The beds were my favorite as the sheets are very comfy. The view is stellar over looking the marina with boats docked. I enjoyed sitting on the balcony and watching the sunset. I also think the highlight of this hotel is the service. Our rooms were cleaned every day, even when we were in our rooms late afternoon and needed the room cleaned later on in the day without having to ask to come back later for cleaning. Also, the pools, hot tub, and lazy river are so fun and beautifully kept. There is also an adult only section of the pool with a lap pool , regular pool, and hot tub which was nice. However, the club where the pools are are a little far and the hotel staff transport you to and from the pools back to the hotel. Some times it takes five minutes but when they're busy you might wait 10-20 minutes for a shuttle which can sometimes be hard to wait with small children. Also, if you want a shuttle to the beach it's great because they give you towels, umbrellas, and chairs. The downside is we had to wait almost 30 minutes for the shuttle back to the hotel. The same gentlemen that valet the cars are the ones that shuttle guests around. When they're busy valeting, shuttle services get backed up. I do think they should have more shuttles, but other than that it was a wonderful experience. Lastly, Larry was one of the best shuttle staff. He was personable, helpful, and always had a smile. Overall, we enjoyed our time here.

The rooms are spacious and the air conditioning works like a champ (not my experience at every hotel in Southwest Florida). My king room had a comfy chair, desk, kitchenette with dinette, and bathroom with plenty of counter space for all my toiletries. The overall feel of the hotel had much more character than similarly priced chain hotels. The service was wonderful for the majority of my stay. On my final morning, they wouldn't let my delivery driver up with my food (they called my room but my phone wasn't working right--and I didn't expect that since every other morning they had let up my delivery with no call or fuss). When I called down to see if someone from the hotel could deliver it as I wasn't yet dressed, they said no they didn't have the staff (fair). But, beyond that inconvenient blip--the rest of the trip was lovely. Get to it!

My wife and I don't smoke and do not like to be around smoke. This is a smoke free facility and that was great. There has been guest coming and going during the week. While sitting out back on the deck we have maybe at times shared it with another couple but basically felt has if we had the place to ourselves. There are couple staff members that will be here in the mornings if you need something. They have taken care of us very well. They are extremely friendly. There are couple kayaks, paddle boards and bicycles if you so choose. My wife and I did take the bicycles out one day and really enjoyed those. She and I have really enjoyed the smallness of the place and sitting on the deck. There is a pool but it's above the ground type pool that is hard to get in and out of because there is a step missing but we manage to utilize it to cool off while laying out on the deck. A little more age on us and we could not have gotten in or out of the pool. There's plenty of laying out chairs and tables and chairs to enjoy the deck, watch the boats come by, fish constantly jumping, some dolphins also came by. We have loved the back deck on the bay. The complaints I would have with our room is the tub is very tall jacuzzi type tub and very hard and slick for 63 yr olds to get in and out of to shower. I did see that the smaller rooms had walk in and out showers and that is what this room needs if my wife and I are to stay here as we get older. Our door to go out on our deck was hard to open and close. Other than tub and the pool the place has been great. I can't emphasize enough how friendly and kind the staff has been here. We have really enjoyed our stay here. Very safe area to get out and walk. There are around 6 extremely good restaurants within a mile of the place. My wife and I would walk to them because we like walking and they have good sidewalks and the area is safe. There is a restaurant right next door called The Fish House which we frequented a lot. Very convenient. Would we stay here again? Absolutely. Great price, kind people, charming, clean, safe good WiFi and I could go on and on. I will say the room is very updated and nice but there are some areas outside that need some attention and loving care. I will say they have had two storms back to back this year so that could be some of it. Check this place out. Lissy is here on the weekends and she took great care of us. Then when my family arrived instead of being in the larger accommodation that I had booked, we were put in a beach cabin with -only one bedroom- (for 4 adults!). Please explain how we could end up being charged even more. And none of this even accounts for the fact that when I arrived, not only was there no key waiting for me, they didn't even realize I was arriving though I had communicated with them five days before -and- during working hours --on the day of my arrival. I was incredibly kind about all of this. (I even notified them that your washing machine was broken and helped move the waterlogged things to the machine that was working.) And what did I get? An -additional- charge despite my cockroach housemates (that I sent them photos of and to their credit, for which they brought in an exterminator the following day to deal with) and the weary old old mattress with two body sags on either side for my first two nights stay. The space with the broken window slats that passerbys can see right in at night. They made none of this right.

On the second day, we were informed that the elevator was broken and they didn't know when it would be fixed, which is an ADA violation. Then they told us it was fixed and safe to use, only to then reveal (after we and others had been using it) that it wasn't actually fixed and could "stop at any time". Our rooms were on the third floor and they didn't not offer us a room on the first floor until we brought up the fact that it is incredibly dangerous for me to be using stairs (and also an ADA violation), and when they did, it was only for me so I was separated from my family which is dangerous if I fell. My family had to help me down 3 flights of stairs, which was incredibly stressful. We received no empathy from staff. It is illegal to not provide safe exit routes for ALL tenants. The fact that we had to tell them that in order for them to begrudgingly offer us a room on the first floor is ridiculous and disappointing. The incompetent support team was very dismissive and disrespectful to my granddaughter. They even suggested that she sign a waiver saying that SHE would be personally responsible if anyone was trapped or injured in the elevator. That would not hold up in any court and is an absolutely despicable thing to suggest. They acted like I was an inconvenience. It put a huge damper on what should have been a lovely family vacation. Aside from the very illegal waiver they asked us to sign, undignified disrespect and general incompetence (their customer service is outsourced and does not communicate with hotel staff), they locked us out of our rooms before check-out time and didn't offer any kind of compensation for their carelessness. They also gave us a whole list of chores to complete before leaving which wasn't explained to us upon arrival. Their site should be more transparent about them expecting tenants to perform their own housekeeping. The condos are fully furnished and equipped with all your needs. They even had beach chairs, beach towels and coolers available. The bathrooms were a bit grungy and outdated. But overall the condos are kept pretty clean. We had unit 3D3 and it was super spacious. Parking was right out front. There are several local markets in the area to stock up on food,albeit a bit pricey. I recommend you stop at publix before entering island. If ever in Sanibel again, I will definitely book my stay here.
