This is a darling place to get gifts. They have cute homemade items like covers for iPads and Kindles plus lots of seasonal items. Right now there are a multitude of Yule tide red and green wonderfulness everywhere you look. Full time items they stock are Nora Fleming serving and party ware with all the cute mini's. Oh boy, this store is way too close to me with all those adorable choices. My daughter had received a Nora Fleming serving platter for a wedding gift and while I lusted after it, it was an abstract yearning. Now the source to satisfy that craving is oh so nearby with friendly people who work there and other reasons to visit. I have already succumbed once, buying a cake stand and a blue bird mini for my daughter for Christmas. How long before I mosey over "just to look" and end up with my own Nora Fleming habit? You better come here quick and buy some Nora Fleming while there is still some left! Make a day of it, there is a tea room, yarn shop, quilting shop, florist, dog supplies, guitar shop and all kinds of restaurant choices right in downtown Frankfort. I asked if she had anything that had hummingbirds on it and she quickly suggested a few options. She asked my budget and showed me one of the loveliest table cloths I have ever seen. She said it was over my budget but she'd give it to me to meet my budget. I bought something else for my sister and she even took a few dollars off of that for me. She was incredibly helpful and friendly and even put it in a nice gift box for me with tissue paper. I would recommend this store to anyone in or visiting the Frankfort area. When I did an online search, this nearby place came up and the reviews were good so I went on 5/25/25. I walk in and was immediately greeted by C who is the owner. I let her know what I wanted and she told me she could definitely accommodate my request while I waited. The shop smells so good when you walk in. I saw a peach rose for the corsage and C let me see the various ribbons she had and I told her the recipient is a jazzy lady so the sparkly ribbon she had I knew would be perfect. The end product was GORGEOUS! My play mother absolutely LOVED the corsage and was completely surprised. It looked so good with the outfit she had on. While waiting, I had a wonderful conversation with C. She had such positive vibes in the store with pillows on chairs, one saying "Love" and the other one saying "Always". I asked if this was a black owned business and she said "yes" and told me the history of the business and how her Dad had been a florist for over 70 years! When the corsage was complete, it was absolutely stunning! I told her I would be back for a special arrangement for my sister in August. I really enjoyed my visit here and will spread the word about this small black owned business so it continues to thrive. After finding out I love flowers, she was gracious enough let me pick out a single flower to take for myself. What wonderful customer service! There are lots of fabrics and they are available for home visits. I liked it so much that I was very dismayed to see a dog there when we visited. I get it, you don't have much foot traffic but a dog just doesn't belong in the public part of a business. Granted, it was a tiny, extremely quiet and well behaved dog who went immediately to sleep. But I haven't brought my daughter back here because she has such severe dog allergies. Please keep the dog in the office part! I do plan a return visit and sure hope there aren't any dogs to greet me, no matter how cute and well behaved they are.
