Rip off. I paid them to fix my bracelet and it broke not even two weeks later. Then they told me it would continue to break because of the type of gold it was. I stopped in to shop for a ring upgrade. Upon entering the small establishment, I was greeted by a tall blonde woman who asked what I was looking for and said she could help me. However, she asked another short brunette woman to help me instead. Very awkward, uncomfortable interaction between the staff members, which made the shopping experience poor. Moreover, during my session, the woman offered to clean my current ring while I was shopping. When I received my ring back, a stone was missing. They checked the machine and the stone was inside. They said that they can repair it for $75 and that it would take a week to a week and a half! What?! I ended up purchasing from LC Rings of Tampa instead (who repaired my ring on the spot free of charge and offered same day sizing). The most impressive thing about this jewelry store is its customer service. I needed a watch repair done right the first time, and Bartlett didn't let me down. The owner is typically on site so quality control is in effect. My watch took quite awhile to repair but they have a certified Rolex technician who is both methodical and an expert in his field. The repair was given an estimate prior to work being completed. I picked up my watch and it looked as good as its original state. Polished and even a few helpful hints from Mr. Bartlett himself! I went to Bartlett Jewelers and they were able to fix 2 necklace clasps while I waited, but the 3rd clasp needs replacing (soldering) so it will take a week. He also removed some scratches from a ring and ran my necklaces through the sonic cleaner so they sparkle and shine. VERY reasonable prices. I highly recommend Bartlett Jewelers! read more

IM NOT SURE HOW THEY HAVE ANY GOOD REVIEWS! My fiancé proposed to me with his grandmothers 60 year old engagement ring. He asked me to go to Bartlett because they're local and not a "big box store". I took it in to get it fixed and Bartlett told me that it had some prongs that needed to be fixed. Ok? No big deal, right? After telling me that they needed to fix a couple of prongs, they were adamant that my ring was not an engagement ring and that it instead was a "cocktail ring". They REFUSED to call it an engagement ring. The last time I checked, an engagement ring is what you're proposed to with. How dare they. Nevertheless, I stayed and allowed them to work with my ring. I received a call a week later that the ring was ready. When I went in it was sized to my PINKY! What the hell? How do you get the size THAT wrong? They fixed it thankfully and they "fixed" the broken prongs. 2 weeks later.. here I am. One of my diamonds fell out because they did a crap job at fixing the prong and the other is loose. We ended up taking it to Jared, where they are not only taking wonderful care of my ring. They actually call it what it is (AN ENGAGEMENT RING). They even cover your ring AND the diamonds for 6 months after working on it. They also show you everything that's wrong and that's been done wrong to the ring under a microscope. That's now I know Bartlett messed it up. I'm PISSED. We wasted so much money here just to lose a diamond and deal with very unprofessional people. We will NOT be back. I adore this place! The men who work here are so sweet and considerate. They love what they do, and it shows. They will handle anything you need at a reasonable price. I am going to take all of my jewelry here to be cleaned, fixed, etc. They do a fabulous job and really care about their customers. My boyfriend brought in some watches to be looked at, and they changed the batteries and gave him advice as to what he can do with the other watches. I'm am so grateful they did! They took care of them while I waited, they are back in shape, a prong was tightened and the rings were cleaned. Bartlett Jewelers is a family owned small business. They are very nice, and well educated about all the jewelry they sell. They have very nice Estate pieces. I have purchased Estate jewelry and Seiko watches here. They change your watch battery in front of you, and if you buy jewelry they will size it with no additional charge. There is NO need to go to the "chain" retail jewelry stores. Their prices are so much higher and the quality is not as good as Bartlett Jewelers. The Estate pieces they have are very good quality. It's like this. I have a lot of watches. Some real nice and some not so expensive. Some Quartz and some auto. Some simple some complicated. The folks here handle everything capably and at a very reasonable price. The jewelry is somewhat unique. Nice pieces for men as well as the ladies. The watch selection could use a few more brands. Best thing though is what they charge for battery changes, $6, and watch bracelet link removals for resizing at around $10 to $20. Don't go to those mall and battery shops that charge way more and try to sell you on lifetime batteries for 28 dollars or more. $90 at the mall if they see you have a higher end watch. These guys are 5 minutes from the big mall and your work is being performed by a reputable jeweler and not some tech. Shop while you wait. I have rarely been asked to leave my items to pick up days later. All in all a top notch group of people at Bartlett jewelers. read more
