It was a pleasure to have Brandon show up in our home. He is passionate about his work, and shows up on time. We have a 90 year old Steinway piano which needed a repair of the pedal assembly in addition to a tuning. Brandon took our pedal assembly back to the workshop and showed up one week later with the repaired assembly. Last review when I said I couldn't be happier, I was wrong! Brandon has worked on my piano a couple more times now. I am blown away by how different of an instrument it is then when I bought it. He has a remarkable ability to customize every little thing and really discuss with me how I wanted the piano to behave. I prefer to play quietly and with a light touch, and he was able to regulate and voice accordingly. He's always saying things like oh well the way X brand of piano works is such and such, we can just tweak yours to work a little bit more like that. I am so compelled to write about Brandon and his world class service. Seriously. He comes in as a true professional, from being dressed in a suit to having a vast knowledge about all things piano: piano makers, composers, genres, parts, countries of origin- I mean, you name it- he knows it. He was so gentle and careful of the piano and you can immediately tell his skill by the instruments he uses and the way he uses them. I literally sat with him while he worked asking a ton of questions and he was educational, kind, informative- I mean- it was an absolute pleasure having him in our home! He is a one man show- drove all the way from San Diego to Orange County, extremely skilled in this specialized trade and his prices are extremely reasonable to the point we gave him a huge tip. Because...he should be charging more! The icing on the cake? He played at the end- since he said that it is one thing to do it technically, it is another thing to feel the piano as a player. Brandon came after his preliminary call one hr earlier than it was scheduled. I explained to him that the right pedal does not work and a piano cover hits something when opening. He fixed the piano right pedal, tightened a few screws that was a problem with the cover, and made tuning. We discussed various topics related to my piano problems as well as other piano relevant technical topics. His famous piano service is alteration of the piano sounds. I have never thought that this can be made routinely. He answered all may questions, prepared the report and made comprehensive recommendations. The next day I found that the left pedal, which was not of heavy use, also did not work. I call Brandon and arrange another appointment. He came in a couple of days and quickly fixed the problem.
