Fabulous cabaret-type show with performer Arianna. She's a true (veri) Italian from Milan who sang, danced and explained Italian culture as part of the entertainment. She has an amazing voice! She could have been a finalist at the San Remo Music Festival - the most famous singing festival in Italy. She fessed up saying she had been an Italian Mouseketeer! The venue has a bar/lounge to enjoy cocktails then a few steps down further is the theater. You need to be mobile since there are a lot of steps. Seating is first come-first serve. I have to admit that seating is quite tight. You are shoulder to shoulder with your neighbors. Get cozy folks. They typically have magic shows here! If you want to see a historic night club, this would be the venue to come to and enjoy a show. Italiani Veri show was a real treat! Highly recommend it!

Very good view From entering to sitting down, we were well taken care of I had bought two tickets online but when checking in, it only showed one- I pulled up my ticket and the usher at the front quickly apologized and got us situated I really appreciate the quickness Everyone was super friendly We stopped by the bar before the show started and got some drinks Music was spectacular One of the best live shows I've got to experienced Definitely made me want to check out their other events 10/10 phenomenal!

We warmed up with a Hong Kong Hot Pot meal on Grant St capped off with Chinese Mai Tai's at LI PO The show was an amazing exhibition of male & female youth, eye popping physical beauty, great feet, balance, strength, perfect timing, ariel silk acrobatics, pole climbing & gymnastics, trapeze work, giant hula hoops, feet archery, contortion, energy, music, singing, poetry; as well as spoken SF history.... the 1906 'quake.... and tributes to the beats, writers, poets, lovers from Ginsburg to Kerouac Be advised! no breaks for over a 1 1/2hours....pee before the show! There was even a added act.... a gifted solo singer (sorry can't recall his name etc). His voice was superb... the song itself, done in a "musical" ie West Side Story...style , didn't really move me but his vitality was compelling! All in all, a fabulous night's entertainment & as Ryan, who was glowing, said: "I"m exhausted!" I get it.... watching all these pumped up glistening muscles sweat while their pores poured it out! my only regret.....I feel so stupid not to have seen Beach Blanket Babylon before it closed after a 40+ year stand at the club in 2019

I decided to head over for the Sunday night "cheaper Than Therapy" show on my own to try to pick myself up. I grabbed a liter of beer () from the bar and then we all crammed into the main stage, which was very intimate and cozy. I laughed and laughed and laughed, and I can genuinely say that I feel much better about things after going there tonight. The staff and host were all great. I think I'll make this a regular habit from now on when I visit SF. Rob.

The performance is very interactive and unique in that it draws the audience into the illicit behavior of the 1920 era's backroom saloons (think of Great Gatsby etc). You will be notified via text to arrive at a certain place and time with a secret password. Once you find your contact at that location you exchange information and given a location and another password to enter the establishment. This is where the fun begins. The outside of the place has something to be desired of but that is part of the whole appeal. You knock on the door and give the person the password to enter. Once inside the "performances" take place in several locations. The main "stage" has a combination of singing and dancing, as well as, vaudeville acts from that era. The second part of the location contains a "hidden" casino with a roulette, craps, and blackjack tables. The back of the place has a small room which you can view events happening in the changing room and a bar/performance/sitting area in the back. Performers will be interacting in front of you and all around you. It's a wonderful idea and great concept. We reserved a table in the front and watched a show with some wonderful singing, dance numbers, and comedy routines. You may not recognize most of the songs from that time but as the night progresses you will eventually find a few nuggets that you will easily recall hearing from an old movie or television show. I enjoyed listening to all of them and especially enjoyed the rendition of "We have no Banana's Today." I don't believe you could even create or sing that song today as it would offend just about the whole ethnic makeup of SF but the tongue and cheek performance was absolutely marvelous! We then moved to the back where we went to the "casino" room. I blew everything on black and when the ball landed on red we made our way to the back room. The back contains a small stage with a piano, bar, and sitting room. In the sitting room actors will be having conversations with each other and events will be taking place that creates the whole atmosphere of the speakeasy. Keep in mind that so much is happening around you that you can not possibly see and experience everything. That's part of the appeal of the show is that each person sees things differently and not everybody catches the whole storyline. I will not give too much away other than it was a wonderful evening and something I would highly recommend to others. I would suggest coming to the show in period attire as it helps create the mood of what you are about to see and experience. The performance is about a time and place long forgotten but part of our American History. It is presented in way that draws you into that era of dancing girls, booze and all.

