No, I am not kidding. The place is crammed with equipment and people practically trip over each other to get to their sessions. I watched a massage happen behind a drawn curtain and the poor girl had inches of space to work. Oh, and you'd better love dogs. (which I do) but they rule the space and will take over your session wanting pets and love. Honestly, I did not mind that part but if you are not a dog person, you won't have a choice. Unprofessional as hell. However... After a few sessions to warm up around the holidays, I returned and was told to get on the stationary bike. I said no. I have arthritis in my ankle, knee and a muscle on the side of my leg that keeps me up at night. I was there to strengthen my legs, if possible. But, I was forced onto the thing anyway and encouraged to do five minutes. The pain was A LOT and my knee clicked with every rotation. I was told "But see, you can do it!" Translation: "You're not in pain, you're just fat. If you do the bike, you will lose weight." I was reinjured and didn't sleep for the following week as the pain in my legs kept me up all hours. I have not returned. Clearly, I am too fat for this practice.

As a Marine Corps veteran, most of my medical care is handled through the VA, but in this case, the podiatrist I saw could only offer custom orthotic inserts. They helped a little, but I knew I needed something more--specifically, a plan to strengthen my foot rather than just mask the symptoms with medication. Fortunately, the VA's Community Care program allows veterans to receive care outside the VA, and Dr. Gomez has been a provider in that program for years--which I'm extremely grateful for. Her clinic is nearby and convenient, and there's something genuinely comforting about the fact that it's a family-run business. Dr. Gomez's husband runs the front office, and her daughter-in-law is one of the assistant PTs. Over the years, I've seen multiple PTAs come through and be mentored by Dr. Gomez--it's clear she cares deeply about her patients and the people she brings onto her team. What I especially appreciate is that Dr. Gomez takes time to explain everything--what's going on, why we're doing a certain stretch or exercise, and what the expected outcome is. I put off going to pelvic floor physical therapy for months because I felt embarrassed and ashamed…read more I have a prolapse, and I couldn't understand why it was happening when my kids are already 17 and 20 years old. In my mind, pelvic floor therapy was something only women needed right after having babies. From the moment I met Danielle, I felt at ease. She listened without judgment, explained everything clearly, and reassured me that all of the strange, self-conscious feelings I was having were completely normal. Even after that first appointment, I felt more hopeful. I've learned so much, from proper breathing (I had no idea I wasn't breathing correctly!) to exercises and techniques that have genuinely helped. Although I ultimately needed a pessary, which was another emotional hurdle for me, Danielle helped me feel so much more comfortable and positive about the entire process. Danielle is incredibly kind, compassionate, and knowledgeable. Every time I leave an appointment, I feel happier, more confident, and more in control of what's happening with my body. She hosts free events at the Family Room along with fun events like the Vulva painting to connect women with specialists centered on supporting recovery from pregnancy and child birth. She is very passionate about supporting women and you feel it the moment you step into their office that this is a safe space for women to be open and get the support they need. Some quick tips before I get into the details: Parking - plenty in a private lot. Office staff - amazing! Mary and Davita are so sweet and they really care about each patient that comes in. Bedside manner - amazing since each Provider is trained directly by Dr. Linda who founded Feminocentric and created her 12 week care plan. Billing and insurance - most likely out of pocket. They provide super bills. Yes, they are pricey but worth it if you want a personal, progressive experience and are comfortable venturing out of your in-network plan. Here's my experience and backstory: I had so much pain after my eight week recovery from childbirth; I couldn't sit down or walk much without pain; I couldn't even lift or hold my baby for more than 10 minutes; I could barely lift the car seat or a stroller; and lastly, I felt sharp pain in my lower belly that was not getting better. My baby was only going to get heavier and I could not hold her, I was devastated. I needed to get better. My OBGYN referred me to PFT for my in network insurance. After my initial internal assessment, I was given exercises and was on my way. My visit was 30 minutes and I left in so much more pain. The exercises was not improving but worsening my condition. Worse yet, the follow up was three months away! I went to two other pelvic floor clinics and felt worse after the visits and I wasn't getting better. Similarly, the next visit was weeks away. My visits were less than an hour and I felt judged, rushed and I left in more pain than when I started. I turned to Yelp and was so fortunate to find FeminoCentric. Mary answered my call and was so patient and kind; she listened to what I needed and booked four weekly visits right away for me. She also was very personable and asked how I was doing - she really cared about me as a person. This sort of personalized care has continued throughout my visits with Mary and Davita and I feel like I'm going to my parent's house every time I walk in the door or when I call the office. During my initial assessment with Dr. Linda, she did a very thorough Q&A about my pregnancy, birth and post-partum care. During the internal exam, she was very communicative about what was going to happen and asked my permission and constantly checked how I was doing. Unlike other PFT, Dr. Linda helped me to release the tension in my pelvic floor and I was able to lift my baby, the car seat and the stroller after three sessions! I was able to walk and sit comfortably. My life was changed! I really liked that they want to see you weekly and each session progresses from the previous session and you do feel the results of your hard work and their program. I learned that a lot of the lower body is all connected and starting from strengthening your pelvic floor. I decided to do the entire 12 weeks because I wanted to strengthen my core and go back to running. I was able to start jogging at 6 months after giving birth. In addition to pelvic floor, I saw Dr. Danielle who helped me with mastitis. She gave me tips on how to care for myself along with gentle exercises to keep my progression with my PFT that was not too exhausting. Lastly, I was re-injured from a car accident and as Orthopedic Physical Therapists, they are able to treat my whole body. All the doctors are really great and I love the approach of releasing tension before training the muscles. I look forward to each of my appointments which I still think is strange, and that says a lot if they create an environment that is welcoming and comfortable for a doctor's office.

