I'm gonna do the right thing here and say that although this is a three and a half star review with things rounding down, I'll give The Pink Fin some benefit of the doubt. I mean, growing pains are often the case with a new place and that might be what happened here when my wife and I visited The Pink Fin back in early July. You see The Pink Fin boasts a few interesting items, especially for the area and being a part of Station Yards. Poke bowls and bubble tea are two things not yet found in that area and so specializing in both creates some enticement (hence why we went). The interior of TPF is not very big, but they have a few tables, a nice clean look about them, and even a computer ordering system which was easy to use. My wife and I decided to get one poke bowl and two bubbles teas to see what the place was all about. Now here's the thing. Poke bowls are probably best/most known for having fish in them for the protein, but my wife isn't a big fan of that food realm and so we opted for chicken. Throw in a bunch of toppings (corn, scallions, crispy onions, edamame, and spicy mayo) and we had a bowl that should have held enough flavor...although it didn't. The chicken was rather dry and the pieces were definitely a little large in trying to work around those nice ingredient/topping tastes. Perhaps things would bode better with a seafood poke bowl and different ingredients? Not sure. I'm also not so sure i'd get bubble tea again from here as the staff member took quite some time to concoct our two teas to start. Watching her you could tell she was trying, but she was also a bit confused and so perhaps with time, she and other staff, will get better at mixing them together. On that evening, the tastes of my and my wife's tea were nothing special and the bubbles lacked true shape and quality like what you find at YAAAS TEA. Twas unfortunate. Overall, despite the three stars, I'm hopeful for The Pink Fin as I believe their setup and staff were formatted nicely and made us feel welcome. Perhaps chicken in a poke bowl isn't the way to go and those teas will be better next time, but time will only tell if we choose to return. Go for yourself though and give them a fair shake to see if what I experienced makes sense or maybe/probably/hopefully it was like a summer flounder and it was a fluke (bad fish joke).

I'm trying to expand my palette and eat more seafood so I decided to try a pokè bowl when I was in the area. I got the pick two protein bowl with rice, cucumbers, edamame, wonton strips with the citrus yuzu sauce and the spicy mayo. I ordered online so I'm not sure if it's an option but I would have preferred half rice and half greens in the future. My choice of proteins were salmon and tuna. I thought the bowl was very tasty and a decent portion size. The place was very clean and there was a promotion online so the price wasn't bad. I would definitely try other things next time I'm over that way.

Those are just always awesome. Topping options are limited, but rightfully so. Sauce options are a fair variety. Their utensils come in this little packet of paper with chopsticks, a fork and napkins in there. Very nicely done. The bowls are filled to the brim and pack a great amount of flavor. The location itself is small, but you really dont need much. They have online ordering which is perfect. Ordered online and food was ready before the time they said it would be (unlike other places). Two girls in the front very nice no issue. The food however had a lot of sauce but the fish tasted fresh. Could have done with less spicy mayo in my opinion. They give me whole slices of cucumbers, could have been better chopped up. Would come here again but probably build your own bowl and no bubble tea as the bubble tea had such an artificial taste. For what it is especially in Suffolk county its decent but nowhere the quality of queens or actually Hawaii. Super clean dining area and I loved how the utensils are packed (single serve and with fork and chopstick)

Everyone here is so friendly, and more than once I've found a little unexpected free surprise tucked into my order -- such a thoughtful touch. It's like a desert roll so I should have really thought about that, but I had never heard of a roll like that before so I HAD to try it. It was good, but I should have stuck with a dinner type roll. Would recommend if you had a group of people, not as a sole roll for dinner. Service: Two servers, no complaints. Haha, the first waitress gave us these little packages at the start and I was like "What is this?" I opened it and there was a warm towel inside. Nice touch. I think she thought I was a complete rookie because I have never had a sushi place offer that before! Atmosphere: Very nice inside, good for a divey bar scene or for a nice date. Nice menus and the towels were cool. Price: 30$ a person pretty standard. It's sushi, so it depends on what you get. The guy I was with got a straight sashimi plate which was a little more expensive, so it just depends on how hungry you are! Overall: Cool place, bonus for the towels, the unique rolls and the service. Not sure I will be back this way but if I am, I hope this place is still around!

Hawaiian Kitchen, based in Bethpage, absolutely knocked it out of the park! From the start, they were incredibly easy to work with and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. I had originally requested 2-liter bottles of soda, but since they didn't have them in stock, they proactively delivered individual cans instead to ensure our team had plenty of drinks. Now, for the food--it was phenomenal. Our office hasn't stopped raving about it! The Coconut Shrimp and Grilled Shrimp were huge hits, and the Angus Steak was incredibly tender. Even the Chicken Fried Rice was a standout, and all of their signature sauces were delicious. They also did a large house salad for us with the most incredible Ginger dressing. I had numerous people ask me where I found them, and I couldn't wait to order for their next small house parties or to pick up dinner on the way home. It was all so fresh and not greasy. We also ordered spring rolls that were so light and crispy, pineapple fried rice that was really delicious, and marinated chicken and steamed broccoli. If you're looking for reliable catering that people will actually get excited about, I can't recommend Hawaiian Kitchen enough. THANK YOU for making me look like a superstar! We will definitely be ordering again! PS - they are a small, family-owned business, and I love supporting businesses like that that really care. Give them a try!
