This store carries pet foods I have never seen or heard of because when I buy "fancy" pet food, it's Iams or Science Diet. This store does not sell Iams or Science Diet; the brands they do carry are not sold in pet stores like PetSmart or Pet Supermarket. I bought three 5.5 oz. cans and one 13 oz. can for just under $8. This is cheaper than sharing my pole-caught canned tuna (http://www.americantuna.com) with my cats. Debbie, the store owner, is helpful and knowledgeable about the pet foods. I have one complaint: not all items have price tags, however she just moved to this new location a week ago, perhaps she hasn't gotten around to pricing everything. Went in after picking up our new puppy because our breeder recommended it for raw food. To start, the owner wasn't wearing a mask, which made me extremely uncomfortable. Although he seemed knowledgeable, I told him our plan was to feed raw and kibble due to our budget and felt shamed for it. He told me kibble (even high quality - which is what I plan to use) is total garbage. Belittling your customers is not the way to get repeat clients. Fantastic selection and knowledgeable staff. I've been going here for years and have always found everyone to be pleasant and professional. I've been to most of the stores in the area over the years and this is my favorite. The only reason they aren't my exclusive shop is they don't carry Victor. As for the negative review... Who in their right mind totes a toddler and a large dog into a store to buy food? Just because it's a pet food store doesn't mean you bring your pets. I've never brought my dogs. Why? Because I'm busy shopping for them and they don't need to be along for the ride. Personally, I think allowing your dog to urinate in someone's shop and, worse yet, on someone's food is disgusting and rude. I have been going there for a few years now, since the pet food scare. I like that they have a huge selection and that they will order anything you might need if they don't carry it. I also like that they have real customer service, not just "pick up your stuff and go to the cashier". I like to give my money to local establishments rather than a huge mega store so I will give them my business! They carry raw meat if your cat/dog is on that type of diet, also. I am so disappointed to write this review. I rarely write a negative review, especially for a local business. Every time I go in here, I am treated poorly by the woman owner who works here. She never offers to help get or carry my food (even though I am pregnant and often come in with my daughter and my dog). She never greets me with a smile or a kind word. I've gone here a dozen times, and the man owner has always been kind to me. The woman is rude to me, my husband, and our daughter. Today, I was juggling 2 bags of dog food, my 4-year-old daughter and our small dog, while pregnant, and she watched me struggle and didn't offer to help. Meanwhile, my dog sprinkled on the floor and on the edge of a bag of food because I couldn't keep him close to me with my hands so full. My dog is completely house trained but occasionally sprinkles in this store because he smells other dogs. I used to work at a holistic pet supply store, and we gladly cleaned up accidents because we understood this happens. She rudely told me I should tell her right away when this happens (which I did - is 2 minutes fast enough?) because their floor "bubbles up." She then told me that he wasn't going to be able to come in the store anymore if he does this. Wish granted! We will never be returning to this store where I never even get a thank you after I purchase 50+ dollars of food, supplies, etc. I am happy to visit other holistic pet supply stores in the area that have just as good a selection and treat me with respect, like a customer should be treated. read more

This store has a large selection of quality dog and cat foods. Many brands are available that are hard to find at other area stores. If your pet requires a speciality diet there are many options available including dry, wet and raw. The owner is knowledgeable about her product. read more

I've been debating to go in and shop at this store due to the fact that when I called to ask a couple of questions the lady (owner) on the phone seemed very rude and dry. I completely looked past the attitude on the phone and still went into the store to get more information about going raw and to buy food. Her and her husband (the owners) were friendly, more him then she was. I was very unsure how the food was going to workout with my dog who is very sensitive but they insisted on me buying the food and trying it out and if I were to have any problem at all to just return the food and I would get my money back. Well when I went back to the store a couple of days later because it DID NOT workout with my dog, they were EXTREMELY unprofessional and rude to me. The lady had the WORST attitude and Ron wouldn't even look my way when he found out that I was returning something. She asked me why I was returning it and I told her that I"m going to be makin my own raw food for my dogs now. She responded and said "well, hope you have time for that" with the biggest attitude. I should've listened to my gut by not going there. I will proudly support all of the other local natural/holistic stores around and will make sure to let everyone know about my horrible experience here. So glad I found this pet store! They have a good selection of quality products and don't carry any brands that have ever had a recall. Best of all, this store has a boutique feel with out paying the boutique prices. It's family owned and operated by a husband and wife team. They are extremely friendly and helpful. The husband even has a photography studio setup at the same location. The example portraits I viewed were awesome and I would highly recommend them if you're looking to get professional pictures of your pets. I used to shop at Pet Supermarket but their service was terrible and they couldn't keep my cats raw food in stock. Now I always have food in stock and the owners will even order something I request if they don't carry it. They also have frequent buyer programs so if you buy 10 bags of food the next is free. read more

After my wife's terrible experience, I went to this store last night to return the food we purchased, as we wanted to take our business elsewhere. I walked up to the counter and said that I would like to return some food, please. Though I was angry at the way my wife was treated earlier in the day, I had no intention of a confrontation or even mentioning the prior incident. Instead, after seeing the food I was returning, without asking why I was returning the food, the same woman owner proceeded to tell me that my wife's review was "out of line", tried to tell me all the ways her review was wrong, and threatened us with a lawsuit. This is precisely the wrong way to treat customers and the wrong way to deal with negative feedback. As a long-time pet owner, I have been to many different pet stores and have never had such a negative experience as I have here. I will be happy to take my business to a place where customers are appreciated and treated with respect. read more
