These are the best chili dogs in America, hands down! I have been eating here for over 25 years and the recipe stays the same. The service is fast and friendly and they are always willing to accommodate special requests. I ordered my French fries extra crispy and it was no problem for them at all. My family has been dining at Parkway for years! We love the friendly staff, regular specials and home cooked meals. The hot dogs are some of the best in WV! We also love the chicken and dumplings with mashed potatoes. Parkway is one of the last places to grab a curbside meal, or you can eat in their cozy dining room. Parkway Drive in is a staple of southern West Virginia. Slaw dogs? Got em. Home-made chili sauce? Got it. Liver and onions? Yep, got it, too. I have a lot of wonderful memories tied to this place. Back not too long ago, this was a curb-hop service, where ladies came out, took your order, and hooked a tray onto your car window with all the goods. Lots of memories of my Grandmother taking me here in her old dark blue Monte Carlo (The car with ash trays still built into the doors). There's a lot more items added to the menu, but my go-to's are still the slaw dogs and fries. West Virginia slaw dogs are hotdogs topped with coney sauce, minced coleslaw, and mustard. Delicious. Nobody makes them better. Nobody. My brother and I stopped here shortly after we buried my Grandmother to relive some nostalgia from our childhood and dedicate one more Parkway dog to her. Our server was attentive, and very kind. We were a little scatter brained, so I appreciated her patience. The building has changed a little, and it now has indoor seating, but it's still the same old food. By the way, the mozzarella sticks here are amazing. I don't know what else they deep fry in their grease, but the sticks came out with a hint of sweetness to them, almost like they were hand battered in donut mix. It was a delight to the taste-buds. Thank-you, Parkway for the wonderful memories. You're not fancy, gimmicky, and may not even be the best in the state, but you're still great in my books. read more

It doesn't look "aesthetically pleasing" on the outside, bu but it has an awesome retro vibe. I usually get hotdogs with chili, ketchup, and mustard and it's probably one of my favorite places to eat here in Logan. They have this banana pudding ice cream, and if you even slightly like banana flavoring this is the go to ice cream. Their service is usually fairly quick as well. Awesome place! read more

Why are there no reviews here?? Well I will be the first. Dear friends of ours (more like family) live close to The Parkway. We live in the eastern panhandle of WV where they just don't understand the appeal of the WV slaw dog. In fact when you try to order one in our area, they look at you like you're nuts and it never tastes as good as The Parkway. So of course we love the hot dogs with "everything" (chili, slaw, mustard, and onions), delicious onion rings, chicken livers platter, corn nuggets, soft serve ice cream, and cherry smash drink. Yum! Ordered the steak sandwich and it looked/tasted like A hamburger patty. Fries were received cold and received no napkins with the meal or refills. I would not recommend ordering from this establishment. read more

My wife and I were in the area for her to run the Hatfield McCoy Marathon. We thought we would try to eat at the Parkway as it was only 9 pm and their information stated they were open until 10 pm. But to our discovery, their door was locked right at 9 pm. Their loss as we went to Giovanni's Logan and had a great meal. read more

Reading the reviews I was all set for a good chili dog. I also read there was curb service, but nobody came out so we went in. Instead of a great chili dog, I got a very skinny hot dog that seemed to be missing chili. It looked like someone had scraped off the chili and had left one teaspoon of it. The onion rings were homemade but cold. The slaw was fresh but...different --never had slaw like that but it was the best part of my meal. My family's dogs were just plain. Fries were "ok" they said. Restaurant was old and dirty. The service was good and efficient. After we had been there a few minutes, the place filled up with locals. It seems to be very popular, but you could do better at a fast food chain, sad to say. read more

A Logan must!! Every one that has been to Logan wv always has to make one of their stops at the Parkway when they come back to visit!! It's just a delicious land mark in our town!
