Visited 317 Steak House and honestly, it was a really good experience. The place has a classy but relaxed vibe, which I loved. The service was warm and attentive without being over the top, they really make you feel taken care of. The food was solid. My steak was cooked just the way I asked, juicy and flavorful, and the sides were delicious (the kind you actually finish). The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I felt the timing on the courses could've been a little smoother ,not a big deal, just something they could improve. But overall, it's definitely a spot worth visiting. Good food, good ambiance, and great for a nice dinner out. I'd absolutely go back. read more

What an absolutely wonderful experience. Food was absolutely fantastic from the broccoli cheese bites, bread, salads, steaks and sides and don't forget about the homemade cheesecake! Everything was on pointe tonight! I wanted something different than fast food, and 317 always hits the spot. There were only 4 other tables occupied and it was a quiet ambient environment. Our server Grace was attentive and refilled our drinks each passing. The filet was cooked perfect, crab cake was crispy, and shrimp was juicy, and the creamy sauce was chefs kiss! Perfect combo of flavors! The fettuccine was al dente and the Alfredo was creamy and delicious also. I also had an order of cheese fries and a salad, which were great too. Their homemade ranch is my favorite. Anytime you want an upscale experience but want to stay close to home, I'd recommend 317! Or if you're out of town, and want some higher class fare other than chain fast food, give 317 a try! read more

Sadly, I do not recommend. There are so few places to get a good meal in the area, so it's sad this place is off the short list. Guest and myself both ordered medium Filet... came out extremely rare. I can eat anything from medium rare to shoe leather, but neither of us could manage to endure all 9 Oz of the uncooked, stringy piece of meat. Other items were par/subpar. Waitress was sweet and apologetic so no complaints there, but how this place stays open when the food is priced like fine dining, but delivers like an off brand Dennys is beyond me. read more

We both had ribeyes, and they were cooked and seasoned to perfection. The sides were good and priced fairly. The bartender was our server, and she was on point with our drinks and was friendly. Food was just ok. At the time we were there, they apparently did not have anyone that knows how to sear a steak, when my husband mentioned it was not cooked right, the waitress seemed to take offense and called her manager, who wasn't on site to come in to talk to us. My husband explained, for a second time that the steak was cooked wrong, the manager said she would personally make his steak, but by then everyone else at the table was finished with their meal. 317 was "generous" enough to take the steak off of the ticket, but still charged for the baked potato and salad, which my husband didn't even eat. read more

In Logan, WV for the Hatfield McCoy trails. Picked 317 based upon Yelp reviews. This place has two front entrances, one in the front one in the back. There's also two sections inside. one is the bar which allows smoking, the other is the dining area which is no smoking. This was odd for us as we are used to no smoking at all in restaurants. Service was prompt and friendly. We both had the onion soup as an appetizer. The soup was ok. There was way too much bread in it and it had a slight taste of Worcestershire which was a bit overpowering. The steaks were delicious. I had the prime rib which was cooked to perfection and my wife had the rib eye which was out of this world, tender juicy and cooked the way she liked it. We also had a side of beer battered onion rings which were crispy and cooked perfectly. Very tasty! Hard to find but worth looking for recommend. read more

It's a beautiful place don't get me wrong. Gorgeous outside and inside, but it doesn't make up for how poorly my friends and I were treated here. My friends boyfriend had called and made a reservation for us on prom night, for 5 since prom was at 7. We arrived on time and as soon as we walked in it was breathtaking. Someone came up to us and took us to a table, then we were assigned a waitress and she just even looked as though she didn't want to be there or to serve us one. A couple that had joined us for the reservation said that when they walked in the back entrance no one said a word to them, even after they had asked where to go and all. Onto the food, not only did it take around 45 minutes for our appetizers, but it took almost two hours on our food. I know that seems long, but the worst part was I watch groups of 4+ people be seated, feed, and leave before I touched my food. When my friends needed to use the restroom and they attempted asking workers they were blatantly ignored. I would never return again, especially when I could just take the 45 minute venture to Longhorn in Charleston. I don't believe I would even recommend this place to someone I didn't relatively like. read more

My husband and I are in town for his work from IL. We've been here 4 days and been there twice already and plan to go one more time before we leave. The filet and the prime rib where cooked to perfection with lots of flavor and tender too. Tonight we had the rib eye sandwich and cajun chicken pasta and shared each so we could try it. Great dinner tonight at 317! We had a group of 4 and we sat in the dining room. The waitress was very nice and polite, and the service was great. We all ordered different steaks cooked different ways, and they all came out as ordered, and were all very good. We shared dessert, one cheesecake, and one silk pie. Both were exceptional. Their food here is excellent! Always! My favorite is the teriyaki salmon with fried potatoes as my side with the Greek salad. You will never be disappointed here. An old-fashioned place in the downtown area of the small town of Logan, not too far off the major highway. I had a steak (well cooked and juicy without any uneven spots) and boyfriend had smothered chicken and liked it a lot. Non-franchise dining options are sometimes hard to find in Southern West Virginia, but this was a good find. read more
