I have been a client/student of Roberts for many years now, and he has played an integral and…read moremassive part in my mental growth. From helping heal phobias, past traumas, rebuild my brain function after injury, or learning new skills to have in my toolbox for the future; he has taught me so much and I instantly makes you feel safe and heard. I highly highly recommend his sessions and he has a wide range of knowledge which can benefit any age group! All my friends and family know him as my mentor / coach who's changed my life and has helped make my mental game as strong as it is. He is simply the best there is !

Robert Smith changed my life…read more I ran across Robert Smith when I listened to him do mental coaching as a guest speaker at our local high school. He was speaking to the football team about techniques for improving the mental game. He was spot on and had a direct and positive impact on our team. I decided to try going to him for help with my life long "eating" disorder. I tried multiple therapists and in-network Kaiser sponsored people and it was one dismal failure after another. I was not hopeful that anyone could give me the tools needed to aid me in the battle I had with myself for control. He gave me an amazing tool set and it was simple! It is also incredibly effective at helping me stay on top of my behaviors. It is no lie when I tell you that he changed my life. He is thoughtful, calm, and speaks clearly. His office is clean and light, and conducive to you absorbing the information he is giving. His process requires some interaction from both of you but if you continue to use the best practices he recommends and teaches you, you will be better in 3 or 4 sessions. I absolutely and whole-heartedly recommend Becoming Whole Therapy. Especially if you have tried traditional interventions, either medical or pharmacological.

Nate, was his RN and we couldn't be more pleased with his care. Nate was on top of all of my husband's medication schedule. Some of the nurses in the other departments were terrible on keeping track. Not Nate! We were so pleased with our stay that we were quite sad to leave! Alona, Rachel, and Bree were all so helpful and giving us extra care and attention. We can't express how grateful we are to all the staff and doctors here for their attention! It was bittersweet leaving because we got a hug from everyone.

My ex-husband was diagnosed with Gliobastoma multiforme about three weeks ago…read more. After having his tumor removed, the staff at Sutter Medical decided that the next step would be acute rehab. Sutter Rehab Institute came down to evaluate him and said that he would make a great candidate.. Patients have to be capable of enduring the intense rehab for three hours a days. Yes, he did somewhat improve. Why two stars? Asked several times for his meals to be non vegetarian (and his entire time) prior to two days before discharging.. they finally got it right. Communication with the Case Manager was totally non existent. He was discharged yesterday, but we never had any information on the discharge instructions.. We were given a sheet of skilled nursing facilities (that accepted his insurance) on Tuesday and he was being discharged on Friday??.. Totally stressed and frustrated.. Luckily I found a place for him (which doesn't take his insurance).. but we feel very comfortable with our decision. Please learn from others and train the case managers to have open lines of communication... It's hard enough dealing with this diagnosis, and much more to deal with everything else...

My phone calls to Pathways were met with compassion, understanding and follow-up. I showed up and I really lucked out. I learned that this was a dual-diagnosis program ... let's get to the core of my addiction. I started in detox. The team was incredible kind, supportive and genuine. From there, I moved into inpatient treatment. The structure, education, meetings, coping skills, tools, individual counseling, therapy meetings, etc ... all by design and extremely beneficial. I can honestly say that I did not meet one staff member that was not caring. That may sound a bit surreal but it's true. I received unsolicited feedback from the majority of who I encountered telling me how much they love their job and their colleagues. That speaks volumes to me ... and it should for you as well. I am showing up for myself again. I am loving myself again. I will attend alumni days, write a review and stay in recovery. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Pathways Recovery. I could not have done this without you.
