A fun and memorable Saturday afternoon art lesson activity for grandma, mom, and granddaughter making scarves together! A perfect gift certificate for birthday and Mother's Day for someone who enjoys shared learning experiences. No art talent needed. We Just needed to shake little bottles of paint like a salt and pepper shaker with guidance from the staff on next steps

This was a different experience! Grab your girlfriend's and have a nice hands-on day out. Staff explains everything and are very helpful with the paint and designs. They have a wide variety of items to choose from. 10 out of 10 experience.

Flew in from Cali for this, and it was so worth it. Everything was amazing, great service!!! They walked us through everything very carefully and let us be creative. It was very therapeutic and I had a great time.

I feel in love with this place as soon as I walked in the door. It's tucked off in the back in a section with other small cabin like structures. It offers an intimate setting that's perfect for a mother/daughter day out, National Best Friends day, Sorority activity, Bachelorette activity or date night. Darcey (instructor) was so kind and patient; She is a phenomenal artist at creating ANY design. Even if you make a mistake, she some how turns it into a master piece. Scarves, Fans, jewelry pieces, shoes, etc..... Dallas Silk Art has something for everyone. I created a silk scarf and the process from picking my colors, to creating my design took all of 20-25max.

Get into this DIY water marbling experience using silk to capture your creation! They offer hands on, silk marbling ! With an aim to inspire the community and make this unique experience more accessible throughout the DFW metroplex. You get to create a one-of-a-kind marbled scarf, handkerchief and more. They host events and you can book and rent the space. DSA will even bring the fun to YOU! WHAT IS WATER MARBLING? Water marbling is the process of floating paints on an aqueous surface. The floating paints are then swirled around using various tools, such as rakes or styluses (if desired), to create beautiful one-of-a-kind patterns and designs. This design is then permanently transferred onto a treated fabric which can then be used in many different ways! Thanks for supporting my event. It was nothing short of creatively awesome! It was truly one to remember. Jeanette- your passion for silking is beautiful and I think it's truly a unique brand!

I absolutely love art & crafts DIY projects, so my lady surprised me with this event for my birthday. I will say walking from the parking garage locating this place is difficult. Hannah explained the silk marble art process to us & we began immediately. I wear head scarfs all the time, so to create my very own was so authentic. The experience is very zen & chill. There are a wide variety of items to create from hats, shoes, pictures, jewelry, photos, scarfs... etc. This is a nice way to jump into being creative without having to purchase a ton of materials you won't ever use again. Great and fun little place. I had a wonderful time. The price was ok, they had a lot of different options for you to pick from and the girl who was there was very nice and helpful.

We had a birthday and moms night party here and had the most amazing time. Marilyn is the best and helped us throughout the whole process. We will definitely be doing this again. Thank you!

I'll start off by saying I did not go in and participate in any activities. I was walking by and saw the inside and figured I'd post for those who might want to know more! There was one employee inside who does not make eye contact with passerby. It appears to be a new age "painting with a twist" only they create tshirts and earrings. Price varied based on what you wanted to make. But was pretty pricey in general.

Me and 5 of my girlfriends went here yesterday and this has to be one of the most fun girlfriend experiences I've ever had! And we've done so much together - we will definitely be back! The choice of colors and combinations is endless, and Hannah was such a great teacher, she made the experience even more fun. The fact that they set up phone stations so you can grab a timelapse video of your silk scarf making was so ideal. We had an amazing time - I highly recommend!

Ask the Community - Dallas Silk Art

What is the average cost range for most of the items?

It's hard to answer the question because they have such a wide range of items from which to choose. The first time we visited was in the middle of COVID and we made masks. I can't remember exactly how much it was but it was very reasonable.

We all booked online and were able to pick which lamp we wanted to design. I chose the swan lamp. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon and once checked in we got situated at a table with a few other guests. I am in love with the space. First off, it's in a business area, and on a Sunday, there was no one else around. My GPS had difficulty finding the exact spot but once I had the suite number it was easy to find. When we walked in you could see how bright and airy this space is. Before the start of class, we had time to chit chat and walk around to get ideas for our lamps. Our teacher (I think her name was Oun?) was super sweet and walked us through each step. The first step is laying out your design. We were served Turkish coffee and a Turkish treat, (for an extra charge) during this step. During the step where we glue on the tiles we were served the pomegranate tea that came with the price of the class. At the end of our 2+ hours we were given instructions on how to make the cement to seal all the mosaic tiles in and once I do that, I will post photos of my finished product. We all had a blast and would 100000% recommend coming here to get artsy.

Overall, the art was fun, but the service was disappointing and communication is severely lacking…read more It felt like we were a nuisance in being there. We had an appointment last weekend for four of us. When we arrived, we had an extra child and were told that we would be required to pay a 12% gratuity because of the size of our party. I'm unsure what the gratuity would be for. We were shown the policy - it said for parties of 6 and up - which we clarified and she said she miscounted. There was no service offered other than a brief training on how to do the craft. We were not allowed to choose our own colors but were encouraged to pick from the ones that were pre-opened to not be wasteful. When we picked our pieces, we were warned many times that we would be charged if we were wasteful in our usage of the clay - and clearly that is a subjective decision. When asked at the end any advice on getting the clay out of clothing, she said "it doesn't" - which would have been helpful to know at the beginning when you have 3 kids under 10. I asked if they had aprons - and mentioned that it would have been helpful if this doesn't come out of clothes - and she said they do, but it's only available for parties and for an extra fee. Again - communication would have been incredibly helpful up front. At the end, we were cleaning up our station and the employee asked us to put away the four remaining beads that were left on the table. It seemed like an easy way for her to help us get out the door more quickly when she had nothing else to do but sit on her phone. At the end she wrote down the dry times for our pieces - 5 days - which again - would have been helpful to know at the beginning. Lastly - they sold some glass cups that our daughters wanted. One was marked $13, one $15 for the same cup. When we asked - she said they were $15, but there is a deal at 2 for $30. Not sure where the deal is in that - and when we made that comment - she shrugged -clearly annoyed. For a unique art place such as this, where creativity and art should be encouraged - there was a very big missed opportunity in making this a special place - I won't be back.

When they finally texted me back they were clueless and rude. When I went to pick up the art after the party they had all our stuff labeled with random dates (other than the date of the event?) and asked me to see a picture to help them find our pieces. Seems like the staff does not want to be there, which isn't great for hosting a fun event with kids. Too bad, it's a nice option to bounce houses, but the customer service is off the charts awful and they are completely disorganized.
