The Osprey Observer started publishing as a newsletter in 2001. The main focus was to cover community news and activities specifically in FishHawk Ranch. After the first month, residents started requesting more news from the surrounding community and we started to expand. We added the subdivision of FishHawk Trails, River Hills and Bloomingdale within the first four months and were printing more than 10,000 copies per month after only six months. Quickly we realized there could be unlimited growth to the paper and we had to strive to maintain a focus. What did we want to become? What continued to set us apart from the rest? The response is content. We are different because our stories cover the communities we are in. We wanted to maintain our reputation as a strong community newspaper despite our desire to grow. Our first goal was to identify 15,000 homes to include in the Bloomingdale/FishHawk edition and then to expand after 18 months into a completely new edition, Riverview. The Riverview edition started with eight pages and 10,000 homes and is now 36 pages delivered to 16,500 homes in Riverview and Apollo Beach.

They have a TON of choices and their prices are out of this world! As in with the exception of special/first editions, all hardcovers are only $2 and paperbacks are $1.50!!! Where else have you seen prices like this?!?! (Seriously though please share because I'd love to visit that place too.) In addition to books this store also has smaller things like small toys and stickers (which are still crazy cheap at only 25¢!!).If you're heading down to Englewood, stop by The Bookworm and get yourself a bargain book (or 10 stickers like me).

Monday my carrier delivered a WSJ instead of my normal Tribune. I called around 8:30am and they…read morepromised me a paper by noon. At 3;00pm still no paper. They said carrier couldn't make the delivery. I was told he would deliver both papers on Tuesday. Only one paper arrived. The carrier had the gall to include a letter asking for a Xmas gift. Poor service and the help desk lies to you. Xmas gift? I don't think so when you don't do your job.

Big store with tons of selections…read more I was nervous from pictures that this would be all comic books. I was a little relieved when we pulled up and there was a sign that included toys. We were here on a very specific mission, one son was looking for ghostbusters toys and the other was looking for pokemon cards. One of the employees told us that they get the most calls from people looking for pokemon cards. So I don't bury the lead, they don't have just packs of pokemon cards, but they do have a set that includes multiple packs for $60. We ended up getting that for my older son and I've been giving him a pack every couple of days. I was little nervous about our mission to find ghostbuster stuff. There were tons of star wars stuff and a lot of funko figurines. We did find ghostbuster funko figures, but that wasn't really what we were looking for. Eventually after walking around a bit, we did find three small ghostbuster items. I think they're meant to be kept on a desk, but my son has been playing with them like they're toys. I haven't seen ghostbusters so I'm not going to describe this well, but they are items to track and then trap ghosts. He was ecstatic that we found them, so mission accomplished. If you're looking for comic books then this is heaven. If you're looking for specific toys, it may be hit or miss, but for us it was a hit. This is definitely a place worth checking out.

I asked male employee at help desk where to find puzzle books, he said "over in corner" and kept…read moretyping. I waited a beat but he didnt look up to acknowledge me, so I walked away saying just never mind, but saw 2 other women approach him & he then promptly led them to their book. I went to check out counter and told the lovely lady named Kristen(?)of my ordeal, she led me to books. I was visibly upset and stating why would he be this way. Male employee heard me & said he was in the middle of something and would have shown me, why could he not have used common courtesy, looked up & said just to give him a minute and would show me. No problem immediately showing other women their books! This is a nice place to go and relax and he ruined atmosphere, thankfully Kristen(?) was there.
