What a lovely restaurant! We went in for brunch for my cousin's birthday. There was potentially if space available for a group, however, we did make reservations in advance. The service was good, the servers were very kind and patient. My family said the oysters were really good, they ended up ordering a second round. The deviled eggs were perfectly seasoned and moist, great consistency. The French toast was excellent! It was a generous size, I ended up taking some leftovers. The ambiance here is warm, inviting and was not too loud. Our server was incredibly attentive and friendly. The buffalo cauliflower bites we ordered were great! Crunchy and not soggy like some you can get. The wedge salad was not a tradional wedge but fantastic nonetheless. We split the brick chicken entree. I don't normally order chicken but it was moist and flavorful. The mashed served with it was a delicious homestyle mash. We ended the meal with the lovely peach crumble. As much as I LOVE a happy hour deal, I never get out of work early enough to go. But this time I did!! It was a hot day so we both ordered the cucumber cocktail which was so refreshing. I normally wouldn't go for that, because it reminds me of spa water but it was perfect. We ordered oysters along with the Brussel sprouts and it was delish. For dessert, we got the chocolate banana cake with ice cream but it sounded better than it was. The cake was dry and felt like an old muffin. Other than the dessert, no complaints. happy to have picked this place for dinner with the fam! we went on a weekday so it wasnt so crowded. Perfect since we got smaller kids with us! we sat outside since the August weather was nice that day and made it for happy hour. Came here for dinner on a Friday night and was seated promptly with our reservation. While the service was very friendly, it was so, so slow. We waited probably close to 10 minutes before our server came to greet us. The drinks took very long to come out despite being sat right by the bar, as did the food. We ordered some cocktails- one of their specialty drinks and an old fashioned, both were fantastic! For our starter, we got the sticky shrimp which were great, definitely my favorite thing that I tried. My husband ordered the French dip and I went for the chicken sandwich. The chicken was crispy and I loved the pairing of it with the pickles and slaw, but the piece of chicken was huge and there wasn't enough slaw to balance it out so the sandwich tasted a bit dry. The fries were hand cut and tasted good so there was a lot of potential there, but were underdone. Overall the ambiance is nice and the patio seating is perfect for an evening cocktail, so I'd come back for a round of drinks and the sticky shrimp! read more

Don't park in the lot next door. They will tow you. We first were seated by the back entrance and restrooms. After the second bump on the head by people and service folks, I asked to be moved. It's a very noisy environment with lots of people enjoying the party atmosphere. That part was great. I got the short rib ragu. The broccoli was burnt to a crisp and the short rib meat was minimal but I did have lots of pappardelle pasta with a nice sauce. Another member of our group said his steak sandwich was inedible and left most of it on his plate. Our server disappeared for long periods of time so we had to flag him down for service. Over all, I'd give this a mediocre rating for food. It's more of a great bar. read more

Great atmosphere as it reminds me of their sister location (the barrow house). It's a funky vibe and truly fits the name park side social -- you feel important here. The cocktails are phenomenal and so funky fresh from the names all the way to the flavors! The food is average. I find that the hope is to make the plates just as funky as their drinks versus providing some staple dishes without the elevated spin. While there our elevated brussel sprouts weren't cooked all the way through, the French fries weren't crisp and my pulled pork sandwich was filled with just chunks of fatty pieces of pork. This place is magical and one of my favorite Christmas bars, especially in NJ! I love how they have vegan options and it's clearly labeled on the menu. My personal favorite is their version of a Christmas themed Espresso martini with almond milk called Rudolph's Replacement. They even serve it in the cutest dinosaur with a Santa hat mug. The drink is so fun and decadent and has just the right amount of sweetness to balance out the tartness of the booze. I also tried the buffalo cauliflower wings and they were spicier than I expected them to be, which I loved. The decor and ambiance here is so wonderful and I really love all of the intricate details. There's great photo opps no matter where you turn. Everyone here was so friendly from the other patrons to the staff. read more

I was able to get last minute reservations for Miracle on Bloomfield. The restaurant was very nicely decorated for the holidays. It was very busy but our server checked in on us throughout our meal. We shared the sticky shrimp and spinach dip. We all enjoyed the appetizers. I had the short ribs. I enjoyed my meal. I did find the amount of kale a bit overwhelming. We ended our night with the warm sugar donuts. They were very tasty. The star of the night were the cocktails. Some of them were served in festive mugs. They were IG worthy. It's a very cute place to sit and socialize as the name states. Even, better during the holidays. It is transformed into a Christmas Miracle. During the holidays it is called Miracle on Bloomfield. It just the right place to get you into the holiday spirit. We have a few drinks. The Krampus is large but spicy. I had the Chrismapolitan. While the cup is small, it packs a punch. The Secret Santa was a hit too. My burger and fries were very tasty but they ran out of buns - they offered different choices of bread but it wasn't the same. So we haven't been to the Wellmont since last year; my wife likes to "pregame" her concerts/shows, who am I to argue. If you've been on Bloomfield Ave, driving, it's sometimes tough to figure where stuff is...no diff here. But take your time. Small Lot, shared with tire store. Anyway, we got there and they have a great space! Big bar and high tops, dining room and what I was told wax a great outdoor space when weather turns! Sat at bar, greeted by staff and Julien, very nice young man, incredibly attentive. You could see a lot o& enthusiasm with staff. Drinks, we ordered apps (oysters, burrata, shrimp and chorizo) all excellent. After a while, we decided to split a Parkside Burger... and they literally split order in kitchen! What service! Great burger, great fries, and if I didn't mention, the apps were all A+! Great start to evening and Julien gets A+++! read more

