Our family absolutely loves Phoenix Ranch. We recently moved out of the area and are looking for a new school and nothing compares. The facilities (beautiful shaded playground, fun classrooms and swimming pool!), welcoming and caring staff and teachers, and enrichment programs (Spanish, physical education, music) were all such a blessing. My daughter started when she was 3.5 with Mrs. Silva and Ms. Riley. My daughter typically has a hard time with new environments but got comfortable with the school right away - she only cried at her first drop off and never again. She ended the year with so many friends and great relationship with her teachers - especially Ms. Riley. She also learned all her letters and numbers. This year, she has been in the pre-K program with Ms. Adele and Mrs. Zangri. It has been a great year so far with learning math, science and sparkle words! My son started in the infant room a year ago with Ms. Alexa and Mrs. Taiko. In the fall, he moved to the toddler room with Mrs. Claudia, Mrs. Ana and Ms. Krysten. All the teachers are so loving and I can tell how my son has bonded with them. I especially loved all the work the teachers put into the open house and other family activities like the Halloween parade, grandparents day, and holiday performance. They create a great sense of community by involving the parents in so much of what goes on at the school. I would highly highly recommend this daycare/pre-school to any family that is close enough. We commuted from Chatsworth and it was totally worth it! read more

My daughter absolutely loves the preschool here. After taking her to two others this one she has adjusted to very well. The teachers are exceptional and Vicky who runs the show is a sweetheart. You'll have to call and schedule a tour and that may not be the easiest because they are busy taking care of the kiddos which is what you want, but stay persistent and it will be worth your time. Tuition isn't cheap but just as much as the corporate daycares down the street, but so much more fulfilling. Snow day and holiday performances was amazing! The number and quality of playgrounds, music room, swimming pools, etc won't be matched anywhere around Simi. Thank you for taking great care of our little one. I called this school 5x times in within the last week or so just to ask about tuition. The Director Vicky promised me an email for tuition information and never sent it its been 4-5 business days. I called again and left voicemail and no one has called back. This is extremely unprofessional for a school to ignore voicemail and speaks volumes of their respect for others. It is the Directors Job to help the public in regards to tuition information. Plus I'm sure this is not an inexpensive school just horrible bad first experience. I've waited and given them a chance to call and they clearly just don't care. I'd hope the owners would care about how the school is operated. read more

Great staff, great school. My daughter loves everything about this school. I went to school here when it was still Pinecrest as a child, so it's kind of nostalgic for me. My only reason to drop to three stars is this is a pvt school and we pay top dollar for our children to attend Phoenix Ranch. They started out not requiring young 4 and 5 year olds wearing a mask all day in class. After the new tuition and signing up for a new year they decided to spring last min that Kindergartners 4 and 5 years old would be wearing a mask for close to 7 hours a day. Gonna watch for a few weeks to see if anything changes, but we might be forced to seek a new school unfortunately for health concerns for my child. read more

The Phoenix Ranch School offers by far the best education in the Ventura County and Los Angeles area for preschool, elementary and junior high school students. I can attest through my own personal experience that this school had helped prepare me for higher education. I had started here when I was just 2 1/2 years old, in preschool, and had attended until junior high (at the time there was no junior high). After having a public school education, I now see how important it was to have smaller classes. The teachers are more focused on the students individually and genuinely concerned about their progress. In public school, the teachers cannot afford the time to care because of how many students there are in the classroom. Especially with the budget cuts and classes being biggest then ever, things have gotten worse. Because the school is small and owned by two amazing women, Mrs. Alascano and Mrs. Brown, the learning environment really helped me excel. This school became my family. I ran for vice president, joined a soccer team, and was in a science club where I dissected an owl pellet! It was awesome. I had support from all my teachers and was unstoppable at the time. Today the school has grown so much and has more to offer then 15 years ago! After graduating, I returned back and became a camp counselor for after school and summer camp. There is now rock climbing and archerory, and they even have their own pool. Of course there is the GaGa court (kind-of like dodge ball but in an octagon shaped court). Today I am proud to say I hold a B.A. from U.C. San Diego and am now a graduate student at C.S.U.L.A. for a M.A. in Archaeology. I truly believe that this school has helped me to achieve great success in my professional and academic life. read more

