On a local beer crawl looking for some oddball bottles, I stopped in here remembering they have a pretty good selection of bottled beers. I was not disappointed. The selection of local, domestic, and foreign beers is one of the better ones in North County. Prices are pretty reasonable. Staff is very friendly. Haven't been to many other liquor stores in Poway, mainly because this one has everything I could ever want/need. Massive craft beer selection, loads of local breweries, and if you want something they don't have, they'll try getting it for you! I'm not sure if I can comment on their wine/hard liquor selection as it's not something I am typically as interested in, but these guys are great to work with, and the prices are pretty good considering the variety they stock. I recently stopped by to buy "Game of Thrones" beer by Ommegang. Everywhere I called prior to Piccadilly was SOLD OUT, fortunately this store isn't as well known and had inventory on hand! The 'Piccadilly Marketplace' name comes from when the store originally opened as a place for British groceries. I'm not sure how they moved over to sell liquor, but I'm glad they did! read more

This place is a gold mine - because not many people know about it, it has many of the rare and local beers, like the Seeet 16, Pliny the Elder, most Ballast Point, AleSmith, Stone, and The Lost Abbey (Angel's Share, Carnevale). One of the few stores open on Christmas day. This place has a large selection of local craft beers that you won't find at the normal grocery store. Dock one star for the higher-than-normal prices. Note: this is a MARKET/BOTTLE STORE type of place, not a restaurant. If you're a beer person, you owe it to yourself to go in here and check the place out. Why this place isn't better known is beyond me, but I hope putting it on Yelp will put it on the radar. Seriously, their beer selection is the best I've ever seen in San Diego County, and no matter where in the county you live it's worth your while to visit. This place has a CRAZY good beer selection- TONS to choose from. I might even venture to say the best in Poway. They have some awesome craft beers-- tons of IPA's...The guys who work here are always super friendly and patient that my kids just love to touch all the candy...The only drawback is the location. You don't expect much from the outside as it looks like another hole in the wall liquor store to the casual observer but inside you will find a treasure trove of craft beers that in my opinion trumps bevmo. The awesome selection of craft beer combined with the great customer service has made this my got for great beer. Best liquor store ever! Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They know what they are talking about and they don't try and fake it. If they don't know they don't pretend to know. But, when they know, they know. I always ask there opinion on beer and what's new. If they know they tell me, if they don't then they don't. They pride themselves on knowing what's good and will tell you if it's not. Not only do they know beer but they know wine too. The store is clean and always welcoming. The owner makes sure you feel welcome and it's certainly a family store. I can't recommend this place enough. I don't go anywhere else.
