A great place to watch a show. Entry and seating and drink ordering is very organized and quick. Seating is comfortable- there isn't a bad seat in the house. The theater seems to have a good HVAC system as it was comfortable inside. They have a wonderful collection of performers with lots going on each night. We saw Sutton Lee Seymour who was hilarious, clever and talented. We both ordered peanut dust martinis - would recommend! Comes with popcorn, too. Paying with pesos/cash allows for an efficient exit. read more

I really wanted to give The Palm a full 5/5 because, in many ways, it deserves it. From the moment we walked in, the service was incredible--from the door all the way to our seats. The staff made us feel welcomed and taken care of right away. Our first night, we saw the Beyoncé show, and it was an absolute 10/10. The queen who performed was phenomenal. From the live singing to the dancers, the stage presence, and even the storytelling woven into the performance--you could tell real effort, time, and heart went into that show. It truly felt like a Beyoncé experience, and the bar was set extremely high. Saturday night, we came back for the Lady Gaga performance. It was different. I thought it was good, just not really my jam. The drinks were noticeably watered down, and after spending $84 USD to get in and about $170 on tickets and drinks, I left feeling disappointed--especially when the music cut off mid-show. To the performer's credit, she powered through and kept it going, which I respected. That said, after how incredible the Beyoncé show was, it was hard for the Gaga set to live up to it. I was also a little disappointed to find out it wasn't a queen performing but a woman. Had I known that ahead of time, I probably would have chosen a different venue that night. The first show was truly amazing and unforgettable, but the second night didn't quite meet that same standard. The Palm has so much potential, and when it's done right, it's magic--I just wish the experience had been more consistent. read more

A group of is went to see Sutton Lee Syemour's new show Witch Please and I could not recommend it more. Sutton has put together a camp, silly and hilarious show that is a must for any fans of Wicked or the Wizard of Oz. You can expect fabulous costumes, stunning vocals and the drinks are pretty good as well. Definitely a must see whether it' your first time in PV or a seasoned visitor. I love the premise of this place. It is fun and the staff is efficient and friendly. Which makes it a fun and comfortable place to enjoy an entertaining show. Recently, I went to see the Nurse Jackie show... it seemed a little "thrown together" it had a few fun quips but not nearly the production of the other shows I have seen there. So I was a little disappointed in the price paid to entertainment value equation. However, that doesn't impugn the value of this establishment. read more

We found this place on a travel site and omg it was the best find of the whole trip! I wish we found it sooner so that we left time for more shows while we were in town BOOK IT NOW. We saw the men on fire but honestly, all of them looked incredible. The cocktails were yummy and the theater was big enough to have lots of people but intimate enough to not get lost in the crowd. Great venue to see a drag show. The night I attended, I saw Sutton Lee Seymour. She is a somewhat famous drag queen from Chicago that winters in PV. Show was great. A little over an hour. Place sells out so definitely reserve tickets in advance. There are three or four shows a night that are all different. All very well done. read more

We caught 4 shows when we were in town, and they were all top notch! Miss Conception, Mama Tits, Sutton Lee Seymour and Roy Cruz (Freddie Mercury impersonator). We really enjoy drag performers/impersonators who do their own vocals, and this group was excellent! Just the right amount of audience participation. The sound system and video/lighting were great! We really enjoyed seeing Coco Peru in 2016, so I was excited to see what the 2017 lineup was going to be. To be honest, I was a bit disappointed when I researched the available shows during our week-long vacay. It was full of acts and people I didn't recognize, or were repeats of shows we already saw. One day we headed to the Palm to get some advice. My spouse suggested we take in "The Immaculate Miss Conception". I smirked but agreed. The poster depicted a drag queen in several outfits, with the most obvious one being singer Adele. I thought, oh great, we're going to watch a drag queen lip sync cover songs? Boy, was I wrong! PRICING: The tickets ran between $22 and $30, the pricier ones being "VIP seating" but really, the room is so intimate that every seat has an excellent view. CHECK IN: They ask you to arrive at least 20 minutes prior, but all seats are reserved so no need to rush. The former Sama Martini Bar next to the Palm has been bought out by the Palm with a name change to Backstage Martini Bar, so, if you're having a drink you can take it into the Palm, but I don't think it counts toward your two-drink minimum though. THE IMMACULATE MISS CONCEPTION: A table top full of wigs and some hanging costumes welcomes you. A short intro video plays before the show started. To keep it short and sweet and without giving away surprises that I enjoyed, I'll say that he/she performs show tunes with coordinating costumes, does NOT lip sync and has a very good singing voice, doesn't waste time with costume changes (but has many, you'll see how), participates with the audience, and ends the show with a proud & uplifting feeling. Highly recommended! OVERALL: The Palm brings in really good acts. Don't be fooled by just looking at the posters and making a judgement like how I did. read more

