Absolutely in LOVE! Heard about this place from friends and a coincidental drive by had me in their doors in no time! i dropped by for thee desserts (hence the name) but while in there, the lovely lady told us they make breakfast and lunch too. That sounds fantastic! I tried the coconut cream pie and the german chocolate. Both were to die for ! The coconut was creamy and refreshing. The chocolate was rich and yummy! The place is very cute. It's an old bank that turned into the pie safe. They still have the safe from back then!

I have such a soft-spot for the kindhearted business owners out there. This lady is at the top of the list. She handled our family's small invasion with such grace and charm on a very busy morning for her. I was so very excited to get to stop in during a recent trip to the area to visit with my husband's family. This small shop is even more adorable than the initial photos made it out to be. And the food? I posted no photos because it didn't last long enough for us to think about taking any. Our group just had eggs, biscuits and homemade apple butter but they were delightful. The treats we took with us were tasty as well. While sadly I didn't get to try any pie I have enough faith in the baker's skill to order one and have it sent to me in Arizona without ever having tried one before. It may be my Christmas indulgence. If you have any interest in trying this place (and you would be a fool not to), I would recommend looking them up on Facebook. The owner does a really great job of utilizing social media and because of that I was both able to find out about them extending their hours to the Saturday that I was in town and learn about a lovely fall festival that I might not have had a chance to find out about otherwise.

    Dutch apple pie :) delicious!

The best pies you will ever eat come from the Pie safe Bakery. We ordered a strawberry pie and a coconut cream pie - both were excellent!!

Live the Pie Safe. The food is reminiscent of my childhood. Shirley, the owner, is friendly. It was like sitting down with an old friend.

I usually stop in for pie and/or cookies to take home, but the chicken and dumplings are worth a try as well. Friendly and really good food.

This one popped up so I stopped in. I guess there are multiple rooms here, one part is a restaurant and then there is a bakery. I only was in the bakery. They have a lot to choose from. Some stuff is sitting on the counter in the open which was odd and at one point I thought maybe they were samples but they were full sized items so I think they were for sale. Anyway I decided to order a few items. I ordered some kind of brownie. I think it was called the all good bar. It's a brownie with walnuts in it, then a peanut butter layer on top of it and a layer of chocolate ganache on top of that. It's a buckeye in brownie form and it's amazing. It could easily go into the way too sweet territory but it doesn't. It's perfect. One or two bites satisfies a sweet tooth. So I took a few bites over 2-3 days. I wish I had more. I also ordered I think it was called a basket. It was pastry puff dough in a rectangle with cream cheese in the center and very thin slices of apple on top. I brought that home and heated it up in our airfryer for 3-4 minutes and let me tell you it was one of the best things I've eaten all year. And I've had some really delicious food this year. I wanted to cry. It was that good. Unbelievable. I wanted to scarf it down and also take my time because I didn't want to not have it. The last thing I bought was a two pack of their iced shortbread cookies. They were right by the register and maybe on sale and I figured why not. These took me back to childhood. There was a bakery near us in Ohio called 'taste and tell'. They had the best iced cookies. I'm 43 and I still think about them. That place closed probably 30 years ago? I took a bite of these cookies and time traveled to 'taste and tell'. Whatever recipe they use is the same. They are so good!! Out of the three items I bought I didn't have a favorite because everything was amazing in its own right. The brownie was rich and sweet and decadent and had crunchy and creamy and perfection. The basket was 10/10 pure heaven and the cookies were a blast from the past of one of my favorite childhood treats. I'm both sad and happy that this place is so far from me because i want to be there everyday. I will definitely be back to empty the bakery case and also to try and sandwich or soup or real food too.
