Tony and Teo provided me with some samples, and took out the existing glass, fabricated the door, brought it back for me to finish-even lent me the saw horses to hold the door while I stained and sealed it. They then came back and installed the door using my existing hardware as well. They did an excellent job of installing new inter-locking weather stripping. Their workmanship, their accommodating my requests and attention to detail and downright friendliness was more than I ever expected. Door Pros Garage Door Co…read more 2023 we purchased a very expensive wood garage door from Door Pros. Bobby was the salesmen in San Rafael. I should have ran once I met Bobby. The kind of guy that promises you the best in the world. Well when they delivered the door to install it the door was still wet from the stainer Door Pros had stain it. They swore it would be fine! Fast forward to 2026. I have had Door Pros out over 20 times to try and get the door properly working but every Tom, Dick, and Harry (smokers who smelled like a tobacco factory) they sent must have never been to garage door repair school. Joe the lead technician in the beginning told us the door needed to be taken off and sheetrock cut out so the door would run properly. The next Joe Schmoooo told us something different. So every guy that came out in 3 years had a different story. The last guy 2 months ago said it was installed wrong and he would have the owner call me next week but NEVER a call back. I even spoke with Josh the owner a few years ago and he said they would make it good. We finally said GOOD RIDDANCE to Door Pros. They aren't Pros at all. Just a company that gives a lot of talk and gives you no action. We called another company in SF and in once visit they told us Door Pros had installed the whole door wrong. Wrong springs, bend rails, etc. etc. The door after one visit works beautifully. So stay away from Door Pros. Listen to your gut. I wish I did as we wasted 3 years of our lives with that awful company. Too many photos to post but believe me I have them in a file of companies NOT TO USE.

Save Energy did a fantastic job replacing our 4 sets of exterior French doors from start to finish…read more We found their sales and office staff to be very professional and we appreciated that Save Energy is an established local company. I was dubious that they could replace all of the doors in one day, but in minutes their large crew, led by Miguel, had removed everything, including all the interior and exterior molding and were examining and replacing rotten wood. They started working at around 8:30 am and were done installing at 3 pm! It was incredible! The doors are beautiful and the new interior framing around them is perfect. We found that one of the doors wasn't locking properly, so John Gorman, Save Energy's President, sent out Antonio a couple days later and he adjusted the hinges in minutes. Our overall experience was completely positive. Save Energy gave us such impressive service. We could not be more pleased.

It was really great that they were one third the cost of the large company that I receive flyers in the mail regularly. Luckily called right after I sent the email, and the person on the photo acted fast and emailed the instructions right away. But since it was already the end of the day, the contract guy left so he basically didn't get paid because he had no work when he showed up. We ordered 10 windows. Six did not come with the sleeves for latches and cranks! that's 60% error rate! We emailed them then they ask to see photos. I sent photos and then they asked to know specifically which windows. (Why do they need descriptions if I sent photos already. Don't they still have my order numbers on file?) They then asked for us to pay for these missing items. We paid for these windows, the whole thing. It is their error not include the latches and cranks and as such we couldn't open the windows for a month after moving in. Now they say they will let the warrantee department resolve this issue, implying that it is still not their fault they didn't ship these in the first place. Now I have to wait to see if anyone will actually give us the parts and pass the ball around the court. We have spent a load of money for these items! They need to let us feel they deserve this. Home remodeling really sucks the souls out of people. Don't do it if your house isn't falling apart.
