The first old fashions was good but the consistency with the second was not the same and when asked to remake they came out the same. They added something to top off the old fashioned which shouldn't be done. The server we had was MIA and we waited over 30 minutes between ordering and getting our food. Service was so slow while we watched others get attended to by their wait person. First time ever eating here and probably is the last sadly.

Despite the fact that it's located inside the casino, you are not required to actually enter the gaming floor to get to the restaurant. If you go around to the side door, you can pretty much skip the casino altogether if you want. Also, even though the casino is definitely loud and noisy, the restaurant was remarkably quiet and intimate. We had the giant pretzel as an appetizer and it was fantastic. Then I had the Braised Short ribs with mashed potatoes and vegetables which was really pot roast, but really excellent pot roast, and my fiancée had the WFG burger which he said was great. A very nice dining experience, the service was fantastic, and the prices were pretty reasonable. Nothing remarkable, but a very nice place to have dinner.

This time I chose Lumi and was not disappointed! From the very flavorful appetizer ( Muhammara) that I will crave forever complimentary puff bread, to the savory Turkish take on a beef stroganoff..which left our mouths filled with warm, toasty spice flavors.. which lingered well after the meal was done, to a more simple but equally as perfect in its own right.. Schnitzel! Crispy. Crust.. the best garlic mashed potatoes & both dishes came with a generous side of roasted Brussel sprouts! There was so much food & we brought leftovers home! We both are excited to return - & talked about the food the whole way home! Our server was helpful & explained what the items were and the interior of the restaurant is tastefully decorated, upscale (but we walked in casual & did not feel out of place). Lumi would be a perfect place for a date.. or with a group of friends!

I love the mezze platter you get to try a bunch of the unique dips including hummus, baba ghanoush and girit (one of my favorites it had feta, pistachio, basil and walnuts), the carrot tarator surprised me it really highlighted the sweetness of the carrots, also enjoyed the muhamara which has red bell peppers walnut, sesame and tomato paste. This also come with a puffy bread. I unfortunately forgot to ask about tea but I enjoyed my Turkish delight martini. Just know it's definitely on the sweet side. My aunt has a nut allergy and they were super helpful pointing out which dips and other menu items would be safe for her. The food came out super fast! Many in my group wanted to order the lamb chops but they were out. Makes me think that's one of the star menu items. The next best was the lamb shank which was very enjoyable nice tender meat cooked in the lamb juices served with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. I had the beef stroganoff. I feel like it's the first time actually ordering it from a restaurant. This was not the version I've seen before with thick gravy and egg noodles. It was a colorful dish of peppers generous beef tenderloin strips and a savory mushroom sauce served also with mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts. As a table we ordered a lot of different things I was very happy with my options and am always happy to try new things!! Thanks for a great dinner!

The steak bites appetizer was a disappointment. While the steak was great at medium rare, it was covered in fried onions, and the ratio was way off. Too many onions, not enough meat, and it was too oily. The patio is nice, but it took the waiter a while to approach, then several wines weren't available. Wouldn't recommend, there are many places that are way better in Rochester.

I have tried various things on the menu and my favorite meal was the 10 oz NY Strip steak that was accompanied by beautiful mashed potatoes and asparagus. The dressing was fantastic. Steak sauce was not needed to add since the steak had so much flavor. It was perfectly done just the way I like it medium rare. Thanks to the Chef, it was one of the best meals I have had in a long time. Rodney was such a pleasure, he served us and the evening was pretty slow. I didn't mind because my friend and I were well taken care of. We both had a glass of Alamos Argentinian Malbec which we enjoyed every single sip. We explained to Rodney how we ran around all day long going to various appointments at Mayo. I was surprised for a Friday night that it was slow. We ate outdoors which was such a treat. We sat at a 4 top table facing Peace Square and people watched. Rodney was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and suggested many items. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip for an appetizer along with short rib tacos and my beautiful steak meal. I rarely ever pass up dessert and I love Crème Brûlée however I passed it up since I couldn't take another bite. This meal was the icing on the cake of our trip to Rochester.

The place has a great feel - dim lighting, open kitchen, good energy without being over the top. Easy spot to settle in and enjoy a meal. Our waiter was excellent for most of the night. He knew the menu well and pointed us toward the handmade pasta over the boxed options. It came with an upcharge, as expected, but worth it. Toward the end of the evening he started disappearing for longer stretches. We weren't in a rush, but it went a little past what you'd want. Food was excellent. I started with the oysters - fresh, cold, clean, with that nice briny hit. For my entrée I had the scallops over fresh pasta with mushrooms and thin crispy potato chips. The scallops were spot on with a good sear and the whole dish came together really well. My wife had the chicken piccata (which I sampled - and really liked), daughter went with the wild mushroom tagliatelle, and her boyfriend had the pappardelle with grilled chicken and scallops. Everyone enjoyed their meals. We also a bruschetta app to start, which was not as flavorful as I expected. The wonderful warm bread disappeared fast. A couple Caesar salads were ordered and received compliments from those who partook. We left full and satisfied. Overall, really good experience and consistent with our first visit. Would recommend and we'll definitely be back.
