Over the past 9 years, I have purchased several items at this store. The prices and items are good. I've recommended the store to several people, who have all told me that the woman owner is very rude. I've justified her behavior because I try not to judge people who are curt (maybe they had a bad day?) But....today the owner went totally wacko! She was extremely rude to me. 1st I asked her about a repair for a pearl necklace. She said no one can repair it because no one in the area has the proper technique for this. When I said that a friend told me about a bead store that could (because I thought she might want to know about it), she got upset...said "then listen to your friend but I'm telling you it can't be done" Then I asked her about a price on an item, and, when I said "I had called, a few years ago, to see if I could order as a (last minute) Christmas gift over the phone", the owner began telling me about why they don't take phone orders. I interrupted her (to save her time, because I already knew why they don't take phone orders)...and said "that's ok. I understand why you don't take phone orders, but I'm here and can purchase one now", and she asked me to leave the store and not come back! She said I interrupted her. I must be crazy because I apologized for interrupting, and repeated that I understood about the phone orders, and just wanted to know the price (so I could buy one) and she asked me to leave again!! No worries ...I will NEVER go back there. be back. I'm going to assume she is distraught because her VERY nice, kind and talented father passed away a few months ago. Before I had even uttered several words to the owner/jeweler, she was rude, irritable and condescending. I needed a small repair on a necklace chain and when she told me I'd have to leave it, I decided to find another jeweler who could do the repair while I waited. Frankly, I didn't want to stay there another moment with this unpleasant woman and I certainly didn't want to give her my business. Look elsewhere for another jeweler. Jain Jewels was recommended to me by a friend 15 years ago. Anila is my go to expert from the simplest job of replacing a watch battery or checking and cleaning a ring to designing a new bracelet. We discussed how to repurpose the gems from an old fashioned brooch into a wearable piece of jewelry. Absolutely the best. The business is celebrating 40 years. That should say quite a lot about the satisfaction customers have received over the years. Buyers beware. I went into Jain Jewelers to have a diamond set. I am a teacher, and the diamond is worth a few months of my pay. I just wanted to make sure the GIA number matches the diamond before and after. The owner took great offense to this, and told me she deals with millions of dollars worth of diamonds, and that she has been in business for 45 years etc, as she brags about the business she's done.... I told her I am sorry, and that I had my diamonds switched before at other places. Instead of understanding my trust issue on going to places with this very expensive ring, and being understanding she told me to just leave. She told me I had a horrible attitude, or something like that. My attitude was nothing but friendly, and more amazed that she wouldn't do business with "people like me". I apologized, as she was still rude to me. After she just kicked me out of the store, as this was the first place to ever just kick me out for asking for verification of my diamond. Please don't go to this place, as they need to get off their high horse, and be more understanding. An engagement ring isn't cheap, and I didn't want $15,000 to be lost. As I read the other negative reviews for this place I have to say they are all correct. Just rude horrible customer service, and who knows if they would take your diamond. Normally any jewelers wouldn't have a issue with what I asked, and would be understanding of my issue. I don't know them, as I never did business with them before. Please just go to any other place, and don't risk anything with them as they brag about how well they do/did. Also for the owner if you are reading this... You need your attitude changed... Not me. Treat your customers better, as no one is ever going to recommend you. I will make sure to tell everyone now to not go here. You lost my business, and now others I know. read more

I have never written a review before, but then again, I have never witnessed such rude behavior or lack of respect by a business owner in my life. My 89-year-old step- mother had a necklace that needed to be repaired. She is in poor health so I dropped her off at the door. All seemed fine when I walked in after parking the car although my step-mother was a little confused about exactly what repair needed to be done. The owner's father was trying to help her but was not sure how to handle my step- mother's confusion. The owner was extremely rude to both of them, first her father and then my step-mother. She finally stopped the jewelry repair she was working on in the back of the store and came over. After an abrupt conversation, consisting almost entirely of her berating my step-mother for loosing the bale of the necklace and multiple questions expressing disbelief about how the necklace got broken, she had my step- mother confused, upset, and angry. The owner then told my step-mother she needed to improve her attitude and instructed us to leave. I have never witnessed such disrespect for older persons as she displayed to both her father and my step-mother. Yes, it takes patience and a little more time to work with elders, but you gain satisfaction from helping someone that needs s little more attention and understanding. I was embarrassed for her and she certainly lost two new customers. read more

I recently needed some watch batteries replaced and the most convenient location was this store. I was pleased with the 2 great reviews given and decided to give it a try. This father and daughter team is wonderful! I took 4 watches to be done and the price was unheard of..... $21 for 4 watches. The last time place I went to was $25 for one watch. Service was delightful.... very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I would definitely recommend Jain Jewelers for repair work and they have beautiful jewelry as well. This will now be my go-to store for any watch/jewelry repair or if I'm looking for a new piece of jewelry. read more
