded baked potato. Both were cooked medium rare and both were cooked and seasoned to PERFECTION! We have never had a better steak anywhere in town! They both were juicy, tender, full of flavor and melted in our mouth! We had the Seared Ahi Tuna (again, her favorite) and that, also, was cooked to perfection and accompanied by crisp cabbage, radicchio, wasabi sauce, and ginger. EXCELLENT! She had the seafood soup and I had the clam chowder, and were also delicious with plenty of shrimp, scallops , and fish in hers in a spicy seafood red soup, and mine had plenty of chunky clams (not overwhelmed by too many potatoes) in a decadent white creamy soup! And I had the Stella Artois draught, served ice cold, and stayed that way through the meal, and she had a Dirty (Tanqueray) Gin Martini with 3 olives, that was the best she had ever had. I had a taste and it was really really good! Our server, Oscar, was OUTSTANDING and brought the blow torch to the table and PERFECTLY AND AMAZINGLY curated my wife's Crem Brûlée, again, to PERFECTION! And it was excellently prepared, so creamy and decadent, not too rich and not too sweet, just right! Oscar was more than attentive all night long and took care of us in a most charming and professional manner! Needless to say, our entire evening and meal was AWESOME, AMAZING, and OUTSTANDING! The restaurant is quaint, small, but not too small, perfect for a "get to know you" vibe, with enjoying music, cozy ambiance, wood floors, tables around the bar, just enough to give you that "where everybody knows your name" vibe! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND "35 Tavern Bar & Grill" for your next night out, date night, special occasion, or just somewhere to go for a great meal in an awesome place! We plan on coming back soon, and again, and again because this place has easily now become our favorite restaurant with the BEST STEAK IN TOWN! We are so glad we came here! You will be too! Make it your next night out!

The food and service was amazing! The steak had a great crust and a good amount of fat. It came out a perfect medium rare. For the price, the quality of the whole experience was very high. We even got a free crème brûlée from our server. Check this place out!

Food tastes good! I loved everything. Fast service and staff are attentive. It was a little dim but not that bad since it was kinda dinner date for us hahah. Not too noisy as well.

This place is dark and cozy, yet bustling with conversations and good music. It does not have a fancy ambiance, but it feels like a neighborhood bar and grill- east coast style where everyone knows each other. It was great to see this comfortable interaction amongst the patrons. On the back wall are locked cabinets with lattice grill fronts so you can see the contents inside. Some have several bottles in them. They all had a name plate above indicating the owner of the nice libations within. Nice touch- have not seen that anywhere else in El Paso yet. This indicates to me that the place has a strong core of regulars. The waiter, Ben, was phenomenal. The food was amazing! Wednesday night they have a Prime Rib special. The meat came with a choice of baked potato or fries. I had the perfectly cooked baked potato that was soft all the way through- delicious-and they were generous with the butter. I also opted for a wedge salad and it was good. The steaks were cooked to perfection- mine was medium rare and my dining companion had theirs medium well- both steaks were cooked perfectly. They have a nice selection of signature cocktails, as well as good coffee to end the meal...with a shareable white chocolate cheesecake. I will be back. Soon! Oh we did have reservations and it is a good thing because the place is popular.

Food was great. I got a ribeye and it was delicious! Sandwiches are nice and big too, everything was tasty and yummy. Presentation of the food was amazing. The ambiance was giving intimate & romantic. Service was also excellent, no complaints in that department. Not to mention the pricing was reasonable, nothjng crazy which is always great. 10/10 !!!

Receipt

A group of friends meet at this tavern on July 22 at 5 p.m. We waited to be served at 6:30 p.m., which is unreasonable, in my opinion. Many customers were being served that came in after us. We had to wait an hour and a half to be served our meals! The meal i ordered was a steak sandwich that was third rate food!! The steak was hard with a little cabbage and a few tomato slices with no sides at all! The receipt included an Administration Fee and a 20% Gratuity that I was forced to pay with no options! This establishment is very dark and very cold to older senior citizens. I had difficulty reading the menu due to the darkness. In conclusion, our group will never revisit this disappointing restaurant!

This is one of my favorite places in town. Love the atmosphere, love their service and especially love the food. Exceptional service with wait staff who WANTS to be of service. Great great food. Love the Mac and cheese and rib eye. Great specials daily! This is a great place for a birthday, anniversary or celebration of any kind. You MUST go here and visit. Can't wait to go back.