I was there for "Dracula, A Feminist Revenge Fantasy, Really" and had a wonderful time. The sound system was pretty good; I heard most of everything that was said on stage, but whatever I missed can be blamed on my hearing, not their sound system! Seats were relatively comfortable and the legroom was at par with other theaters. The bathrooms, which were not separated for men and women, were clean with seat covers and plenty of toilet paper. It was a bit strange seeing men walk out of the stalls in the bathroom, but it didn't bother me. I would really prefer that the seat is returned to a downward position, though, and happy the floor was dry!

Bathrooms are clean and service is wonderful. I love the space--it's located upstairs in a hotel near Union Square. Support local theatre! Audience skews older. Possible Side Effects: * Hooting, hollering, and cheering at the onstage performance; * Riotous guffaws; * Both hands peeking out through shielded eyeballs during disturbing balloon-dental floss act; and * Amused laughter 24 hours post-show when recalling the tongue act. In a perfect mash-up of event and venue, Twisted Cabaret is currently being staged at Chinatown's long-shuttered, seedily hip, one-time airer of un-subtitled Bruce Lee films, the Great Star Theatre. Best ticket deals are through Goldstar.com where, for $16 apiece (including Goldstar fees), a laissez faire seating policy allows one to "sit anywhere except the first 4 rows". Watch the show and breathe a sigh of relief; seating within the first four rows might land you onstage, an unwitting participant in some humbling (and hysterical) part of the stage show. Alcoholic drinks are available for purchase in the theatre as is popcorn and cotton candy with a glow-stick center. The show is adult oriented but there's nothing there that wouldn't slay a teen or make you too uncomfortable if you were were sitting beside your own teenage offspring. Laughter is indeed the best medicine and laugh you will. The alcohol greases the wheels, so to speak. As a friend put it "I'm not sure I would've liked it as well without having drank first". So party on. Still not convinced? There's a tongue act. I rest my case.

I can easily say that the Climate Theater is the textbook idea of what you would consider "Alternative Spaces" Form Improv Comedy to underground fair...from Beckett to Brassieres and Corsets, you never know what is going to be at The Climate Next. The space is intimate but the stage is surprisingly lush for a small theater. The sound and lights are top rate, and the Cabaret colors makes you feel like you have walked into 1899. Only one star off for the sometimes unfortunate bouncing of the floor from the very loud Shadow Lounge during performances...but overall the Climate is a place to show someone who has never been to San Francisco what the real word "Underground" means.

I discovered about this show on Instagram ads, and I'm glad that I did. We parked at a garage about a block away via finding it on ParkWiz. The show was sexy, funny, and very entertaining. The seats were okay; not very comfy. The said that they just reupholstered the seats recently too. The theatre is 100 years old this year?! That's crazy. The host said that this place is haunted for sure. I didn't get to visit the bathroom so no idea how it is in there. We were seated in the B zone area to left of the stage, and we had a pretty good view of the stage. The staff were nice and friendly. If there's another interesting show here, I would definitely return. :)

A club shrouded in secrecy and mystery, they are owners of…read moreBohemian Grove the location where Alex Jones and other conspiracy theorists claim Moloch worship, children sacrifice, and Illuminati-level new world order planning among elites. The truth, while mundane, is probably much more interesting. Started by newspapermen and artists at the turn of the century, a going-away party turned into an artsy parody of secret societies that eventually became a "secret society". Their exclusivity eventually attracted the Rich which the Artists needed to fund their ideas and experiences. Their quote about weaving spiders is from Shakespeare, their owl statue is the Owl of Bohemia and not some satanic god. You can easily find accounts of the Bohemian Grove from "inside-scoops" from service people who have worked there, you can look through the pictures here and read the reviews to find out more about the club. Located on Post street, its a beautiful old red-brick building covered in vines, many people walk right past it because nothing about it sticks out. You cannot get in unless you are a member or a guest so it's a quick 5 minute stop for the curious. There is a mysterious black and white owl tile wall with owl statues right on the corner of Post across from this building, not sure if its also part of the Bohemian-club.
