The food was overall pretty good. We started with appetizers-fried calamari was a generous portion, contained tentacles (yum) and fresh; the artichoke and spinach dip was delicious and served in a large fried tortilla bowl; the portobello mushroom was okay. The skirt steak was good, and we chose rice and veggies. The swiss mushroom burger was good but different. It was a portobello on the burger with Swiss cheese on top of that big mushroom cap. I didn't care for the bun, but I was already full so it worked out. The place is decorated so cute with a beautiful Christmas tree, nutcrackers, and decorations and lights galore. We were the only ones in the dining room which was nice. The outside tables and bar were full and there was only one server. This made the service a bit slow to order and not overly attentive. Our server was pleasant but we felt bad as there was only one person for the whole place. I give her credit that she didn't loose her cool with how busy it was for her being the only one with alot of tables to get to. read more

Heard about this place and my wife an I decided to try it today for lunch. We are local and are always looking for new places to eat. Evolution is a hidden gem set in a strip mall which is easily found. Atmosphere is warm, service was great. Met one the owner's Joe who greeted as and explained the restaurants concept and menu. We had two appetizers the rock shrimp and chicken siracha meatballs. The shrimp were freshly breaded and cooked perfectly. The chicken meatballs you can tell were made from scratch. Both were very good. I had a nice Caesar salad . Very fresh and delicious. My wife had the pulled pork sandwich which she said was good. No scrimping on the portions. Fun vibe . We went Saturday night for the first time with friends. I had reserved a table and we got one in the back corner which and quiet (but we were there early). Our waiter was excellent. Service was attentive. My friend and I got the salmon special stuffed with lobster which we both enjoyed tremendously. The two men ordered a burger. One loved it. The other had ordered medium rare and it was overcooked so he wasn't very happy. But otherwise the food is good and reasonably priced and service was great. We'll go back again and if we do order a burger we will stress how we want it cooked. I'd give them a 2nd opportunity. Only downside is that finding a parking spot could be a challenge. There's a nice big lot but there are several businesses and if you can't find a spot in there I don't know where you'd park. read more

I hosted a private event here and have nothing but great things to say. Working with Dina and Joe was very easy and they were so flexible. It is very clear that they truly care about their customers . The food was fantastic and better than I expected. We were a group of about 40 in the private room and it worked so nicely. I would highly recommend this place for any private event. I have also been here for dinner so I would also recommend it for dinner. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and flexible. the food was absolutely delicious and my guess could not stop complimenting how good it was and for the private event menu it had a great variety. We did the brunch menu and it truly had something for everyone. Dina even let me change one or two things to accommodate my group better. Plus, what can bet unlimited mimosas! I took my family for Easter Brunch as we were looking for a buffet. The front door was broken (not their fault) but had to come in a small door which opened into the dining room with nobody telling us where to check in. The brunch was advertised with carving stations but there was only one and it was lamb. Everything was luke warm at best. On our first trip up there was a small shot glass with a nice shrimp so I took one but they were never refilled. The lighting was poor and there were no labels on the food trays so there was no way of telling what you were about to eat. It was advertised that there would be a dessert station but I didn't see much of anything there. Very disappointing to say the least. read more

Their regular menu is phenomenal, but the weekly specials and happy hour are where they shine. I haven't been anywhere that has such great happy hour deals since before the pandemic! Portion sizes are huge for the prices, and the service is always amazing! Love all of the bartenders and servers here! I sent the Boys to Evolution Restaurant & Bar in Woodland Park about three weeks ago, although a few of couldn't make it. So, today we returned and Oh Boy , what a treat. Evolution is a new restaurant and boy it checks all the boxes Fantastic, creative food with exceptional service. Dina took excellent care of us. The food: great bread served with a homemade spicy Olive Oil for dipping!!! Be careful, it packs a punch. Appetizers: some of the best Calamari we've had in quite a while. Served with a Sweet and a Spicy sauce with tentacles included. Crispy and tender . Outstanding !! Spinach and Artichoke dip served in a Tortilla Bowl. Served warm with gooey cheese and Tortillas, you have to taste it to believe it. Entrees: Sliced Steak Sandwich cooked to order, Seafood salad with Clams , Shrimp, Calamari and more. One person had it served in a Tortilla Bowl. Seared Tina salad cooked perfectly. The best Chicken & Belgium Waffle with coleslaw, served as sandwich topped with Hot Honey !!!! The Aftermath: Great Cappuccinos and Apple Cheesecake and a Chocolate Heavenly Cake (Mousse)! I have 2 suggestions and that is to put a warning label on the oil that's on the table.. it is extremely hot/ spicy! It's a good thing, I dipped my bread in just a little bit. My mouth was on fire! Second, the tints on the windows are way too dark. It looks closed during the day and at night we almost didn't go in, until we saw someone walk out the door. We have eaten 3 times at Evolution. First two were one week apart because we liked it so much we brought our daughter and son in law to try it. That was in February. We enjoyed the food and desserts. This week, on Wednesday, we brought friends and were so disappointed. The pierogi appetizer was good, the beet salad was good except the spinach, which was old. Our dinners took a VERY VERY long time to come out considering there were not many people in the dining room. Our waiter did not update us through the wait. The other room had a painting party and I don't believe they had dinner in there. Our friends said their pastas were good. I had homemade ravioli and was disappointed with the tomato sauce which tasted and looked dark and old. My husband ordered the ribs and asked the waiter if the ribs were falling off the bone like last time. The waiter said yes. We were busy talking and catching up with our friends and after I had eaten some of my meal, I asked my husband for some ribs. They were almost inedible. So dried out, over cooked, actually hard and difficult to eat. My husband did not want to call attention to the ribs but after I tried to eat them, I said we had to point this out. I would think the owner would want to know. We were not looking for another portion, just acknowledgement. We told the waiter and he said he was sorry. No visit from the owner. Also, a very disturbing issue that night, the music was so loud we had trouble talking with our friends. We mentioned to our waiter and it was turned down. Then it went up very loud again. I suspect it was turned up for the ladies in the painting party. We will try this restaurant again. Hoping it was an off night and will not go on a night when an event is the same evening. read more

I've been to Evolution a few times since they opened and each time I try something new and it's been a great experience! The wings, meatballs, sliders, mushroom burger, chicken and waffles, beet salad, are all amazing... Drinks are also top-notch... I absolutely love the pear martini and the raining purple martinis!! And you absolutely must try the tiramisu, raspberry tart, and peanut butter chocolate mousse - everything is simply delicious. The restaurant decor is elegant and chic and the wait staff is friendly and fun! A definite must see! read more
