1st and foremost, the girl (I mean girl) helping explained nothing that we understood. she spoke fast / talked as if we knew what she was talking about and would just walk away as we are still trying to understand. we made cut glass bowls and once a man came over and really helped us to understand what we were doing. the girl never told us half of the products available to us to use and left us asking ourselves questions. we had to fill out an index card with our information on it (i was guessing they would call us when ready) but never did. i just called the girl that answered the phone said yes its ready, never asked my name, never asked when I came in and stated we don't text or call anyone when the projects are ready. for what we spent ( I spent as it was my friends bday) was not even close to the service we were given and I will never go back there again and I will tell everyone I know my experience. read more

I love this place - really amazing spot to spend hours having fun (both adults and kids!). They have so many pieces to pick from, and prices are pretty reasonable. I've been twice and had a great time both instances. They are BYOB and have snacks available for purchase. I've never struggled to find a table, but it does get busy on the weekends! -1 star because -Unlike Color Me Mine, the employees bring you paint (up to 6 colors per person), and during busy hours, you have to wait for a while to get a refill/anything if needed -There is a color in the blue section that shows as a gorgeous blue (on the pencil holder you can see end-product colors on), but really turns out more purple post-fire. I think it's 54? I wouldn't have picked it for my mug the first time I went if I had known the color would change -I asked someone working if I could get something to draw really fine white lines. She gave me a squeeze bottle that came out really thick. I saw others bottle had a thin metal piece coming from the top, but she refused to let me use that because it was "too hard to take off" from another bottle. Quiggly's is such a fun little place to spend a few hours with your kids and get some true quality time with them. It's fun to watch their artistic side bloom right in front of you, and it's great for your own inner artist to get a little stretch, too. I haven't been there when it's super busy, but the place can be understaffed when it's a full house so it does require a little patience. But if you do go when it's not crowded, it's a pretty smooth experience with the young staff. Even if you're a guy like me who isn't prone to arts and crafts I have no doubt this experience with your kids will leave an indelible effect. I've been to this location quite a few times and have only had positive experiences. I've done the pottery wheel class a few time and have come other times to paint the pre-made pieces they have. I cannot express enough how much fun we had during our pottery wheel class!!! Our instructor was Shayla- she was super helpful and really patient with us. We signed up online 2 weeks ahead of time for our 6-7:30pm Adult Pottery class (there were 12 people total going at one time) You get to make 3 items and it was $48 a person. Overall I feel like it's worth the value you pay! So much fun!! The drying process takes 2 weeks and then you get to come back and paint your items if you want for $8. The shop itself is really cute and organized. There's tons of ready made pottery you can buy and paint as well. I definitely want to come back and sit a cute little table and paint. It's also pretty spacious with about 10-15 tables ready to be sat at and painted. Overall loved the experience! Best part is the store is BYOB !! Note: I would just make a note to call and check on your pottery items after 2 weeks. They are supposed to call and let you know when your items are ready.. but I never received a call- so I just called to check in after 2 weeks and they were ready. We went in and painted them and now we wait another week. Either way- I would just note not to rely on them calling you but rather you calling them after 2 weeks. read more

We were here for the pottery making lesson. I thought the whole thing was semi rushed - you would need to have some basic skills. When it comes to pick up, I think the process could use some improvement. Got a text saying the pieces were ready. When I arrived, nobody was at the front desk. Me and another customer stood waiting for over five minutes before we got acknowledged. The check out person then said my pieces weren't ready. I don't know where the disconnect is. read more

I went to the Clay House in Fort Worth and overall the experience itself was fun. However, the follow-up process was really disappointing. When completing the pieces, I was told they would text me when they were ready for pickup. I went at the beginning of July, and about two weeks later I received a text that my pieces were ready. I even called to confirm how long I had to pick them up and was reassured that I had 45 days. They also told me I'd receive another text a week before the pieces would be thrown out. Fast forward, I called today (still within the 45-day window) just to double-check, only to be told my pieces had already been thrown away. I explained that I had not received any warning text, and reminded them that I was told I had 45 days starting from when the pieces were ready on July 17. The staff then told me the 45 days actually started the day we made the pieces, which was confusing because they did not mention that prior and it had already taken them two weeks (instead of the one week they promised) to complete them. It's really unfortunate that there was such a lack of communication despite me following up multiple times. I ended up spending over $100 for two people, only to have our finished pieces thrown out without proper notice )): read more

