Quiet evening, an hour before closing, and the staff was ready for anything. Pretty venue. The chef welcomed our table. Great specials BTW. Especially Faculty Friday discounts. The soju cocktails are especially refreshing. And they make an excellent Old Fashioned. The pot stickers are a must-order for appetizers. Delicate wrapper, crisp finish, chorizo and Italian sausage filling. And yet they were light. Sooooo good. Don't miss the lettuce wraps either. Beef, chicken, kim chi. Yum. We also ordered beef stroganoff (must order dish here), green chile Alfredo, whipped feta burger, and strawberry ginger salad. All are highly recommended. No tipping policy. Staff are paid appropriately. I 100% approve of that. If this place was in Austin or Houston it would have an hour wait for a table. Though we have only made it to Twisted Fork for brunch, so far, we have enjoyed the two times we have dropped in. The food is delicious, the service is good, but if it gets too crowded, they won't be able to see you. If you need to, maybe make a reservation. I'm totally interested in coming back to try their cocktails. Some friends visiting El Paso, earlier in the year, made it in for dinner said that they truly enjoyed it. I was a bit jealous. During the most recent brunch, I enjoyed an avocado toast, with a side of eggs. I should have considered another protein on the side, but after all was said and done, I was full and happy with that. The coffee was hot and bottomless. An interesting note is that they pay their servers a full wage so you don't have to tip...but if you did, they would very much appreciate it. My friend and I saw Twisted Fork on TikTok and had heard good things, so we decided to try it on a Sunday evening. Arrival was easy, and we did not need a reservation, which was nice. Just a heads up: they close at 8 PM on Sundays. One thing I really appreciated was that they are a no-tipping restaurant because the staff is paid a livable wage, which is lovely. Our waitress, Madison, was also really nice and added to the overall positive experience. For appetizers, we ordered the Korean spicy wings and the grilled Caesar salad with added chicken. The wings were really good, and the spicy soju margarita was also a standout for me because it actually had a nice level of spice. The Caesar salad was good too, though it came as a wedge even after I requested it chopped. Not a huge deal, just something to note. For entrees, my friend had the ribeye with gouda mac and cheese and mashed potatoes, and I had the flat iron with the same sides. Unfortunately, the entrees left a little something to be desired. The steaks themselves were fine, and the chimichurri on top worked well, but the sides felt bland overall. The gouda mac and cheese needed more seasoning and flavor, and the garlic whipped potatoes also felt like they were missing something. I ordered mashed potatoes but was originally sent french fries but they corrected it no problem. As for the ambiance, I actually enjoyed the vibe inside. It was not overly crowded or loud, which made for a relaxed dinner experience with a nice atmosphere. If I went back, it'd be during happy hour. read more

Wow what a tasty meal! The most perfect spot for an excellent date night. Me and my partner decided to come to this spot with a friend, who recommended us Twisted Fork. Upon entry I noticed that the atmosphere was low lighting and had like a date night atmosphere. Perfect vibes and was quaint. Our waitress was very sweet and friendly as well so no issues there. I will say the menu was a little bit more pricey than you would think. Definitely not bank breaking but I would say you're not ordering Olive Garden. This would be a once in awhile spot for the average income person. My partner ordered the sake flight. A great range and variety of sakes. All tasted different if you're looking for new sake flavors. Smart idea on the restaurant's behalf. I ordered the steak Alfredo and boy did it not disappoint. Such creamy and flavorful Alfredo sauce and the steak was cooked to perfection. Seasoned amazing and paired great with the Alfredo. You have to get this dish if you try twisted fork. My partner got the chicken Alfredo and which wasn't bad either. I think the steak Alfredo was better than the chicken dish but still a really rich flavor. Cooked chicken and great seasoning. All in all we will definitely come back here. This is our second time here in 2 weeks for brunch. The food was fantastic, and the service was friendly. They operate on a "no tip" basis, where they pay their employees a fair wage. I ordered the Korean chicken and waffles. The waffle was fluffy, and absorbed the gochujang syrup well. The chicken was crispy and well seasoned. Next time I would probably add a friend egg or something to go with it. My fiancé got the chilaquiles, which had great flavor. If I had to make suggestions for it, I would say maybe it could have benefited from some cotija cheese, or make the sauce a little saucier. But overall great taste and texture. read more

