But our friends here offer a nail clipping offer you a choice of using regular animal nail clippers (which can sometimes leave nails that scratch) or the use of a Dremel tool for a smooth rounded finish - OR BOTH !!! So on the date of my appointment I drove my dog 20 miles to our appointment for curb side pick up. My dog is a nervous dog who wears a muzzle to protect the nail groomer. Now let me tell you a bit about my dog. This is my first dog and shes real sweet. She doesnt bark and shes pretty mellow. Shes been to the groomers a few timws, but we just can't seem to find the right one. Shes had one bad experience before and that traumatized her. So im on a quest to find the right groomer. I believe that the right groomer will be able to calm her anad build trust. I have tried to groom her myself and shes fine with it, but she looks horrible with the haircut. my dog's first visit here, the groomer informed me that my dog was loud and very scared. I informed her that the dog had a bad experience with another groomer so she just needs to develop trust. On our second appoint , i had a family emergency so i asked a friend to drop off my dog. My friend told me that the lady, nichole was very rude, stating that i needed to take my dog to the vet for valium. She also said the lady demanded that she watch the recording as proof. Well, upon my return, i checked my dog. Pawsh did a horrible job! They didnt follow my instructions. Both times they cut her body hair way too short. Her facial and chin hair was choppy and then her tail and ears were crooked! I won't return to this place. read more

My mother said there must be a mistake because her husband always has medical care on Tuesdays and she never makes appointments on that day. She implored Nicole to at least give one of the dogs basic grooming sometime that day (there wasn't one dog in the salon at that time yet), as she had a gathering the next day. Nicole's response was, "No...Your mistake does not create an emergency on our part". Neither of us will return to Pawsh. Customer service is so important and there are many ways to handle any situation without rudeness or callousness. read more

Their shop is very clean, prices are fair and reasonable and my labradoodle always looks great, smells good and has never had cuts or razor burns on his skin. Over the years it has gotten more difficult to schedule, but I assume that that is just a sign of their success and they can only serve so many clients, so I don't understand why people would give them bad reviews just because they aren't accepting new clients. I have always found Jessica and staff to be polite and professional and I like her salon so much I drive 35 minutes each way, so that my fur baby can get well taken care of! read more

I want to start off by saying that I was referred to The Pawsh Dog by my previous groomer who stopped grooming because she was having a baby. This was with my previous dog who was a huge black lab/golden mix. He was a pretty easy dog to groom and we never had any issues. He always saw the same groomer who no longer works there anymore. Please note that this rating is NOT based off of my previous dog. Well, he has now passed away and we have another dog who is 15 months old. He's a golden retriever who is high energy as he loves people and other dogs. He has been groomed by the Pawsh dog 4-5 times now since we got him with pretty much a different groomer each time. The second time the woman said he was really high energy and it was hard to groom him because of that (we didn't walk him before to get his energy out), but she still finished him. The next time the owner groomed him (we walked him before) and she said he did really well! Today we had a different groomer that I don't think has ever groomed him before and she said she couldn't finish trimming his coat and he can't come back because he was swatting the groomers arm away with his paw every time she was trying to trim him and he bared his teeth when she was blow drying him. I told her that we haven't been able to walk him in awhile due to the high heat right now and the awful smoke so he has been a little antsy. She said she understood and she also mentioned that they have had a lot of dogs coming in with separation anxiety. I initially mentioned to her when I dropped him off since he's very treat motivated that they can give him treats, too just in case he is having trouble and needs to be distracted. I wonder if they tried that when he was "swatting her with his paw" to stop. I'm just floored by a groomer telling me that my dog can't come to them anymore due to the fact he was swatting the groomers arm down with his paw and bared his teeth (groomer said he didn't do anything after that but wag his tail once she turned off the blow dryer). She didn't mention any growling or nipping at all. I can only assume my dog took longer (he took 1 hr and 40 mins) and they have so many people calling them for appointments since not all groomers are open right now due to covid and she would rather get in 2 dogs to get more money instead of taking more time to finish my dog as he might need the groomer to go at a slower pace. This is really too bad as I really liked the Pawsh dog and now my golden retriever isn't allowed back. The groomer also mentioned that he's way too hard to groom cuz he's growing. He's literally the smallest golden I've ever owned! He's 65lbs and super short. My previous Golden was 75lbs and super tall...vet thought he was part Newfoundland. When I brought him home, he acted very scared and is now passed out on the couch. I will now be finding another groomer since my dog isn't 'allowed' here anymore. read more

I recently brought my two chihuahuas in to get groomed. They don't have long hair so it was more of a bath and spa day for my pups. I called to see if there were any openings and Jessica (the owner and groomer, I believe) was very accommodating and was able to fit me in. The location of this shop is within a plaza and can be overlooked but parking is easy to find. I was pleasantly greeted when I arrived and after dropping of my dogs, was quoted about $20-25 per dog and that I would receive a call within 2 hours to pick them up. I received a call about an hour and half later, which isn't surprising since there wasn't much grooming needed. My pups were very happy when I picked them up and looked even cuter with a bow ribbon Jessica had placed around their collars. My total cost was $20 per dog and this included the bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, and anal gland expression. Will definitely be coming back soon. read more

I took my pup, Chizuko here for her first grooming/nail trim today. I found this business on Yelp and inquired about it with my Vet and a neighbor/friend. They did a excellent job and had her done ahead of schedule. They also told me to keep an eye on her ears because they were a little dirty. I had tried an ear wash on her a few days ago, but due didn't care for liquid going into her ears. I will use makeup cotton squares or cotton balls to clean her ears next time. I don't care how many stars this business has, if I could give them less than one I would. I made an appointment three weeks to a month ago for my German Shepherd to come in for a bath. I called as I'm pulling into the lot (it's straight up 9 o'clock which is my appointment time) to say that I'm here so they wouldn't think I was not coming. When I scheduled the appointment, I was told that I had a missed appointment in December 2019, and that if I missed another one I would incur some sort of fee, which was fine, and the appointment was booked. When I called in from the lot this morning, a young lady answered the phone and told me that she didn't have an appointment for my dog and to hold. Jessica immediately came on the line, identified herself as the owner and gave me some Trump sounding speech about how as the owner she had a right to refuse service. I acknowledged that I understood that, and if refusing service was the goal then don't bother wasting my time with some old drama about missed appointments. If Jessica as the owner didn't want to service me then she should have said that when she saw me on the books and when I made the appointment. She told me that she called me the day before, and she left me a message and that she had to cancel my dog's appointment because I had two no-shows last year. Can't even get her story straight, one missed appointment, then two missed appointments. I know of one no show which is not the point here. I asked which number she called and she confirmed she called a phone number that I have not had for two years. More than that, she didn't wait to make sure that I received the message before she canceled my appointment so concerned with getting money rather than the fact that she ultimately wasted my time. Jessica was completely rude, and unprofessional. When she inherited this business from her parents they forgot to teach her how to treat customers, and they certainly forgot to get her a course in customer service. I will NEVER BREAK BREAD with OR step foot in this place again. The fact is I didn't get a message and I have nothing to gain by not telling the truth about that. Jessica has a lot to learn because if she had handled this the right way, and spoke to me the way she should have directly to tell me she was giving my appointment away, I would've said fine because the truth is, The Pawsh Dog is not the only action in town; there's a dog groomer on every corner and I will happily take my pet elsewhere.