My biggest complaint, we didn't discover this great gem until 2 days before we left. We had spent 2 weeks in PV but hadn't trekked enough to find it by chance. We were in town for a specific reason and decided to stay a bit longer after friends left. We had so much fun at the first showing, we got tickets for another show later in the evening. Everyone was so friendly and the drinks were prompt and well mixed. Honestly, I'm looking forward to my next trip to Puerto Vallarta and a lot of it has to do with Palms Cabaret. read more

This place is so much fun! We visit Vallarta every year, and somehow didn't discover The Palm until two years ago, but we know we will go back every visit! Convenient location - right in the romantic zone. They have a comfortable sitting area outside the theater to relax or enjoy a drink while you're waiting for your show. They have friendly staff at the theater to describe the shows and sell tickets (cash or credit), or you can purchase tickets online (I've done both). The theater itself is very nice. Big enough to feel the energy of a large crowd, but small enough that there are no bad seats. Seating is first come-first serve, but you can pay an extra fee (it was $5 for the last show we went to) for "VIP" which essentially means you get to pick your seats first. The variety of shows is great! We love Bohemia Viva - we've seen them two years in a row. We also saw a great Gypsy Kings-style band, and we've seen a comedy show. There were others that looked amazing - a great Joan Rivers impersonator, drag shows, and tons more. Great theater, great shows. We love it! read more

From the owner/manager to the box office to the servers to the production crew and entertainers - this is a well run business. The shows are superbly entertaining with very talented performers and musicians. They give it their all. The Cabaret setting makes for a close-up and personal experience with the entertainers. Try to find this kind of atmosphere back home. Excellent ventilation, great seating arrangement, attentive servers. Show price$ are rea$onable. What a great addition to the City of Puerto Vallarta. They will take cash or credit cards for show tickets and drinks. There may be a 5% markup for paying for show tickets with a credit card. Highly recommended. As always, for real. We have visited this entertainment venue several times in the past. They have made some great improvements since we were there 2 years ago. The furniture and layout have been updated and we really appreciated the fact that seats are now assigned in advance. Access to drinks is much simpler now that they are all ordered through their efficient and friendly servers. The show we saw on this particular visit was Miss Conception. One of my favorite things about The Palm is the variety of the entertainment that they bring to the area. Miss Richfield and Coco Peru were my favorite comedians this past season. Bohemia Viva, Well Strung, and Amy Armstrong were really good vocal performances. Luna Rumba and Latcho & Andrea are each unique performances with latin and gypsy rhythms. My favorite celebrity impersonator as Thirsty Burlington as Cher which is part of The Birdcage show. The vocals are live and they are amazing! The most ambitious shows were Desperate Princesses and Greater Tuna. I am now living full time in Vallarta and am so glad to have a venue of this caliber to keep me entertained. read more

Over the 15 years I've becoming to Puerto Vallarta it's been amazing to watch the live entertainment blossom! Leading the way is The Palm Cabaret & Bar. It never ceases to amaze me the local and international talent that performs on that stage. From the acoustical skills of Piel Canela to the musical talents of Branden & James back for the second season. Amy Armstrong does a fantastic job attracting talent and also puts on several entertaining shows herself. The owners and staff are personable and very attentive. They appreciate each patron - be it a regular goer or someone who just stopped by out of curiosity. With two shows a night, it's easy to make it work before or after dinner. It's easy to check out the acts performing online and buy tickets there or from the box office.