We tried twisted fork for the first time last week and it wasn't bad. Not a place I'd go to again but not bad. Service was great! The restaurant is tiny and the tables are really close to one another so it does fit a little tight. Beverages were great as well. Food over all was okay. We had a large party and we each tried something new. The baos were dry and the tortilla soup was not our cup of tea. However, their cheese dip was delicious, steak was very good, the burgers were good but nothing special, and their buffalo chicken sandwich was dry, not spicy, and very oily. The ambiance is nice - small, intimate. There were some serious problems on the Monday we went for dinner, though. We made reservations in advance. Empty when we arrived at 6:15, but filled up quickly. The owner/manager later told us this was unusual for a Monday. Service was very poor on our visit. Initally, there was only one server - the manager didn't help the server much, although it was clear help was needed. Another server showed up a bit later, which helped some. It took more than 20 minutes to get our drinks (and we were the first people there). We could see food sittling at the kitchen window to be delivered; some of those dishes sat there for 10 + minutes. The warm appetizers arrived cold. The entrees did arrive hot. My husband's side dish was served after he finished the entree. I suspect it was forgotten until we reminded the server. The food quality was mixed. The appetizers were all good. The salmon was tasty, but a bit over-cooked. Of the four gouda mac & cheese ordered, three were dry and had very little cheese (the fourth was great - it is the side that came out late). Two people in our party ordered rib eye steaks medium well - one was cooked as requested, the other was charred on the outside and rare on the inside. The sea bass was "okay". The asparagus and carrots were done very well. Right after we paid the bill, the owner/manager came by and apologized. He did offer a 20% discount - however, what he actually gave us was four coupons with a discount for future visits. Summary - for the price, this was a very poor experience. I might give them another shot in 6-8 months if they're still in business. I doubt I'll get the rest of my family back there, though. read more

My husband got the Tia Chili pasta and I had the Tia Chili Chicken Sandwich with fries. We shared because we need to experience both dishes and they were excellent! The flavors were amazing. We picked this place for Mother's Day breakfast, trying to avoid the crowds that will ultimately fill all the restaurants in town. It's a quant little place, though their electrician really doesn't know how to align lights from one side of the wall to another. And the bathroom style window used on the side...replace that with a clear window, let some natural light in. The cappuccino was served in an espresso cup, and for $4.99 it just wasn't worth it. It was so bitter, even after adding some sugar, just bitter. The coffee was OK, nothing to write home about. The "tiramisu French toast" was just French toast with a side of what I think was whipped mascarpone with sugar. There was no hazelnut cream, no cinnamon and couldn't taste the espresso, and it looked nothing like the picture on the restaurant's website. The avocado toast was literally 2 half slices of toasted sourdough with some greens and sliced avocado on top, with some sort of seasoning and a drizzle of....lime. Yup, lime. You put balsamic vinegar on it, not lime. For the amount of money we paid (about $45), the food was not worth it. Flavorless, done in a hurry, disappointing. Service was OK, though I don't understand how a General Manager doesn't know how to serve or has no experience serving. Cause he sure was awkard. They do not have a "tip" line on the check, so...not sure what is going on. They either don't want their staff to get tips (their only server had quit the night before), or they include the tip in the price of the food, or they just want cash tips. That left us confused. If you have a no tip policy, post it somewhere. Don't make people feel bad they don't carry cash and feel like they are stiffing the staff. Might give it another try for dinner, cause the menu looked good (also, why hand out a lunch and dinner menu at 8am?!), but for now, wouldn't really recommend. Sorry. read more

I visited twisted Fork for dinner with the reservation, and while the restaurant wasn't very busy, the ambience was pleasant. Our server was new, but attentive at first. They made an Offman espresso martini for us, and the espresso old-fashioned was a surprising highlight, strong at first sip, then nicely balanced. We started with the bao buns. The meat was very flavorful, and the coleslaw on top added a refreshing crunch. The buns themselves weren't the traditional fluffy style, but they were still enjoyable. The chicken carciofi was extremely flavorful, the salad tasted fresh, and the mac & cheese felt underwhelming for the up charge. The pasta, however, arrived undercooked, and completely lacking sauce or flavor. I normally don't speak up, but this one needed attention. After I mention the issue, our server became noticeably less attentive and seemed to disappear. The head chef, René, came out personally, kind, sincere, and quick to acknowledge the mistake. He offered to remake the dish and asked how I preferred it timed. The second version was cooked properly and had sauce, but the flavor still didn't land for me. Overall, I'd give twisted for a three star. The chef's professionalism was genuinely appreciated, and despite the dinner experience, I'm still interested in returning to try their brunch. read more

