At +CREATE, children explore clay, textiles, mixed media, and stop-motion animation in a welcoming, professional studio environment where creativity, confidence, and imagination come first. Our philosophy is simple: Small Groups, Big Imagination. With groups limited to approximately 10 participants, every camper receives individual guidance and the opportunity to work at their own pace while developing new skills and friendships. Choose from half-day or full-day camp options, with weekly programming that allows children to focus on clay, textiles, mixed media, or a combination of creative experiences. Campers staying for the full day enjoy a fully supervised lunch hour from 12:00–1:00 PM at our Cotton Factory studio. New for this season, we’re excited to expand our textile programming alongside our popular clay and mixed media studios. Youth ages 12 and up can also explore wheel throwing in our ceramic studio. Families receive 15% off additional registrations, whether enrolling siblings or booking multiple weeks of camp. Located in Hamilton’s historic Cotton Factory, +CREATE offers a supportive, inspiring, and affordable arts experience where children are encouraged to experiment, create, and discover. We look forward to welcoming your family this summer!

We later learned the AC had reportedly been out of service for about two weeks, yet no one contacted us in advance to let us know or offer the option to reschedule. Had we known, we never would have brought a group of children into those conditions. An Orange Heat Alert was in effect, and both children and adults became overheated. Some showed signs of heat exhaustion, and the kids were struggling to participate. Instead of enjoying their birthday, they left sweaty and disappointed. To make matters worse, the staff member assigned to our party was called away to a lengthy staff meeting while we were the only party there. We struggled to get water refills when they were most needed. Mara was helpful whenever she was available, but overall the staff seemed unprepared, and no manager came to check on our group or address the situation. What was most disappointing wasn't just the broken AC--it was how the situation was handled. There was no advance warning, no apology from the GM, no effort to mitigate the conditions with fans, complimentary cold drinks, arcade passes, or any other accommodation. Customer safety and satisfaction should have been the priority. We paid a hefty price for a memorable birthday celebration and instead experienced an unsafe and deeply disappointing afternoon. I hope management takes responsibility for how this was handled so other families don't have the same experience.

The place was so spacious and the color scheme was beautiful. This is definitely for all ages. They did have some food which was candy and nuggets and pizza that were pre cut and sectioned. I don't think I would eat there but it is in a plaza with multiple restaurants. We didn't have any problems finding a place to jump or enjoying the various activities. ‍‍ I'm definitely coming back here again! Overall, it is a great place, and I would go again.

The fees are a little bit less than at other gyms and I think this is due to the size of it. There are a decent number of top rope and lead climbing routes but only a few auto belays. The bouldering area was very squished due to a wall that separates everything else from it. It just felt like it was hard to walk without tripping over people essentially. They had a lot of projects up that were ungraded on one side of the wall. This was kind of interesting because it kind let you forget about any sort of level restrictions. Some of the grading they did have was interesting - they had had a "V minus"...as in less than 0. I'm not sure how one determines something is easier than a 0. As for some housekeeping, the front has a lot of coat hangers and a bench area for you to put on your shoes. There is a sink in this area too for quick handwashing. There are lockers up a set of stairs. They don't do any walk-in sort of belay training - check for special dates. They had a board up where you could contact other members for a belay partner which was pretty cool. All the staff were friendly too. Seems like a nice gym to be a part of!
