I visited their restaurant on Fountain Quay a couple of year's ago, and had a very enjoyable evening. The location is the first aspect of this restaurant that is striking. It is situated at the canal basin that marks the end of the Union Canal, which links Edinburgh to Falkirk. This area was developed relatively recently, and befits the fashionable image that people would now associate with the Fountainbridge area of Edinburgh. The building that houses the restaurant is primarily glass in construction, and this affords diners a great view of the canal basin and the moored boats. The food is particularly good. Prices are comparable to its competitors, and the quality of the food is great. I was there as part of a large group, and never at one point did I feel that anything was taking too long, or did I impatiently have to catch the eye of the waiting staff. The kitchen feels like part of the restaurant, and if you're looking hard enough, you can actually see your meal coming together. This is a great restaurant. It's a shame that it doesn't get more attention, and I would recommend it as a great meal out along the same lines as Pizza Express.

I did order a Tutti Frutti Mocktail, and it tastes freshly made and not frozen like so many places do. You can tell they want you to have a great experience. I went with the garlic and rosemary bread and I am surprised at how light it is, but the flavor definitely pops in your mouth. I've eaten half of it before the main course even arrived. I got the crab fettuccini. The service is extremely quick. My main course arrived within maybe 15 minutes of sitting down. Fresh grated Parmesan on top. The waitress recommended the risotto, and I can now see why. The pasta is the perfect temperature, coupled with the crab and Parmesan, it's the perfect blend to make your tastebuds dance. I can't stop licking my lips haha. So happy to say that I had room for dessert! The Sticky Toffee Pudding was recommended, and yet again, another perfect choice. Toffee was poured on top of the dessert, and it was hot, making the dish that much more enjoyable. Ok. I not only LOVE the food, but I finished all three dishes completely. They worked off each other very nicely and when I don't even have leftovers to take home, it is THAT good. Overall a joyful and delicious experience! If you ever take a trip or you are LOCAL to Scotland, definitely stop in here. The cheese was perfectly melted and the crust featured a similar structure to the Focaccia. What really set the pizza apart was the chili oil our waiter drizzled on top. I'm so glad I took him up on his offer because it added a pleasant spicy kick to the pizza. I was also able to sample my wife's vegan pizza. She also decided to go with the chili oil and her pizza was some of the best vegan pizza we've experienced together. It was packed with delicious vegetables and the mozzarella vegan cheese wasn't too heavily applied, nor did it give the extra gooey mouth feel that vegan cheese often has.