I ordered the bao buns, but they were soggy and smothered in hoisin sauce. At $17 for three, they weren't worth it--I left most of it on the plate. Since then, I kept hearing about their "no-tip" European-style system. While it might work in theory, in practice--especially in El Paso--it often translates to inflated menu prices and awkward customer experiences. I've seen similar concepts tried in LA and NYC, and they rarely last unless the food is truly outstanding. Wanting to give them a fair shot, I went back for lunch recently after hearing they revamped their menu. Service-wise, it was better. Our server, who was also the bartender, was friendly, attentive, and fast. The drinks were the highlight--thoughtful, unique, and made with Asian liquors like Soju. I'd come back just for cocktails. But the food still didn't deliver. I ordered the braised beef stroganoff, but was told they were out of the usual pasta and would reheat the short rib with a corkscrew pasta substitute. Even though it wasn't busy, the food took 30 minutes to arrive. My pasta was lukewarm, the sauce clumpy and bland--I had to ask for salt and even mashed in some garlic confit to give it some flavor, but it didn't help. My friend ordered the chicken lettuce wraps with double chicken, which came with a side of kimchi. The sauce on the chicken itself was oddly sour, which threw the whole dish off. Paired with the naturally sour kimchi on the side, the flavors just didn't balance--it was confusing and not enjoyable. It felt like a clash of two different Asian flavor profiles that didn't mesh well together. I also ordered a burger to-go from the lunch menu for my husband. The burger itself was under-seasoned and bland--but the sweet potato fries it came with were surprisingly good. Crisp, well-cooked, and the best part of the plate. The total for an appetizer, a pasta, a burger, and two drinks (one alcoholic, one not) was $88. That might be fine if the food was exceptional, but for something this underwhelming, it's hard to justify. Twisted Fork has a unique concept, but good food should always come first. Right now, it feels like a trendy gimmick without the flavor to back it up. I genuinely hope they improve, because I want to support local spots--but after two visits, I can't recommend it. This is our first time in El Paso and actually our first time in Texas. We heard rave reviews about Twisted Fork and even ChatGPT suggested it. I made a reservation and our family of 5 had an incredible dinner. The service was exceptional - he was so attentive and wanted to make sure everything was just right. The food was some of the best we've eaten. The menu was diverse, and everything sounded so interesting. We had the pulled pork bao tacos for an appetizer, which were perfection - I could have just eaten them all night. My daughter ordered the green chili alfredo, which was as delicious as it was interesting. I ordered the pesto divorciados, and it had such complex flavors that paired together perfectly. My wife ordered the baked penne, and it was also just as delicious. We all agreed that all three entrees were just next level. My two youngest kids got kids' meals, which were homemade, delicious, and very kid-friendly. The atmosphere was fun, festive, and perfect for a date night or a fun night out with friends. We will absolutely eat there again before we leave town. Run don't walk to this restaurant. read more

We were very surprised when we received our bill, turns out the severs get paid fairly and there is no need to leave a tip. I have to be honest. I don't know what the heck is going on at this place. We came in and were greeted by the only hostess/server, with two other tables already occupied. This poor girl was already overwhelmed. She took our order and then it took nearly 20 min to get a coffee and another 10 to get the mimosa. All of this happening while a guy who was acting as the bartender and maybe owner sat at the bar playing on a computer. We then get our food piece mealed out after watching one of the plates sit in the hot window for almost 15 minutes. And again the weird bartender guy continually sat on his butt. And then we noticed an older lady also sitting with him and she casually walks up to the foo window and grabs food and sits down, all while this poor girl who is doing everything by herself is struggling. She apologized multiple times to us, admitting she is new and in training and yet this guy who works there and could be the owner sat in his butt.
