She provides care that will not be found at Sutter or Kaiser, in my humble opinion. She recommends high quality compounded products and bio identicals, among other prefessional grade supplements, which seem to be frowned upon(I think it is ignorance) in allopathic medicine, but work beautifully in my experience and that of my friends and family members who have been under her care. Without your health what do you have? It is an investment in your well being that is completely worth it to be under the care of such a competent and knowledgeable practitioner as MaryAnn. Do not wait until you are in perimenopause or menopause to see her. She sees patients of all ages, and saved my niece from issues that were completely mishandled by her PCP and OBGyn, and driving her to be sicker and sicker, such that she had a hard time functioning. Yes, it is an out of pocket cost, and you are well worth it.

Someone from their office called me back to ask me if I "wanted hormones" and then proceeded to tell me that the consultation is $490. Lab work an additional $180 (I pay $100 for a full blood panel at Quest). THEN proceeds to tell me you have to sign a $175 a month contract for "email and telephone communication" after they give you a treatment plan. The whole point of a naturopathic doctor is to identify what the root causes of your problem are and figure out a plan to fix them (change of diet, reduced inflammation, etc) so you don't spent the rest of your life in the pharmaceutical system. Every other word out of this girl's mouth were "medicine" or "prescription" or "hormones" (ie HRT). She even told me, "Well if your doctor prescribed levothyroxine, then you probably just have to keep taking it." I understand she was probably not the doctor, just some person scheduling appointments, but it gives you an idea of what this place is about. I will look elsewhere for a real naturopathic doctor!

We are talking about Florida, God's waiting room. In any event, not the case. Dr's here run the routine annuals, review your meds and really don't seem to prescribe supplements. Yes, SUPPLEMENTS! If I recall correctly, Dr. Burke would order over 90 individual blood tests each year, track your progress and help you identify how to fix your results, naturally. Functional medicine. I had never heard of it prior to Dr. Burke and, apparently, it's still unheard of in SW Florida. If you are lucky enough to get to be her patient then you can look forward to being in good hands. I may move back to our home in California permanently just to be her patient. (If I can get in.) She is a treasure.

I have two of my favorite massge therapists who do different things in terms of their expertise but it is always consistently awesome in terms of outcomes. The first massage therapists is Sara Dulany Aldrich. Here is her bio on the web page: 've studied the fine art of Ayurvedic massage, as well as Swedish and Deep tissue. I have been a professional massage therapist for 15 years. I hail from the great state of California. I have 3 beautiful children. I love the idea of helping people heal on a more physical level. I utilize all of my education to give my clients a massage that will ease their pain, improve circulation and reduce stress. The benefits are endless. I am honored to work with such an amazing group :) Sara is an incredible deep tissue therapists that will not hurt you but is very sensitive to how to work with whatever issues you are dealing with. She is my go to when it comes to my stress and sugar management because I am a Type 2 Diabetic. The second therapists is not for ther faint of heart but if you have deep chronic issues he is your man. His name is Viktor. here is his bio from the web page: I have 2 degrees in the field of massage, Russian and American, and years of massage experience. One can boast and talk about oneself often, but it's better to try my massage once, and your body will tell you everything. After all, the body doesn't lie! I will actively work through every muscle in your body and help your muscles regain elasticity, gain mobility in your joints, and relieve pain and discomfort. In addition to general massage I can also work with a separate part of your body where there is a problem to relieve you of pain or reduce pain. I enjoy using massage to help your body get rid of problems. I'm always happy when I can help your body. My last two sessions have been with Viktor and he has helped me with some chronic pain management. The entire staff here is warm and welcoming and I simply so appreciate what they do to help others. One last thought, I always like to support businesses that give back to the community. In 2020 I was the Pastor of a Church in Placerville that helped house people displaced from the Caldor Fire. The staff at this center helped at our center and they were partners in seeing families receive the help that they needed. They serve with their Head, Heart, and Hands!

When we got there, we filled out intake forms and were given warm weighted neck pillows while we waited. On the form, we were able to indicate if we had pain or an area we wanted to focus on. We could also mark areas that we didn't want touched. The waiting area is super comfortable - it's warm, smells nice, and is clean and cozy. When we started, we were taken into separate rooms. The practitioner I was with was very gentle, checked in to make sure nothing hurt, and was very thoughtful overall. This was actually my first time getting a professional massage like this and it was a wonderful first experience. I was comfortable the whole time and felt that if I needed to let the practitioner know if something didn't feel good, I could do that. At the end, the practitioner offered me some cold water which was super refreshing after the massage. Absolutely recommend coming here for any sort of pain or soreness that massage could relieve or even just a nice relaxing self-care treat.
