Bought a car that had a scratch on the rear bumper and 6 front license plate holes. Wanted an easy fix/solution that wouldn't involve removing the whole bumper and paint. We had a couple scheduling hiccups and a minor issue with the weather and the way things turned out. But Kirk went above and beyond and said he would come out to fix everything to completion (no matter how many times it took). I was told numerous times by auto body shops I initially contacted that my paint was more difficult to work with since it's a pearl white and it's not guaranteed everything will turn out even but he was able to match the paint and make the car look brand new again. Big thank you to the paint doctor. I have a black jeep gladiator that had a little over 1 inch of scratch above the right rear panel. I have no clue how that happened, but it's been there for months. Kirk is like a magician when it comes to paint. I had a job that I needed done that no one else would touch, and lucky for me, the one guy that was willing to do the work (Kirk) was the only guy that I would have trusted with the job. I have a 2012 McLaren 12C that went in for paint protection film, and when the old and worn out factory protective film on the driver side door was removed, it took some of the paint and clear coat with it. Being an exotic car that I care much about, I didn't want to do any more paint work than was absolutely necessary to fix the damage, minimizing the repair to the damaged area only and preserving the factory paint everywhere else. Other people were telling me that I had to respray the whole door for it to turn out right or that they were too scared to try to do any sort of a spot repair and blend because blending into the rest of the door panel would be too difficult. Kirk was up for the challenge, and, long story short, he did an exceptional job. Kirk is in high demand, so he is busy and not immediately responsive (like answer the phone when you call), but that is understandable and this is not a complaint, more to let others who would be interested in his work know. Reach out to him, he will respond same day, and he is very easy to work with, schedule an appointment, and he is 100% reliable. I honestly cannot thank him enough from saving my car from what easily could have turned into paint work hell. I have posted photos of the before and after to his yelp page. TL:DR: Please save time and go with The Paint Doctor. Awesome results, very professional and reasonable price. I had purchased a used Porsche, and on the rear bumper were two scratches that were so bad I had to call in a professional. Tried the body shop that supports the local the Porsche dealer in San Jose. Got an over the phone estimate that was over $2k. And that did not include any single use items that were required for reinstalling the bumper. Called mobile repair shops and settled on two that required greater research -- with The Paint Doctor being one. He was more expensive, but you get what you pay for. In my case, a guarantee that it would look as good as new. In the other shop I checked into, no such guarantee. Anyway, I have black paint, and apparently that requires two visits for best results. In one word, I can say that the job performed by Kirk is truly awesome. My 2010 Blue colored Toyota Prius had both sides of the front bumpers scratched (see pictures) mostly in the narrow circular driveways in the multi-storied parking garages. I hired Kirk to paint over some scratches on my rear bumper. I originally scheduled for him to come out Wed, March 10. Due to forecasted rain, Kirk texted me the day before and we rescheduled for the next day. He showed up promptly on time, explained the entire process, and performed meticulous work to get the bumper looking as good, if not better, than new. I was thoroughly impressed by the entire process. He uses a top paint system, pre-preps the area to be painted, takes his time taping off lights, and then slowly applies multiple layers of paint, followed by clear coat. I just had a small area where a bird dropping etched away the clear coat on my 2019 Camry. I just had it repaired by Kirk, the Paint Doctor. I live in Sunnyvale and I highly recommend Kirk. He made two visits to my house; one visit to perform the paint repair, and a second visit, ten days later, to buff the newly painted area and adjacent factory painted areas. The paint on my Camry is Ruby Flare Pearl, which has metal flake in it and before contacting Kirk, I was really worried that any repainted area wouldn't match the adjacent factory paint.
