My favorite place to have a coffee with delicious breakfast or lunch!! Everyone is so nice here and the place is so cute and trendy :)

A fun find as we wander country roads in our rv. Quaint, popular small town hotspot! Enjoyed the decaf, hot chocolate, breakfast sandwich, bagel and cinnamon roll! So many choices of coffee flavors-reg & SF. Everything was delicious. Gal taking order was VERY pleasant and helpful!

This place was terrific. The owner made our drinks, they were having a kids hula challenge. Super fun spot. So kind.

Great coffee shop with very friendly owners. They have a good variety of drinks. Certainly the best coffee in town.

It also seems like a popular location to study for SIU students. Has pretty basic options along with seasonal favorites. The prices are pretty okay for around here and it's pretty good quality. Any college town needs to have a place to get coffee. It's not like there's many other good options. This is one reason why it's the best in town. Good options among the flavors. It's about $6 for a latte. The last time here I got the Black Forest Mocha. Had lots of chocolate flavor. The food options are paltry. It's about $2 for a bagel. They also have a few other things such as muffins. For this town it's not bad. It's located on East Grand Avenue at Wall Street. The main menu item is coffee, but there's bagels, plus some pastries and other things.

Come in the morning for pancakes or come later for cupcakes and pie. The menu has lots of vegan options for those avoiding butter, eggs, and that kind of stuff. Charming interior that has a coziness about it. It's just as much of a bakery as it is a cafe, with display cases full of goodies and sweets. There's a good amount of indoor dining too. A lot come in here to pick up baked items at the counter. If dining in, have a seat. The menu is actually kind of big with tons of things. It's about $7 for a large latte. Kind of pricy, as far as coffee goes but it's good though. Has some non dairy milks. It's about $11 for the Vegan Waffles. Hearty and filling. There's also other plant based offerings such as tofu bowls at lunch. Has the best baked goods around. It's closed Mondays and Tuesdays. There's lots of things for vegans and vegetarians.

Instead decided to try the Branch Cafe even though when we ate there a year ago we had a hour wait so we hadn't been back since. Ordered two breakfast meals and coffee and soup. It was around 2:40 ish when the waitress offered to get us a dessert because of our wait. Mind you we got there a few minutes after 2 because I looked at my phone right before we pulled in to park. We ate dessert and were still waiting so we asked the waitress if our order was being cooked because if not, we were going to pay for our coffees and go elsewhere. Almost a one hour wait. The whole back room was empty so it wasn't busy. So the owner proceeds to come up and started to argue about when we got there. The waitress says things like "when you go to fine dining, you expect a wait" as if we've never been in a sit down restaurant in our life. The whole experience was horrible. My food was cold. The owner and waitress were extremely rude, combative and condescending. I don't know if the waitress forget to turn our order in or what, but it was almost right at an hour wait for some soup and few breakfast items. Will NEVER be back. Do with that what you will.

The BLT (I get on croissant instead of sourdough) is really good but very overpriced. The smoothies are hit and miss. Sometimes they have a good flavor, however a lot of times taste very watered down. They got rid of 2 of my favorite items. They used to carry cinnamon rolls with a maple drizzle that were amazing. Instead they've replaced with a much larger roll but not as good. The autumn maple mix salad has been gone awhile, and while that too was overpriced, it had an amazing flavor and I've not found anywhere else that has it. I've been told that item will not be returning. The employees are always friendly.
