BEWARE, DO NOT GET YOUR PHONE FIXED HERE!!! I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I was referred to by a friend to get my phone fixed because he knew the owner of the shop but little did I know getting my phone fixed here would turn out worse than just a cracked screen and back. I own an iPhone X was offered the price of $320 to fix my phone. I was told my phone would take 3hrs to fix but it ended up taking 4+hrs. When I came to pick up my phone after going back and forth 2/3times because it was not initially ready it was fixed so poorly. The guy glued on my back camera crooked and did not even take the time to remove the glue from covering my lens internally until I told him about it. On top of that the lens was glued to the point where if I put my nail under it, it would've popped off and there was glue all around the rim of my lens. He told me that it's not dry because I didn't give it enough time to dry when I gave him more than 4hrs to fix my phone.... On top of all of that, the front screen quality WAS WORSE THAN MY IPHONE 5!!!!! They cheaped out and gave me a crappy screen where there was no two type touch (a feature given on the iPhone X) and the quality was so visibly terrible and not compatible to the actually phone. The guy also messed up the internal hardware of my camera where it was so glitchy and could not focus without spazzing. He had the audacity to tell me that he would fix it for me without charging me, keep in mind not once did he own up to his mistake or say sorry to doing this. He made it seem like he was doing me a favor when HE was the one who messed up. I was so upset and my friend talked to the owner of this store and he agreed to give me a refund if we drove the phone back for him to give me my old front screen back. I come to find out he didn't even give me the full half of the payment back and ended up keeping a couple of dollars extra (you really needed that extra $5 when me and my friend had to drive to and from fremont for your own employees mistakes lol....) DO NOT GO HERE, YOU WOULD HAVE BETTER LUCK FIXING YOUR PHONE AT APPLE/GETTING A NEW PHONE FOR ~200 MORE!!! UPDATE: As the owner took the time to respond to my claims, so it's only necessary that I respond back. Firstly, he mentions how he gave me an estimated time of 3hrs when he KNEW that only the back took 3hrs. Why wouldn't you initially say that to begin with if you just admitted knowing this? An estimated time is the amount of time you think it will be done by. If you had already known just the back would take 3hrs couldn't you have told me it would forsure take 4/5hrs-- also nowhere did you mention that my phone would be done "at the end of the day" of course it has to be done by the end of the day lol you guys can't close the shop and keep my phone over night lol. I also asked your employee beforehand when should I come back so please do not assume I tried to rush him. I not only came 15-30mins after his estimated time. But stood there for a bit and decided to leave for another hour because I was trying to be patient and let him take his time and it seemed like he was going to take a while--he did not once communicate to me how much longer it would take as well by the way (you wouldn't have known this because you were not present at the shop). So no I believe I didn't rush him because I also kept reassuring him to take his time because I also did not want him to mess up my phone. As for your claims defending the works of your glue, If your glue needed so much time to stabilize tell me why a whole day later the camera lens was still wobbly...? It was not the glue, but it was the thickness in how much he applied, and how sloppy it was placed together. Secondly, you mention that you have a one year warranty, that's great but shouldn't you check for basic functionalities before you hand off the finished product to customers. I do understand that mistakes happen but this was more than a mistake, I got a so call "defected" screen but I don't believe it was defected at all, this screen was obviously low quality that did not fully adapt to the iPhone X hardware and I noticed that right off the bat. Not to mention I bought a brand new screen protector to place it on the screen and it could not lay flat on the physical screen itself because the edges of the screen protector could not stick to the edges of the screen I was given (another indicator that the screen was not compatible). All in all, this review is a wake up call for you that all these mistakes that happened in my situation should not happen to any other customer. Yes you may have offered to fix your employees mistakes but at this point my trust in you guys have already been lost. It's pretty clear to me that you guys really don't know what you were doing if all these mistakes were ones I noticed right off the bat. There were physical issues that anyone could've seen and were not brought into light until I said something about it. read more

Very quick to fix my phone for a reasonable price. The repair took about 20 minutes and I like the new screen better. I bought my iPhone 5C on eBay but accidentally dropped it. The one from eBay had a repaired screen and the home button was not straight which really bothered me. The new screen is an actual apple screen and gives my screen some weight so that it isn't so light and fragile anymore. As a note once you get into the shopping center just park and walk into it. The shop is located in a mini "shopping mall" type area that you walk into, and the kiosk and literally straight ahead of the front door. read more

UPDATE TO MY ORIGINAL REVIEW: we encountered an issue with one of their workers selling products on OfferUp with their name, which led to some issues. However, after communicating with the owner, he has shown an openness to help resolve the issue and has provided actual good customer service. I have removed my original review and updated to a more positive one. However, I cannot update to a five star because of the original experience with one of the coworkers. There is no impossible job for the staff at the Phone Box. They do absolutely amazing work. I took them my phone that had been ran over by several vehicles after it had dropped from the top of my car. It was almost unrecognizable, and I knew for sure that it was beyond rapair. I decided to take it just to see if they could somehow extract the pictures that I had saved on the phone. I was surprised when they said that they could actually fix the phone. I didn't have much confidence just because the phone was in such a bad shape, but I was pleasantly surprised when they returned me my phone completely fixed and with all my data. I was so impressed, and I know for a fact that if they were able to fix my phone, they can fix any phone! Hopefully, I will be more more careful with my phone, but if I am ever in need of having a phone repaired, I know exactly where to go, The Phone Box!!! read more
