There are two bathrooms. One I read was decorated in a 'Friends' theme. I visited the one with famous people pictured sipping tea.

My daughters and I were searching for a great place to spend a few hours to paint pottery. It's been quite a few years since we painted pottery so we were really looking forward to the day. Thank you to the reviews on Yelp, we found the best of the best at The Painted Teacup! It is independently owned and not a chain which was important to us. I sent an email to the business at 10pm requesting to reserve a spot for the following day. I wasn't expecting it to be answered until the next morning and to my surprise, I had a response shortly after sending it with a confirmation for the 3 of us. Walking into The Painted Teacup was magical and we knew if would be before we even stepped foot inside. The decorated bicycle in front of the business, the paintbrush art hanging in the window of the shop, the signage...we just knew it would be fabulous and it didn't disappoint! The creativeness of the decor is beyond amazing! I had to just stop and take it all in for a few minutes. Cayman and her mom have made an amazing space. It's eclectic, whimsical, beautiful and creative. Everywhere you look, there is something new to discover. Dallas, the resident 4-legged doggie hangs out in the corner in her princess bed and happily greets customers. Don't worry, if you are fearful of dogs, Cayman will leave her leashed. We are dog lovers and welcomed her to roam. Such a mellow and sweet dog, she made our day (you too Cayman!) Nothing better than pet and paint therapy all in one visit! The pottery selection was vast and there is something for everyone to paint. There are plenty of examples of painted pieces to look at if you have creative block. There are stickers and stencils to help with your painting if desired and plenty of paint colors to select from. In front of each paint color to choose from, there is a small child size teacup and saucer that is painted and fired so you know the outcome of that particular color. This was really helpful. Cayman provided all the instruction we needed to work on our projects. The tables are perfectly set for all the incoming artists. With brown paper 'placemats' to set your piece on, draw on or make notes, it was so much better than working on a paper towel! Napkins were also provided but the favorite part was the water for washing brushes off was in a big teapot. I love how the theme of this shop is carried through to details like this! The paint brushes were of good quality too. This is important! There are an abundance of stylus tools too for making any size dot/polka dot you need. Speaking of teacups...You will see them in pictures (check out the first bathroom) of various stars sipping tea, on a candelabra, and placed throughout the store. My pictures don't do it justice, you must go see for yourself. They do allow byob if you want to come paint and sip some wine. We opted for Boba Tea which was sold just a couple doors down. There is also a quaint coffee shop a few doors down that has coffee, tea, macaroons and other sweets and treats. You can bring anything you want to eat/drink to enjoy while painting. The prices are reasonable and the experience was perfect for my teen daughters and myself. We can't wait to return to pick up our masterpieces! My youngest had so much fun, she asked if we could return in a week or two so Cayman doesn't forget who we are. I love that so much! While you're there, don't forget to look up on top of the paint cabinet at the amazing dress form with the the painted 'prom' dress Cayman created! If I could give this shop and the experience 10 stars, I would!

Such a cute place! My boyfriend and I came here for date night and it was so much fun. We sat down to paint our pottery and the staff was so incredibly helpful! Offered us more paint if they saw we were running low and just overall very kind! After you're done with your piece, you hand it to one of the staff members and they take care of the rest! We were able to pick ours up in about 2 days and they came out so stinking cute! 10/10 would definitely recommend for couples looking for a cute date or for a small birthday party!

The selections are great! My family and I had a good time. We will definitely come back.

Great spot for a mommy daughter date! So fun painting and talking while being creative.

HOW FUN! ...and what a great way to make a lasting memory. It was over 100 degrees so we opted for some indoor fun on this weekend afternoon. We brought the whole family and painted some porcelain pieces - they have a huge selection to choose from, plates, cups, goblets, figurines and more. Sheila explained the process, helped get our paints and brushes and showed us all the templates that were available. She was super friendly and helpful. While we were there they were getting ready for a birthday party and they do such an amazing job that this is where our next birthday party will be. See y'all again real soon!

A lot of fun. I definitely recommend making fun memories here. The staff is always friendly and the selection of things to paint is great. We've visited twice and are happy to make pottery painting a frequent activity.

This was our first time painting at this studio. We made reservations and arrived ready to be creative. We received first class customer service and enjoyed family time painting. They went above and beyond. I enjoyed this better than some of the other pottery painting studios. I feel like we got more out of the experience at The Painted Teacup. Little touches like the lamps for each painter so you can pay attention to detail. Thank you again for the wonderful customer service!

It was a marvelous experience from start to finish, and that's all thanks to the awesome instructor, Corrie, who was super patient and oh so helpful in lending a hand (literally) to give our projects the pep they needed if they were looking a bit sad. The projects started off in the third stage (after being wedged and centered) which was a very nice of them since I heard that the first steps are annoying and time-consuming. They do offer a 4-week pottery class that meets weekly where you get to learn all the stages from start to finish, which I will absolutely sign up for once I'm in the area more consistently. We were able to mold whatever container our hearts (or clay, really) desired. I came in wanting to make a chawan (matcha bowl) and I think the shape turned out much better than anticipated, but I'm afraid it'll shrink in the kiln, oof. Their glazing and firing process will take about 3 weeks after we make our piece, so I've yet to see the final product but will cross my fingers it'll be functional for my daily matcha routine. You get to choose which glaze from a variety of options, and they'll do that step for you. But in the intensive class, you get to paint and do more detailed work, and I got to see some of the finished pieces that were on display after finishing up my piece. It's super inspiring to see the variety of pieces you can make, and I'm already dreaming of other projects to embark on~ What's even better is this studio also offers more than pottery, including painting, dyeing fabrics, sewing, and crochet courses too, all of which I lovelovelove.