This is one of those places that I couldn't stop yapping about to my friends so I thought i'd brag about it on here too. This place has numerous crafting options for whatever you're in the mood for with reasonable pricing. My sister and I came in for the open clay sculpting. It was $7 for the clay day fee and it came with 1 lb of clay and all the tools to sculpt. Theres no time limit on being there as long as you finish before close and considering their lengthy hours we had no problem with that. It was nice being able to craft without feeling rushed :) When planning to go you can just do walk-ins unless you're wanting to use their pottery wheel which requires reservations. We were a bit new to clay sculpting so the employee that assisted us in getting started was very helpful. He briefly explained the different sculpting techniques to avoid any complications in the drying process and to ensure everything stays together. It's a pretty calm and quiet space, but there's enough light chatter in the background to not feel awkward and have a conversation with your group. As for the interior it definitely has character with the many art displays along the wall that are neat to look at for inspiration. The tables look like they've been through a lot, but I like it as it makes me not as afraid to make a little mess lol ;) It takes about 2 weeks to allow the pieces to dry and then put in the fire to set. When they're ready you'll get a call/text to come back in at your convenience to glaze them if you'd like to add some color to your art! They are an amazing place to craft and hangout! I have gone to the place twice, once was to make my own pottery. They charge $8 (adults studio fee) for 1lb of clay and provide tools to use! They also have a quick 1 week turn around when they fire the painting portion of the pottery! The second time I went I chose a mug off the wall to paint which was $22 + $8 studio fee= $30. My husband and I went here on a Saturday night and got put on a wait list. I understand Saturdays are incredibly busy and we were willing to wait. We sat in the parking lot for over an hour (wait time was quoted 30 minutes) and when I finally called back, they told me they were no longer available for walk ins. That's fine, I completely understand that, however you could've called me instead of having me wait in your lot an hour until you closed so I could come back another time and go about my evening. This place does not care! Our family of 5 both casted and painted pottery. They will tell you when you complain that their 45 day pickup policy is printed on the receipt and hung in the store, but nothing verbal. No phone call warning, nothing. They simply don't care. Someday their policies will catch up with them, but for now we are left heartbroken we missed the store trashing our art by missing the deadline by 5 days. We like this place and hate to leave a non-stellar review but I also really wanted to let people know to temper their expectations. If you are looking for a place to just paint some pottery or play with clay and don't care if you see the end result or not, this is a great place! The staff are friendly and there are lots of options to paint. But we've been on two separate occasions and ran into issues with pickup both times. The first time, when I came to pick up, I already saw my vase in the cart right behind the desk. So I told them my name and number. They looked me up and said my pieces weren't ready yet so I let them know that I actually see it on the cart. So they give me my vase and another mermaid piece that belonged to my daughter. The problem was, it was not my daughter's piece! She had painted a different piece. I let them know and they seemed super confused and told me to come back because maybe hers wasn't ready yet. I come back a week later and they were able to find it! Hooray! I was just so glad my 5 year old daughter recognized that it was not her mermaid, otherwise, we would have also ruined another girl's day by taking her piece. Whatever system they are using to tag and check in pieces probably needs to be re-evaluated. Also, the vase I painted had tiny holes in the bottom that they poked so it can't even hold any water since it keeps leaking. They said they poked the holes so it can bake without exploding. Which makes sense but literally no other vase in stores have holes at the bottom? I asked if there was any way we could seal it and they were like, "probably not, maybe you should just put some dirt in there." This is for a vase--not a planter! So don't get things if you plan on actually using them beyond decoration. Another time, we had the kids make something for a grandma's birthday. Her birthday was 8 days away so we paid extra for each piece to be rushed since they say it takes at least 10 days. I called on days 6, 7, and 8 and nope--not ready yet. Each time, they said it was going to be next to go in the kiln and they would text me later that day when it was ready. Not surprisingly, I never got a text and ended up having to give it to her late. No apologies, no refund on the rush fee. All of these interactions left a bad taste in my mouth so while we love the idea and the actual painting was very fun, we will probably try to find somewhere else to paint some pottery. It is way too expensive to risk not getting your pieces back! read more

I went here to do a glass fusion and once I was done with it I was told they hadn't had many glass fusions and it should be done the next day around the afternoon. I call the next day in the afternoon after hearing no news and get told they forgot to put it in but it should be done the next day. The next day rolls around and I'm in the area so I call for an update. I'm then told by an associate that they haven't had any glass fusions done since October, even though mine was done in November, and that she could not tell me when my piece would be ready. At this point I'm worried but decide to give it some time. I call later on and I'm told it will be ready the next day once again. I receive no call the next day but decided to wait one more day. Today I could not get anyone to answer the phone so I went up there myself just to be told that it was completed yesterday but I hadn't revived a call or text telling me it was complete. When they handed me my piece it looked nothing like what I had left with them. Pieces were missing, some had fallen off, and multiple pieces of glass were slid out of place. I wouldn't trust this place with your glass fusions. read more

I went here with a group today and we had a blast. We did clay throwing on the wheels and we got to make 3 pieces. I thought it was a great amount of pieces for the price. Based on some reviews here though, I'm a little nervous about getting our pieces, as I pray they don't get thrown out or anything. Our instructor Cheyenne was wonderful. Worst service I've ever had. The front desk lady was not nice at all and I've texted questions twice like they ask you to do on their voicemail and they're overall very short and rude. I was double checking when my pottery would be ready via text since they never told me when I was in on a Friday and was told via text "7 days"... so I replied and said "okay, so if I came in tomorrow (the following Friday), they would be ready?" and the response was "7 literal days". Thank you so much for your sass and help lol. They replied later and confirmed that my pieces were ready which I did appreciate. Haven't even mentioned yet that they are severely understaffed and when I got there with a friend we were told to just sit wherever. We assumed someone would come to us since we were given no instruction and after about 10 minutes of not being helped we asked the table next to us what to do and they instructed us to get papers from the back to fill out (would've been nice to know when we arrived). Because they were so understaffed it took us 53 MINUTES from that point to even get paint to start!! We were appalled and almost left. It was about 9pm by this point and we told the front desk lady, "hey, we've been here for almost an hour and don't have paints, we may not have time to finish" and her response was "we won't kick you out right at 10". Okay? That's great and all but no apologies for the wait or rude service. The only upside so far is that the pieces seemed good and I'm excited to see how they turn out. But I will never go back.
