This program is outstanding and provides a number of formal assessments, one on one coaching (both via Skype/telephone and emails) and, a solid process for truly understanding, not only your natural abilities (what you do best), but also your personal style, interests, passions, values and environments that enables your comprehensive understanding of what careers will be best for you. It also can provide the opportunity to identify different areas of your current organization that may be better suited for you.
As part of a number of leadership teams at different organizations, I had access to very costly, extensive, third party one on one coaching While I learned some useful techniques and somewhat benefited, it always ended the same (disappointment and frustration after a few months). This was a result of the third party coaching attempting to change me to conform to the organization for its own benefit with total disregard for my abilities, style, interests, passions and values. In fact, all members of the leadership team participated in the third party coaching and in the end, nothing changed (either the individuals or the organization), which frustrated me even more.
The Oxford Program is all about you and what is best for you as opposed to any organization. The organizations I worked for would have invested more wisely if they had used The Oxford Program and made adjustments to the leadership team responsibilities (including myself) and the organization structure to maximize each individuals natural abilities combined with their interests and values. The organizations would have become more effective and the employee morale would have improved significantly.
The Oxford Program provides a great tool to think "outside of the box" with respect to careers uncovering numerous options that would best meet your natural abilities along with your needs and passions rather than being restricted to traditional roles purely based on your education and experience. As with anything, you will maximize the benefits by putting forth the effort and time required of this program. It is not a program that will give you a specific career when completed. It provides the basis for significant self assessment and exploration of a number of directions that best suits you. It also provides assistance with understanding that a career change is a process in which you must take a series of initiatives and actions to ultimately be happy and productive in a career best suited for you ("there is no magic wand").
This program not only has benefited me in focusing on a new career, but also changed my parenting with respect to my children's education. My oldest child will attending college next fall. Rather than have her focus on a major that may provide great pay, I now want her to focus on her dreams, passions, interests and motivations and, understand her natural abilities. If you are passionate and love what you do, the money will follow. Even if the money does not follow, your life will be fulfilling and you will always be happy and maintain a positive attitude.
The cost of the program is very inexpensive ($500 to $600) relative to the benefit obtained and is significantly less than the thousands of dollars that were spent on me by organizations that employed me with no effective results. The program includes 3 one on one personal coaching sessions and the founder provides very quick responses and results via email to postings. He also provide thought provoking questions as you progress through the program. You can also purchase additional one on one coaching sessions if desired. Again, you maximize your benefit the more you put into it.
I highly recommend this program. It is life changing. read more