We had a wonderful Mother's Day brunch at Parkside Social! The food was absolutely delicious. I had the Parkside Cobb, which was amazing, and someone else at our table raved about the watermelon frisée salad. We also tried the burger, brunch burger, and hangover hash--everything was flavorful and the portions were generous. We started with the Snowy Mountains appetizer. I didn't try it (not a fan of gravy), but everyone else said it was delicious. The ambiance was lovely, and our server was incredibly welcoming and kind. I've been to Parkside Social for their soft opening a few years ago, but this was my first time dining for dinner. I'm very familiar with the restaurant's parent company, Skopos', holiday-themed pop-up restaurants during the holiday season and had to come back to Parkside to check it out. Reservations across all restaurants are very hard to obtain during the holiday pop-up, so I was happy to check it out one day before the pop-ups ended on January 5. From the coasters to the ceiling, the restaurant was absolutely decked out in holiday decor! It absolutely embodied the essence of the holiday spirit. The drink menu had a wide array of holiday-themed drinks that came in glasses/mugs that were on theme as well. They absolutely looked as good as they tasted. Over the years at different Skopos restaurants I've tried many drinks from the holiday menu, but yesterday's didn't disappoint and was likely my favorite of all. I had the Santa Slide which was the perfect balance of strong and sweet. I also had the Parkside burger which was elevated by havarti cheese and pork belly. My favorite part of the meal was dessert; I had a pumpkin creme brulee which was simply divine! Our service during the evening was fantastic as well. I would absolutely return to Parkside during the Miracle popup, but moreover for a delicious meal anytime during the year! read more

This review is for happy hour and first impressions. I had liked the previous restaurant here. Parkside has done the interior more hunting lodge/natural history museum/simple tables and a very nice bar still. I sat at the bar and watched the artistry of a craftsman bartender make a great whiskey sour that involved several peels of fresh citrus. Had to try four of the $1.50 happy hour oysters. They were amazing, sourced from some place near Barnegat Bay. Served with a great mignonette and a red sauce, plus more fresh citrus. Will return to try more! Cheers. read more

The Christmas decorations were cute nice vibe and food smelled good but after our bar experience we opted not to order. truthfully staff was rude. I get it was busy and crowded at one point , but one of the servers pushed my friend to get out of the way. Then the bartender refused to make my friends drink because it's not a common drink and takes too long?? It was a Long Island iced tea! Not to mention the rude facial expressions every time he placed an order for same drink. he made 2 already for him and was quick making them my friend even told him it was well made. We waited at least 15 mins and he still had no drink so we decided to close the tab. Returned for new Chef Vincent's outstanding wine dinner. Every course perfectly executed and paired, with his genius pairing a potato waffle wedge with succulent short rib. Five courses were enough to satisfy without leaving stuffed, let alone the premiere wines comprising excellent value. Service was attentive but unobtrusive . This was such a cute place to have brunch at during the weekend. They are currently doing the miracle on Christmas so their entire restaurant is decked out in Christmas decor. We were fortunate enough to visit the Miracle on Bloomfield pop up 2 times this season and it brought us so much joy. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and so festive and fun. After coming to The Parkside Social on multiple occasions for brunch, happy hour, dinner, we were so excited to share this gem with our friends. They loved the ambience. We didn't order many of the specialty drinks with the exception of the Secret Santa and the Christmapolitan (my personal favorites). The appetizers were probably the star of the night. The staff is not kidding when they say the sticky shrimp is the best starter. It's so damn good. I could've eaten it all myself. We also ordered the buffalo cauliflower and wings, both tasty and finger licking good. The entrees were okay. I was a bit disappointed (my fault entirely) after realizing the seared mushroom "scallops" were not scallops are all. I feel the entree menu could have used another seafood option but that's purely to satisfy my craving. Two of my friends opted for the sweet potato ravioli and were not impressed. Unfortunately, it was bland and could have used some more salt, pepper or red pepper flakes. It'd recommend sticking with the roasted chicken, pork chop, short rib or one of their sandwiches. Lastly, this one goes out to Josh (bartender). Talk about great customer service. I inquired on a Spanish coffee (not on their menu) and he made it his mission to get it right. It's hipsters. They got this saloon thing going for them, which surprisingly works ambiance-wise. The food tasted good, but portions were smaller than I'd have hoped for the price. We opted to sit at the bar and had the most attentive, friendly and overall magnificent service from the bartender. I so regret not getting her name, but she is a rock star. The drinks were great, the wine was a perfect pour, the Burrata platter was one of the best we've ever had and plentiful. At the suggestion of our incredible server / bartender extraordinaire my bestie had the filet mignon which she enjoyed and the mashed potatoes were amazing. I had the chicken which was equally good (the breast was slightly over but ok with the sauce). The salad side That was served with it was incredibly delish. Would be fabulous as an entree salad. So crisp and refreshing and tons of flavor, one of those keep going back for more bites flavor. We had the donuts for dessert.... Run - now to get them. Sooooooo good. Brussels sprouts were delicious especially the honey mustard dipping sauce. It also included french fries. The pretzel was just okay, a bit over cooked. The cheese sauce that came with the pretzel was just okay and Dijon mustard was potent. The apple pie was delicious, and the apples were thinly sliced. The service was good!
