And for me, it seems to help stave off hunger pangs. The flavor is reminiscent of beer, but livelier and somewhat sweeter. And did I mention it's only 40 calories per 8 ounces! Everything Natural Too also has added a bakery counter with gluten-free products - chocolate tarts, apple nut tarts, coconut cookies...a fairly wide selection. Why? because on THREE separate occasions the owner has treated me quite badly. 1- one time when I was shopping, I needed to use the ladies room. As I approached the door to enter the store and was struggling to open it due to a badly broken arm and back injury, the owner cut in front of me and slammed the door onto me. That was the last time for me. I am honestly surprised that they are still in business because I have met countless women who have also stopped whopping there after being treated badly by the owner. It's a little hard to miss, however you can see it once you've entered the shopping center. Family owned and operated since 1987. Think of Whole Foods, much less busy, not a whole lot of rushing (which is a good thing) and you take your time to browse around the smaller store. The quiet and calm was cool, for a Thursday evening, not too shabby. We came across a lot of products we haven't seen before. Great options from a vast majority of gluten free to bring your own containers for pasta to help reduce waste. Plenty of signs to look at and read what we can do to be proactive with our bodies, lifestyle and the environment. I loved knowing this was a smaller scale. The food was delicious. Is there another word that means better than delicious? Because that's what it was. There was something for everyone and every taste from a 5 year old who didn't stop eating, to the vegans, vegetarians, lactose intolerants, my 95 year old mother and everyone in between. The eclectic menu Michael devised included Mediterranean food (greek salad, sides of grape leaves, olives and feta, thoughtfully on the side for our LI's) , Mexican food (he bakes his own tortilla chips and with the lime pulled pork, basmati rice and beans and pico de gallo, you've never had a tastier dish), an Asian chicken dish (chicken gai yung that had our guests running up to the table for 3rds and 4ths) and grilled vegetables from his own garden. The flavors were so complementary - it all melded together beautifully. Also, Michael is a true sweetheart. Just a pleasure to deal with and as professional as they get. He arrived exactly when he said he would, brought all the necessary accoutrements, including things I didn't even think of, and personally supervised his assistant in making sure the set up looked beautiful and worked easily for our guests (from a buffet point of view.) I wouldn't hesitate a NY second to recommend him for any catering needs. As a matter of fact, the engagement party was for my nephew and his soon to be bride. They want to hire him to cater their wedding!!
