My stepmom booked a full body massage here for my boyfriend and I while we were visiting for the holiday weekend. When we got there, we filled out intake forms and were given warm weighted neck pillows while we waited. On the form, we were able to indicate if we had pain or an area we wanted to focus on. We could also mark areas that we didn't want touched. The waiting area is super comfortable - it's warm, smells nice, and is clean and cozy. When we started, we were taken into separate rooms. The practitioner I was with was very gentle, checked in to make sure nothing hurt, and was very thoughtful overall. This was actually my first time getting a professional massage like this and it was a wonderful first experience. I was comfortable the whole time and felt that if I needed to let the practitioner know if something didn't feel good, I could do that. At the end, the practitioner offered me some cold water which was super refreshing after the massage. Absolutely recommend coming here for any sort of pain or soreness that massage could relieve or even just a nice relaxing self-care treat. read more

I've been going to Transformational Wellness for 3-4 years now. We book massages for 4 people yearly after we make our way off the Rubicon Trail! Off-roading requires some pampering after an intense couple of days bouncing around in our Broncos ! Additionally, I book my own personal massages with Victor (sorry is my spelling of wrong). Victor is TRULY gifted and talented. He is extremely professional with draping and his actual massage. I feel safe with him as you can tell that Victor goes above and beyond to open knots and release any lymphatic fluid while giving the best possible massage. Victor is absolutely gifted with deep tissue massages, I've never asked him to reduce pressure, but he checks in often should I need him to back off a bit which I appreciate. Just say yes to this place! I've had many massages from different kinds of places, but let me tell you something, the treatment I received from Rhonda, was exceptional. She was so so so thorough, kind and attentive. I have never had a massage that felt so genuine and felt like it was filled with legitimate loving touch. BAD business Practices/ GOOD massage: After being referred here, I was excited to hopefully get some much needed body work. My experience was unfortunately not great.. I called to schedule an appointment, while doing so, I clearly expressed my needs for lymphatic drainage body work on a recent injury, which is a specialized modality of work. I was told that they have a wonderful therapist that specializes in that, and requested to see her. I showed up for my scheduled appointment, only to find out the scheduling person wrongly put me on the wrong day. " Oh, I'm sorry it looks like your scheduled tomorrow with Christian", I was told by the person at the front desk. After explaining to here that it was supposed to be with the other therapist that specializes in the specific modality. She had to call the therapist to make sure "he" can do that. After verifying that this other therapist could also do this work I was OK with that. Unfortunately, I have now had to change my schedule around for two days to accommodate their mess up. I understand that mistakes happen, and could over look this as long as the appointment went as scheduled. The therapist was great and went over my needs prior to getting on the table. However, after the massage the front end lady taking payment wanted quite a bit more money for the massage than was quoted on the phone. She tried explaining that my massage was more for the modality I requested. Which I know for a fact I had already went over while scheduling on the phone, and a second time the prior day when I showed up my my originally scheduled appointment. Why this wasn't explained prior to my appointment, in which there were two clear opportunities to do so, I don't know. Since this place only accepts cash, (which seems a little sketchy to me, and possibly tax fraud happening) I only brought enough cash for the quoted amount only and enough for a tip. After what was a great massage by the therapist, this whole experience just left a bad taste in my mouth and made me feeling very uncomfortable after my massage. I the end I believe the massage therapist was great and very professional. However, this office can definitely use better management and work on their business practices which has now cost them a customer that frequently gets body work done. read more

I've been getting massages for over 40 years and when we moved up to Placerville last Fall, I was searching for a good massage therapist and my husband found Transformational Awareness and it's one of the best I've ever experienced. After the move, my body was so in need of a really good massage and Rhonda was available and was absolutely excellent and just what I needed. I've continued to be her client. The massage prices are very reasonable. I like to try to have a monthly, hour and a half massage if possible, and plan to have an extra one a month if I can for a little extra "pampering" that my body needs, especially after a performance (I'm a musician, singer/songwriter and performer and some venues in town and in the Sacramento region. I loved my couples massage. But I didn't know until we arrived that our masseuses weren't vaccinated. We asked only because we had just had a massage in Southern California where we knew everyone was vaccinated, company policy, and still were required to wear masks. That reassured us that they took this seriously (we're triple vaccinated.) but at this place, they were completely cavalier about it. At least one masseuse was unvaccinated and didn't know how to wear a mask. When we went to pay, two people were in the pay area indoors without masks. I had a perfect massage but their attitude is not supported by science. I won't be back until they require vaccination and masks. Do your crystals all you want. read more