I sat down with a list of Physical Therapists and started calling and when I spoke to Carolyn - she listened - she asked questions and she genuinely seemed to care. After listening to me she knew I had to get in to see Dr. Maddie and she made it happen. I booked an appointment and then received my welcome packet. It was thorough and helpful and I knew what to expect before I walked into my first appointment. Maddie listened and committed to making a plan to get me back to all of my favorite activities and then she dug in and she worked hard for me and felt invested in my recovery. TLDR: He has been able to help each of us after we all were separately convinced that we had seen "all of the best" PTs/therapists/healers in California, Minnesota and Vancouver. I found him while I was training for an Ironman a couple of years ago. I had experienced a number of injuries while training that were starting to slow me down. Not only did those injuries resolve, but in later appointments with him I was able to fix my chronic shoulder/neck and low back pain that I had been living with for the last 15 years after injuries/surgeries from playing high school football and baseball. I can't put a price on what this has done for my quality of life as someone who values taking care of my health and fitness. Since then I have sent my parents, girlfriend and one of my friends to him and we have all had the same experience. Parents: Dad (ankle) Mom (meniscus) - - both of them are now pain free after they had been living in pain for the past two decades after each of their injuries. One of my best friends experienced a near-death skydiving accident. Broke 4 cervical vertebrae and tore his acetabular labrum (hip labrum) and had seen 12+ specialists to try to get out of pain and regain his mobility he had lost after being in a neck brace for 4 months. He was told that all of those specialists were the best in their fields/techniques but he only saw either marginal improvement (if any) or temporary improvement/relieve with them. After one appointment with Dr. Loc he regained most of the functionality of his left hip and is excited to go back and address his neck pain with Dr. Loc. For the first time in half a decade he is feeling confident that there is actually a path out of pain for him. My girlfriend had low back pain throughout her life as long as she can remember. After a single appointment with Dr. Loc she has not experienced anywhere near the intensity/frequency of pain that she was experiencing prior. Even a day of sitting too long at her desk chair would have her at 6/10 pain and now the worst she experiences is a 1.5-2/10 after heavy lifting/long hikes. (follow him on Instagram and you'll see dozens of case studies and other examples of this happening for other people as well) Put simply: We all call him a wizard and he is the now the first person we are all recommending other people go and see when they're dealing with any sort of pain. Vincent PT was the only place that would squeeze me in on short notice. I am very thankful they took me in as a new walk-in patient and the short story is that the treatment worked - the results were immediate and lasting. 2. Teresa at the front desk was super nice when I called and when I arrived in person. She was very patient, knew what treatment I needed based on my condition, was the one who squeezed me in to the busy schedule, and was very pleasant getting my information (as a new patient) and then the next day when I called back to update my status. Great customer service! 3. Michael is a great physical therapist. Extremely knowledgeable and I felt like he understood my condition and how to treat it. He was also very patient in explaining everything to me and doing the treatment - making sure I was comfortable and not in pain the entire time. I didn't feel rushed (as I do at other places), and he does everything himself (vs other places where you start with the experienced person but then they pass you to a new person who doesn't seem to know anything). Even though I was a brand new patient, he took very good care of me and I felt like a VIP. Parking and access are easy. It's faster to enter on Foothill into the surface parking lot, and then enter from the outside (not through the main lobby). I had been going to another place for PT for several years (for a different issue), but now I'm considering coming here instead due to the better customer service, attention, and care.