This is an excellent school. Hands down the best we've been to. We're at the East campus and love it! From the amazing teachers (we've had them all in the preschool section- Mrs. Silva, Mrs. Bauman, Mrs. Zangri, Mrs. Shoffner, Mrs. Landingham, Miss Thompson and Mrs. Camogiano) to Mrs. Shaules, the Preschool director, it's been the best experience for us. It's extremely organized, the lessons are on point for their age, they go above and beyond to help their students and all of the parents. Mrs. Shaules is always very helpful, she listens to my concerns and always finds a way to address any concerns I have. It's like family here. Last week my daughter was sick with a fever, they called me so of course, I picked her up immediately. When I got there, Mrs. Landingham happened to be outside when I parked next to the classroom so she offered to watch my 10 month old so that I didn't have to get him out of the car to get my daughter. When I walked into the classroom, Mrs. Thompson was holding my daughter in her arms to comfort her while continuing to teach...It seriously blew me away on how compassionate she was! It's just amazing in every way, I could not be happier! read more

My daughter absolutely love this school, when we go out on vacation for a week, all she talks about is Phoenix Ranch. She has learned so much too, the teachers are awesome they give every child the attention needed. My daughter is on Mrs. Oken class, she talks about her with so much love. The first time I went to visit the campus on Cochran and met Mrs.De Leon I knew I wanted my kids to come to this school. The teachers are friendly, the staff and the director is amazing ! Never once have I had an issue in anyway. When I pick my kids up from school they are always so happy and tell me what an amazing day they had. I highly recommend this school to all the parents out there ! I was extremely picky when I was looking for the right school to help facilitate my children's growth and most importantly play based ! Phoenix Ranch is the best camp. You know it's a good camp when your son asks if they are going next year after a couple weeks of camp. My son would come home and just could not stop talking about what a great time he had. Any parent would expect that enthusiasm to fade as summer ended, but it didn't here! Went to this school when I was in kindergarten _-3rd grade. Now my little baby sister in law (husband's little sister) goes here and it's just as amazing as it always was.... The kids have life time friends and wonderful experiences. Best preschool and elementary school in Simi hands down....only issue is that they have no way to help your child of they have a learning disability or a hearing problem...that was when I was little... Maybe things have changed?? Anyway. The best school experience I ever had was here and summer camp. Best summer camp ever. Can't think of a better one and I went to most of Simis after school/ summer camps because my Mom was a single mom. I'm so glad my little sister in law is attending here and so so glad I went here. My kids have only been here a week and they love it! I switched them from their other preschool/daycare due to inexperienced teachers in the preschool. What a difference experience makes! My son (2 years old) was getting aggressive at his old school. After only two days, his new teacher identified the cause and I've already seen an improvement. My kids are excited about going here and my preschooler runs to the car every morning to get to school vs. crying about going, which she did before. So glad I found this place! read more

THIS SCHOOL IS NOT FAIR!!! They're over charging parents for winter break while their school is closed. Tons of outbreaks, pink eye, and the flu. They are attempting to charge the enrolled parents extra money on top of the already paid monthly account. THEY WANT CASH. They are holding the monthly account payers hostage and making them pay $60 cash to other teachers to babysit their children. This place is a joke! Don't enroll your children here!!! read more

We love Phoenix Ranch! My son attends the preschool program and he LOVES going to school. We had previous problems with his last preschool and getting him potty trained. The previous school would yell at him when he had accidents and make him feel an inch tall. When we brought him to Phoenix, we were taking a gamble because he had still been having problems. But Mrs. Shultz (the director) and Mrs. Oken (his teacher) were so kind to him and positive that his accidents miraculously stopped! He fully potty trained himself the moment he set foot at Phoenix.
