I went to Sandra about 6 weeks ago after a very nightmare of a salon experience in another state 3 months prior. I had been giving my hair a rest before future treatments. I moved to Texas and feel fortunate enough to have found Sandra. She was honest about what she could and should not do with my hair. I felt like she listened and understood what I hoped to achieve. I left my appointment feeling beautiful and confident! She did amazing work. I went today for a 6 week root touchup and once again, she nailed it! I look even better than after the first visit! More often than not the banter revolves around lambasting of customers who are not present, topics inappropriate to young ears, or generally unprofessional concerns. Sadly, it is not just the employees who are disrespectful. Now, it may be that I have too high of expectations of a largely overpriced barbershop? ‍ I was a loyal customer for years, stepping through a number of barbers year over year. However, it has clearly gone downhill since the shift in ownership. And such loyalty is no longer deserved or appropriate. Making a reservation is very easy through their website. You can try to do a "walk-in" but during the week they are usually all booked up. Saturday is only walk-in. But again, if you just visit their website, it is very easy to schedule an appointment. I am retired military so a barber cut is my preference. I tend to keep my hair short and they will cut it however you want regardless of length. And my favorite... a haircut just isn't complete without a nice neck shave! Personally, if the place doesn't do a neck shave, I think they shouldn't be called a barbershop. They are all very nice and conversational. If you are looking for the best place to get your haircut, book an appointment with them online and you won't be sorry. If you aren't sure to pick, I have gone to all four and they are all excellent. You shouldn't have any problem getting a great and timely haircut or beard trim here. I was even pleasantly surprised as I got a haircut that I haven't before and liked how it looked and felt. While the cut was great, I was disappointed for my first barbershop straight razor clean shave. Especially for the price. Although the experience was nice, I walked away with a few tiny red bumps and quite a few hairs that were missed. For $75 pre tip for the shave and haircut combo I was kicking myself for not getting the plain haircut. The chairs seem a little outdated as well , I am fairly tall and couldn't get comfortable for the duration of my appointment. I'm disappointed with the straight razor clean shave and probably won't be getting that at any barbershop again for some time. The shop is in an adorable little rock building on Hwy. 281 on the right if you're heading toward Blanco. It's well worth the drive if you live in Marble Falls, Blanco or Drippin'.
