I can not rave enough about the Peaceful Pack. Not only are their services fantastic but I've had nothing but positive experiences with everyone from their staff that I've interacted with. In October of 2015 we adopted Fozzy, a 5 month old toy poodle. Though he was wee wee pad trained by Day 3 we weren't able to transition him to going potty outside because he would not walk. We tried just about everything but we couldn't even get him to successfully walk down a full block. I scoured the internet trying to find dog trainers near by without much luck (I either never heard back, or there were wait lists, or the prices were too outrageous). I was venting about my struggles at work one day when a coworker recommended the Peaceful Pack. Behavior Modification - When James showed up he immediately began the session based on the initial reaction and interaction with Fozzy. His approach is focused on the psychology between dog and owner. Basically it was more about training us than the dog! Not only did we get great tips for dealing with his bratty puppy behavior but he got Fozzy to walk outside!! It was a miracle! He not only walked down 1 block, he walked to the next neighborhood! James taught us the right techniques and Fozzy not only has walked every since but he loves going outside! Dog walking - Once we got Fozzy pottying outside we set up regular afternoon walks. We initially wanted a pack walk but our building wouldn't allow it so he gets an individual with the fantastic walker, Tavon. I've been home a few times and got to witness how excited Fozzy gets when Tavon arrives. We noticed a huge improvement in Fozzy's overall demeanor after only a few weeks of starting his walks. He was less timid and more social and excited to go outside. PP has also been very accommodating when we've needed additional walks or last minute changes. We had scheduled an early evening walk on Christmas Day. Unfortunately the person working the front desk at our building that day couldn't find the information in he computer and sent the walker away. 5 stars is not enough! My dog recently started showing some signs of anxiety on her walks, sometimes getting so scared that she'd escape her leash and run home.. we all know how frightening that is when you live in NYC! Thanks to James, from Peaceful Pack, our babygirl is back to her old walk loving self again!!!! He made us realize things that we were doing wrong and ways in which we were making her even more anxious. He also showed us very easy to use walking techniques and sat down with us and answered all the questions we had. Our one session was game changing and we couldn't be more grateful!!! I have had my rescue dog for a few years and this was the first time I used a boarding service for her so I could go on vacation. James has a great reputation in my apartment building. My dog Purdy stayed with him for 2 weeks and when I returned I could see she had a good time staying with him. She looked happy and healthy. James knew it was my first boarding experience and allayed any nervousness I had. He responded to my test messages while I was away with sweet photos of Purdy with the other dogs. I cannot say enough what a good experience this was for me and for Purdy. So glad that I found the Peaceful Pack and would highly recommend them for walking and boarding services. read more

I'm sad. My schnauzer "Boston" and I are heading back west to Portland. I'm happy for that. Sad that I'll need to source another group of dog lovers who hopefully, but most likely will not take care of B as well as Mark and the team at Peaceful Pack! I've been in NYC for about 3.5 years with Boston the Schnauzer and Mark and the team have been walkers, trainers, slumber party hosts, and in general, as much of a parent to the beast as I have. They make the amount of travel I do for work tolerable and possible. I owe them greatly. They are a model of a well run business. One that deals with our emotions as parents/owners which has to be a challenge though it never seemed that way. I'm the master of last minute trips and never once did I have to worry about the care of Boston. We'll miss entire team that helped care for Boston! Five Stars. We have been clients of both; The Peaceful Pack and The Canine Corner for many years and have trusted their owners, both James and Mark with our dog ever since he was a puppy, (going back almost 10 years now). For both overnight boarding and routine daycare reservations, we have always felt like our dog was in excellent hands and have never worried about his safety and / or had any concerns at all. The staff at The Canine Corner has always been exceptionally attentive and and always looks after our dog with the the utmost attention, compassion, and consideration for our needs. We appreciate how clean and efficient the team is with regards to looking after many dogs at once. That goes the same for when we reserve long term overnight boarding at either James' or Mark's home. We have complete confidence in that our dog will be in the best company, best care, and treated as if he were in our home. I have been a client of The Peaceful Pack since 2011 and I LOVE them! My dog, Dexter, tends to go crazy when anyone comes into the house that he doesn't know. Mark and James and their staff are able to walk right in with no problems!! They truly know what they are doing and are SUPER accommodating. if I am in a bind and need a nighttime walk, I know I can count on them to make it happen. I don't think there is another service out there like it!! We also had James do a behavior modification session with Dexter which really changed a lot of issues we were having in our home. James has a keen sense of assessing a situation and figuring out what will work for the dog and owners. I cannot say enough amazing things about the Peaceful Pack. We adopted a dog from Ecuador who was extremely leash reactive to other dogs. He would bark, and go into a frenzy every time he saw another dog. Being that he is a 40lb tall black dog, it was quite intimidating! I was at the end of my rope and felt completely overwhelmed with our dog. I was at the point where I felt we needed to consider giving him away because I couldn't handle him. We tried everything. After many failed attempts with walkers and trainers (I think 3 or 4 quit on us), we found the Peaceful Pack. Immediately I could tell the difference when James walked into the room and met Mickey. Immediately I felt at ease with Tomasz walking Mickey. AND - miracles of miracles - Tomasz had Mickey walking WITH OTHER DOGS. I just wanted to express our sincere gratitude for everything the Peaceful Pack has done for Mickey. We have seen ENORMOUS changes in Mickey and really could not be more pleased at the results of his daily walks with Tomasz, and the support we have been given in training Mickey. I've used Peaceful Pack for the past couple of years and am really pleased with their service. When I first signed up with them, both the owners (Mark and James) visited me at home to meet my dog (and me). My dog is a strange combination of super shy and skittish, yet will be aggressive (growling and snapping) at people he doesn't know. James gave me some great advice on how to work with my dog to correct this behavior. They are also available at the 'last minute,' are flexible and very professional. I boarded my dog with them (in a home) and when they returned him to me (yes they do pick up and return!!), my dog seemed fine, in 'mint' condition. :-) I highly recommend Peaceful Pack and will continue to entrust my dog to their care for the foreseeable future. read more

We recently moved to Cobble Hill and were looking for someone to watch our shih-tzu Charlie when we're out of town. Someone in our building recommended The Peacefuk Pack and we couldn't be happier with their services. The owner came over to personally meet Charlie. James is great and gave us some really good tips right away. We now use them all the time! Charlie stays with them overnight and fits right in there. We can't say enough positive things about The Peaceful Pack. The owners, James and Mark, met with us personally to assess our dog's walking needs. And their entire staff (from the administrative assistant to the walkers themselves) are professional and responsive. It's easy to book or cancel walks online, so we know our dog will always have her walking needs met. We also did a training session with James and it was the best decision we've made for our dog - we've seen a huge improvement in her walking skills! Miracle Workers. My rescue dog is sweet but difficult and for years wouldn't let any walkers in the house when I wasn't home. He would turn into a snarling, snapping lunatic and the result was, he just wasn't able to get walked when I wasn't home unless a friend whom he was VERY VERY used to was able to come by. I was at my wit's end and knew my dog was suffering long days alone til we moved to Carroll Gardens and met James, who honestly changed my dog's life for the better. He's going out on daily walks and even small behavioral problems that never bothered me too much are improving. These guys are amazing and give me peace of mind for the first time in years. read more
