Had a wonderful meal at The Peppermill on the night after they opened. Lentil soup, just what I needed. It was the conversation with the couple who've just opened these doors that really sold me: most of their produce is locally sourced, they have built their own smoker, so prepare smoked meats and salmon, and the truffle served with my bill was also home made! These guys have everything sorted for a sustainable (both for the planet and your wallet) night out. Oh, and they do breakfast and lunch as well. Definitely worth a visit if your passing through town, or a regular spot for the locals - catering for hearty, meaty meals (saw a wonderful steak presented to the table next to mine), as well as gluten/dairy free.
