After suffering from a persistent hamstring…read moreinjury, and general imbalance from a car accident, I was introduced to Bart, the primary physical therapist at Las Manos PT. I was initially skeptical, since I had gone to 2 physical therapists prior. With the others, I received general physical therapy sessions that did little for the pain and absolutely nothing to help restore my mobility. Needless to say, I was losing hope. Bart identified the root cause of my hamstring injury, and tailored a physical therapy program to build strength and balance. After several months of therapy, the hamstring pain vanished and I was able to resume my normal workout routine - running. What sets Bart apart from other physical therapists is his expertise, creativity in developing customized therapy plans, and genuine care about his patients wellbeing. If you find yourself in need of a solution for pain management, strength, or balance, you will be in good hands at Las Manos Physical Therapy.

If you're in pain, I would recommend you visit Bart.

To a point where it would keep me up at night. No relief no matter what I did. I had two sessions and it made a world of difference. I'm continuing treatment because I don't want to lose the momentum and opportunity to heal but I'm so grateful for the difference she has made in the quality of life already that I had to write a review. I initially went to her for a myofascial message, but soon after she suggested I would benefit more from craniosacral therapy. I wish I could describe how such a light touch therapy works so well, but I cannot. All I can say is that, in Mel's hands, craniosacral therapy has given me pain reduction, nervous system calming, and overall physical and mental relief, in a way no other physical or mental therapy has ever given me. And, I have done years of physical therapy, acupuncture, meditation, mental therapy, regular message, etc. She's so intuitive that sometimes she narrows into working on problem areas I didn't even know were spasmed or clogged until she releases them. I leave feeling like I've been in a meditative state, but better. The calmness and physical relaxation last longer with each session. What started as a few hours of relief, has extended to days, and sometimes weeks. She helped me learn how to unconsciously relax my own system, and reduce the muscle spasms, brain fog, anxiety and other issues that come with it. With her help, I'm managing several physical chronic conditions that literally had disabled me for over a decade before I found her. She's helped me both through crises, and simply to maintain equilibrium in my system. In addition, she's such a kind and smart person. I cannot recommend Mel's services highly enough.

From the very first session, they were incredibly attentive, thoughtful, and genuinely invested in helping me feel better. They took the time to really understand what was going on with my body and built a plan that felt tailored, intentional, and effective. And the results speak for themselves. I came in feeling stiff, limited, and honestly a little broken... and somehow they worked magic. I feel stronger, more mobile, and more in tune with my body than I have in a long time. It genuinely feels like they took me from Pinocchio to a real boy. Beyond that, the energy they bring is amazing: encouraging, positive, and super professional while still making every session enjoyable. You can tell they really care about what they do and the people they're helping. If you're even thinking about physical therapy, stop searching and just book with them. Absolute game changers.

Dr Ryan was experienced in treating these issues and over a short period of time under his care, I was pain free and back to normal. On my first session, he asked many questions about my sciatica. The most impressive thing he asked was what type of activities that I'd like to get back to doing if I didn't have sciatica. For me I wanted my short term goals to being able to do yard work, to be able to carry my dog into the car so I could drive her to a park for our daily walks and to be able in 3 months to dance with my grandkids at a annual community festival. With my short term goals understood, Dr Ryan made sure his exercises were geared to allow me to achieve my short term goals! At each session, he gave me massages that helped relieve my stiffness and his stretching and strength exercises during my hour session helped me feel better each day. Then I progressed to my more strenuous exercises. At the beginning of each session, Dr Ryan greeted me with a smile and asked questions about my current condition. When I did have pain on days prior, Dr Ryan immediately came up with a game plan for my session but also explained to me why I was having my symptoms. It was nice to know that he was a good listener and cared about making me physically better. I would highly recommend Dr Ryan Clarke to anyone seeking a diligent, caring and problem solving DPT!

What can I say that hasn't already been said about Dr. Loc?…read more In one sentence... He is a living healer. Yes, he's far and yes he's expensive but in ONE visit he fixed my shoulder pain. In the second visit he freed up my ribs from tightness caused by double mastectomy scar tissue. I couldn't breathe properly for years. Two visits. Yes I did weekly physical therapy, weekly massages, acupuncture, Rolfing, sauna, cold plunge, PEMF mat, hyperbaric oxygen, I honestly could keep going but you get the point. I never find myself writing reviews for anything, but I think I owe it to anyone looking to get out…read moreof pain, perform better in their sport, or just recover from an injury or surgery to share the experience that I, and four others, had after seeing Dr. Locatelli Rao in Pasadena. TLDR: He has been able to help each of us after we all were separately convinced that we had seen "all of the best" PTs/therapists/healers in California, Minnesota and Vancouver. I found him while I was training for an Ironman a couple of years ago. I had experienced a number of injuries while training that were starting to slow me down. Not only did those injuries resolve, but in later appointments with him I was able to fix my chronic shoulder/neck and low back pain that I had been living with for the last 15 years after injuries/surgeries from playing high school football and baseball. I can't put a price on what this has done for my quality of life as someone who values taking care of my health and fitness. Since then I have sent my parents, girlfriend and one of my friends to him and we have all had the same experience. Parents: Dad (ankle) Mom (meniscus) - - both of them are now pain free after they had been living in pain for the past two decades after each of their injuries. One of my best friends experienced a near-death skydiving accident. Broke 4 cervical vertebrae and tore his acetabular labrum (hip labrum) and had seen 12+ specialists to try to get out of pain and regain his mobility he had lost after being in a neck brace for 4 months. He was told that all of those specialists were the best in their fields/techniques but he only saw either marginal improvement (if any) or temporary improvement/relieve with them. After one appointment with Dr. Loc he regained most of the functionality of his left hip and is excited to go back and address his neck pain with Dr. Loc. For the first time in half a decade he is feeling confident that there is actually a path out of pain for him. My girlfriend had low back pain throughout her life as long as she can remember. After a single appointment with Dr. Loc she has not experienced anywhere near the intensity/frequency of pain that she was experiencing prior. Even a day of sitting too long at her desk chair would have her at 6/10 pain and now the worst she experiences is a 1.5-2/10 after heavy lifting/long hikes. (follow him on Instagram and you'll see dozens of case studies and other examples of this happening for other people as well) Put simply: We all call him a wizard and he is the now the first person we are all recommending other people go and see when they're dealing with any sort of pain. It's a long drive for me to go and see him, but I'd make the trip if it were 10x longer.

Running (one of my favorite forms of exercise) was now off the table. I needed help. I sat down with a list of Physical Therapists and started calling and when I spoke to Carolyn - she listened - she asked questions and she genuinely seemed to care. After listening to me she knew I had to get in to see Dr. Maddie and she made it happen. I booked an appointment and then received my welcome packet. It was thorough and helpful and I knew what to expect before I walked into my first appointment. Maddie listened and committed to making a plan to get me back to all of my favorite activities and then she dug in and she worked hard for me and felt invested in my recovery. I can not overstate the value of the 1:1 experience. When you're working with Dr. Maddie you have her full attention and your therapy is tailored to your needs. She answers questions and keeps you informed so that you can be partners in your recovery. She uses an app to provide your home exercise routine and she adapts as needed. Each session was a balance of PT massage(?) and physical exercises. They were varied and interesting, so I looked forward to each session as it didn't feel like a chore. In addition, there's a companion mobile app where you get daily exercises (with video demonstrations!) to do at home. You also have direct text messages with the receptionist, Carolyn, who is very responsive and such a rarity to find in healthcare. I'm so grateful to Maddie and Carolyn for getting me back to being MOBILE again! I cannot recommend them enough.
