Pasta Factory is my favorite Italian food outside of St. Louis. The tortellini with prosciutto and peas is the best I've ever had. Their Alfredo sauce is lighter in texture, and the flavor is delicious. It has the perfect amount of garlic and cream. I've been here 3 times now and every time it has been a wonderful experience!! Service and food are top notch. They have a nightly happy hour (the shrimp is an excellent choice, both in flavor and value) and we were lucky enough to order from that menu as well as the main menu. Hubby and I had old fashioneds and even though some might say we are picky about our cocktails, these were perfectly balanced and thoroughly enjoyed. The hubs and his kids have been wanting ro take me to Pasta Factory a while. The kids came by and brought me flowers for Valentines and asked us if we wanted to go with them to eat. A quick shower and off we go! We all had pasta, of course! They do have other items, too. The tortellini, mushroom, and garlic was delish. Needed a little more salt for me, but I'm a salty girl. The fettuccine alfredo was very good and the sauce was on the thicker side, which I like... sticks to the pasta better. My dish was the lobster ravioli in blue cheese cream sauce. Yum! No one could tell to sauce was bkue cheese, so it wasn't strong. The ravioli had no fishy taste to it. The fried mozzarella is two Triangle squares... I could have eaten 10 they were so good. This is my favorite Italian restaurant. I'm always pretty picky and here is the reason why. I like quality, Italian ambience and bread at the table with olive oil. They exceed that and more. Their dinner salad is amazing, their pastas are delicious, I have tried a few and absolutely love anything that is fettuccine Alfredo. The chicken Parmesan is also good, but I absolutely adore the chicken marsala and I like to sub the spaghetti or whatever the side is with fettuccine. They also have an amazing bread pudding for dessert! Don't forget to grab it even if you're too full, get it to go! read more

We have been wanting to try this place for months now, and finally got around to it. We came in on a weeknight for a late dinner, and we were seated right away. The service was great overall. The ambiance is like your typical not too fancy but still nice Italian place. - Eggplant Parmesan (4/5): one of my favorite Italian dishes, and this place did not disappoint. Overall, good flavor and baked fresh. There was almost too much cheese compared to eggplant, but still was delicious. Lots of sauce, which I love! - Tortellini with peas and prosciutto (4/5): also delicious, very flavorful, just a bit salty. There were lots of prosciutto and peas, which added good texture. - Raspberry cheesecake (4/5): not sure how this basic piece of cheesecake was so dang good! We simply love the pasta factory! The chicken, Parm, chicken marsala, and all their pastas are simply to die for. I really enjoy their wine menu as well. They have some great wines that pair very well with most of their entrées. It's a classic joint with a classic feel and just darn good Italian food! Definitely give them a try. read more

It was so cozy and homey inside. I loved that they offer bread and olive oil or butter. We were sat pretty fast and the menu is pretty extensive with lots of pasta options. We visited Columbia last weekend for our nephew's college scholarship award ceremony, and he chose The Pasta Factory for lunch before we headed back home. The ambiance is nothing to write home about (dated, the cloth on our booth was severely torn, etc), but I was pleasantly surprised by their food! Presentation-wise was nothing special either, but the flavors were great. With the exception of the bread, which was so pale, unappealing, and bland. Also, the olive oil for dipping tasted rancid to me. Besides that, here is what we ordered: {Appetizer #1} Grilled Portobello Mushroom - it's like a caprese salad but with mushrooms, delicious! {Appetizer #2} Breaded Artichoke Hearts - we've never seen these before and they were sooo good! {Entree #1} Straw & Hay - since that doesn't tell you much, it was spinach egg fettuccine, prosciutto ham & peas w/ alfredo sauce - SO yummy! {Entree #2} Tortellini w/ Peas & Prosciutto - my husband's choice and it was very similar to mine with the prosciutto & peas, but the meat and pork stuffing was very tasty and I loved the addition of mushrooms. I wish they would have been in my dish! {Dessert #1} Apple Crisp - my nephew's choice and it was a huge portion...two scoops of vanilla ice cream! {Dessert #2} White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake - our choice and so dreamy!!! This place is a great spot in Columbia to grab an Italian style dinner. My fiancé and I shared the fried mozzarella as an appetizer. I had the house salad and Alfredo. I was a bit disappointed in the Alfredo. The sauce wasn't very rich but was a traditional sauce with garlic. When you eat at an Italian restaurant, you judge it based on the basics. To me, sauce is the most important thing. If the sauce sucks, nothing is going to make the dish any better. I've had both the marinara and Alfredo sauce here and they are top notch. If I am scooping the last drops of sauce out of the dish with a piece of bread, it's great sauce. The Pasta Factory has GREAT sauce. I've tried several items on the menu and they are all wonderful. The crusty bread at the beginning is a nice touch also. Service is always attentive and I've never had to ask for a refill. When you judge the cleanliness of a restaurant, check out the restrooms. If they aren't keeping those clean, you can bet the rest of the place is just as bad, if not worse. TPF has some of the clearest restrooms I've been in. Do yourself a favor and try them out. I don't think you'll be disappointed. PS, the lunch prices on most menu items is a great deal. read more

Simply put, the best kept secret in Columbia! Everything is fresh and delicious. It's not just the pasta that's outstanding, If you're starving for a big juicy burger well then just order one there, you may not believe this but it's absolutely delicious too. I am typically in Columbia once a year and I have to admit I already have a few favorite places, but it wasn't until my most recent visit that I discovered The Pasta Factory. TPF is located in a small strip mall on the western side of town, right in front of the Wal-Mart off West Broadway. We arrived on a Friday evening to a slight wait, once we were seated our friendly waiter informed us of the specials. I started off with the Cheese Soup, which was very tasty, others at the table went with a salad which they were also very happy with. For my entrée I ordered the Tortellini with Peas and Prosciutto, which was great and full of flavor. Another diner went with the Tortellini Alfredo, which they were very pleased with as well. Prices here are reasonable for large portion sizes. The atmosphere is casual, so casual is key! Service here is also fast, however the food is cooked to order which was proven by one of our diners requesting a dish minus mushrooms, TPC was able to accommodate that request without any issues. Overall I was pleased with my experience at TPF and plan on making a return visit next time I am in Columbia. read more