If I were going off just that, I would give this place a four star, maybe five. First, the restaurant. We went there for lunch and as we pulled into the parking lot we wondered if it was even open as there were no cars there. Nevertheless, we got out and, yes, they were open. As soon as you walk in you notice the place is big and dark. Dark tinted winders, black ceilings and just not very inviting. It was super dark. Giant bar though. We asked to sit outside, although slightly warm, it was better than being inside a dark room. The outside was pretty cool! Giant area capable of holding 2K people, at least that's what the sign said. The shipping containers with the airplane on top were pretty cool. With lots of outdoor games, giant stage, and screens, I can only imagine how busy this place is in the evenings or weekends. But for us, we were the only ones out there when we came. Second the food. As I mentioned my wife ordered the shrimp tacos and she said they were really good. I ordered the Jazz burger. It was just okay. The smashed patties were not season very well, or they were overpowered with the bacon jam. And the bacon on top was not cooked very well. Yes, I do like my bacon crispy so I guess I could have mentioned that. But the bacon was super soft. Not my favorite. So for me, overall the food was just ok. The one thing I found strange about the food was how unaccommodating the kitchen was. I certainly understand when kitchens don't allow substitutes but when I asked for something simple like "no bun" for the burger they apparently gave the server a tough time. So my burger came with a bun. Which isn't a big deal, just don't like to waste food. My wife asked if she could mix match the tacos (most places will allow you to do this especially when they offer more than one type of taco) again the answer was the chef didn't allow for this (chef wasn't even there at the time). Now, is this a huge deal? No, not really. But a restaurant that wants to thrive and be well known usually will accommodate requests within reason. Not sure why this kitchen was so stuck on these things. The one great thing about this place was the service, and specifically the server. He really did do an amazing job even though he might have been the only one there besides whoever was in the kitchen. He was super friendly, checked on us, and even took time to just chat a little bit. He really made this experience as good as it was. What a great server/bartender. All in all, this might be a one and done for me. Off to the next. Cheers.

Glad I only spent $14. I will never be back. It's been a LONG time (actually probably NEVER) when I've encountered a wait staff person who came off as arrogant as the bartender at Cabo Joe's today. I don't drink, so I ordered a lemonade, and I asked her to water it down, "because they are usually way too sweet." She did. It was all downhill from there. It really gets me that some establishments whose income is based primarily on alcohol consumption treat a non-drinker as some kind of alien, and the only thing I can figure out is, that's exactly what happened to me today. I know the bartender's name because it's on my receipt. I'm not going to mention that, because it's not my intention to infringe on anyone's career. But if I would have to describe her attitude in one word, it would be "SNOTTY". She never smiled one time. I ordered two fish tacos. When she brought them I said, "thanks". She never said one word, as if it was a chore for her to deliver my order. She didn't even bring me a fork until I asked her for one. Everyone knows how messy tacos are......what was I supposed to do, grab the spilled ingredients with my fingers? I will say that the fish tacos were pretty good. $4.95 each, so $9.90 for two, plus a lemonade, plus tax = $13.98. I was done pretty quickly because I just wanted to get out of there. She was about 20 feet away, chatting with other patrons. She never checked to see how my food was. I had pushed the plate over to the bar and left a $20 next to it, but she never got the hint. I had to wave the $20 at her to get her attention. She gave me six "ones" as change, obviously expecting a tip. She didn't get one. Again, she never said one word to me, not even a thank you, and never smiled one time. WHAT a welcoming atmosphere. In closing, apparently some female bartenders with beautiful long brown/blonde hair down to their butt who are wearing a very revealing bikini bottom are convinced that their you-know-what just does not stink, and they are doing a man a favor by waiting on him. That's sure the way it seemed to me. Add to all that, it was 2:00 PM on a Wednesday. NOT BUSY. Football season is right around the corner, and I'm a big 49ers fan. I'll choose another bar in which to watch a game.

It's a fun and classy speakeasy inside of Tin Man on George Dieter. They keep their location hidden on social media...I guess because it's a speakeasy? I think the concept is cute and fun. I almost felt like I wasn't in El Paso anymore! They have cute Japanese knick knacks and decor. There's only two tables and a small bar area. This is probably why it's hard to get a reservation. You can make a reservation by messaging them on Facebook or Instagram. If they don't get back to you, give them a call at Tin Man. They're open Thursday-Saturday from 7pm to 2 am and Sundays from 2-9 pm. Before Origami Sake Bar, I've only had sake a couple of times straight and...it was super strong. It almost knocked me out of my seat! This is coming from a lady who could drink Tequila like water. Those days are long gone btw. However, this sake bar changed those previous experiences for me. Why? Because they offer a combination of sweet and strong drinks. I had to have a sweet drink so I went with the Grogu. Forgive me, I can't remember what exactly was in it. If you like boba tea, this is the drink for you. It had a lot of boba balls in it. The Yoda stein holds a lot of drink and it stays cold. I was good with just this one drink. FYI: The drinks are not happy hour prices. My tab was $17 and change for one drink. I almost asked for a growler of Sangria from Tin Man instead. I'm not saying the drink was bad because it wasn't. I'm sure I was paying for the novelty of the stein and bar. The place doesn't offer any food. You can eat before or after...or bring your own. It would be cool if they offered Japanese snacks or cheese boards, something. Tin Man doesn't offer food so I guess it's the same here. Thank you for recommending Origami Sake Bar, Jenny L.! Thank you for also inviting me! :) Check it out if you get a chance.

It was a bit difficult to get an RSVP, I messaged them thru their FB page, but they didn't respond so I ended up calling the location which was Tin Man and they got me connected to RSVP. After that they were super responsive and gracious. We ended up having 8 ladies show up but at different times and they were nice enough to let us stay until the next reservation showed up at 10pm. We had a great time, drinks were strong and unique. Only things I would recommend to change are getting a better menu QR, it made you download the menu instead of just showing you, and not mixing the popping boba and regular boba in the drinks as it's a HUGE choking hazard, especially when drinking alcohol. I would definitely recommend this place for a cute night out or date night. They let you bring outside food in and we brought Riva's carne asada fries and nachos.
