The good: Matt was quick to provide a quote (which was in-line with other estimates), was extremely responsive, and was able to schedule us fairly quickly. The bad: we had a very difficult time working with the individual actually installing drywall / doing repairs. He walked off the job site several times after conflicts with our painters (we were not there to mediate / observe, but have only had pleasant interactions with the painters), at moments leaving us hanging without knowing when the job would be completed and leaving us scrambling to prepare for potential project delays. He also covered up two rough-in electrical boxes, which resulted in some frantic last-minute digging to uncover before our backsplash went up. read more

Fast and dirty. Very expensive. I had some patch work done for about 6 sq feet of drywall in the corner. The finished patching was excellent. you could not tell the repair work from the rest of the wall. It was done very quickly with no cleanup. There was spackle on the base board in a few spots that was left there. There even a couple of small pieces of drywall left on the floor. The cost was about $300/hr for that work (1 person doing the work). I will look for someone else next time. read more

He came by the very same day I called and after assessing the situation, advised me how I could do it myself because it was a very minor job. Had someone contracted out from Patch Boys since they were busy. had an estimate done for a ceiling repair we had cracked and falling plaster. the whole ceiling needed to be replaced which we actually expected. I wouldn't say I'm totally happy with the job done, some nail pops and can see tape in spots coulda done some more sanding. Seems to be it was done in a hurry and in between to many jobs at once. With that said, its done and looks better than it did as a positive. read more

LAME. UNPROFESSIONAL. WASTE OF MY TIME. A two-person crew was scheduled to arrive at 8:30am. Nobody showed up and nobody called. I telephoned the contact number I had for Matt, the manager who came out and gave me the estimate. A man who identified himself as the receptionist told me Matt was very busy and couldn't take my call. This receptionist sounded remarkably like Matt himself. I got no reply to the message I left and subsequent calls went unanswered. One of the team that was supposed to work on my house came by later in the morning. Very much a gentleman, Jose was obviously embarrassed and apologized. He showed me the text he had just received from his boss within the last few minutes. My job had never been put on the calendar and "my" team was actually working elsewhere. Jose understood completely when I declined to reschedule. Don't bother calling them. They don't call back. Very discourteous. I called them 3 times. Emailed photos. Sent several text messages and no response. Surely in a 3 day period, they could find a moment to return a call even if it is to say sorry we are too busy. Very rude. Don't waste your time if that is how they operate. read more

I have some old lathe and plaster walls that had cracks. The patch boys repaired all the cracks. Some of the cracks were simple fixes, but one section where the plaster was loose required replacing a section of lathe and plaster with drywall. I'm pleased with the end result. It looks great and the cracks are gone. Everyone involved was very professional. Matt replied quickly to my initial inquiry, and within a week I had an estimate. Matt and his team were here and did an excellent job. I had holes in the wall from an electrician's work and water damage ceiling and some cracks and repair on a wall from a door install from another contractor and they made everything look great for a reasonable price and in a short period of time and left the rooms clean and spotless. I am very happy. It was hard to get a contractor to come when the job is small but they specialize in small jobs, so it was easy. I will use them again and highly recommend them.
