Came here for lunch. Small restaurant inside the strip mall but the menu was huge and had a good selection of options. The lunch specials was affordable and it included drink/appertizer/entree. The portion was big. The food had good flavor. The coconut chicken ramen had a nice flavor. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was as clean. We will definitely be back to try other stuff

A good start! We eagerly anticipated this opening, which seemed like half a year in the making. When we stopped in for takeout, the inside looked charming--there are a handful of tables--and the bar seats were comfy. Ultimately our pad Thai was mushy or overcooked, with not a lot of flavor, and our pineapple curry fried rice was on the bland side too. We're still hopeful that they're just working out the kinks and will check back in a few months!

The glass noodle soup is a meal in itself, and my absolute favorite menu item....Owned and operated by a woman who happens to be the chef, she will usually make an appearance (if not too busy in the kitchen) to ensure you're satisfied with every aspect of her establishment. Waitstaff are attentive, friendly and pleasant....I've been coming here for many years now, and although there are comparable Thai restaurants nearby, Thai House of Smithtown checks off all the boxes consistently (and has never let us down)....Try the shrimp panang curry with vegetables which is so delicious and scrumptious! This restaurant is tops on my culinary list! Great lunch specials including soup, spring roll or salad, and a very generous and varied entree selection . Give Thai House of Smithtown a try....I think you'll love it too!

From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with the warm aroma of authentic Thai cooking and friendly smiles that make you feel right at home. The ambiance is cozy and inviting with soft lighting, beautiful decor, and just the right level of calm energy that makes it perfect for any occasion. Whether you're here for date night, family dinner, or just craving something delicious, this place delivers every single time. The service here is absolutely outstanding. The staff is attentive, polite, and genuinely happy to make your experience great. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Our server was full of great recommendations, made sure everything came out perfectly timed, and checked in often enough to make sure we were comfortable without ever interrupting. Everything about the experience feels thoughtful and personal, like they truly care that you're enjoying every bite. Now for the food, which is the real star of the show. Every dish at Thai House bursts with flavor and freshness. The Pad Thai is hands-down one of the best I've ever had, perfectly balanced with just the right amount of sweetness and spice. The Drunken Noodles are bold and savory, the curry dishes are rich and aromatic, and the basil fried rice is absolutely addictive. You can taste how fresh the ingredients are in every bite. Even the appetizers like the crispy spring rolls and chicken satay are perfection. The spice levels are spot-on too. You can tell them exactly how spicy you want it, and they actually get it right every time. It's clear that the chefs here care about quality and consistency, and that makes a huge difference. The drinks are also worth mentioning. From Thai iced tea to their refreshing cocktails, everything complements the meal perfectly. There's something so satisfying about sipping that sweet, creamy Thai tea after a plate of perfectly spiced curry. The overall vibe of Thai House is just so relaxing and pleasant. It feels like a hidden gem tucked away in Smithtown where you can escape for an hour and just enjoy great food and great company. If you love authentic Thai food or just want to treat yourself to something truly special, Thai House in Smithtown is the place to go. You'll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit.

We went for the lunch special which had two options: $12 lunch with choice of appetizers & main or $15 lunch which is the same as the $12 option but just includes a choice of drink. We both got Vietnamese Coffee. I got the iced and she got the hot version. The iced Vietnamese coffee is already premixed, but the hot version they give a side of the condensed milk so you can add as much or little you want. I tried their spring rolls which had a nice crisp bite. It was also served with pickled daikon and carrots for a nice refresher. For the entree I got the pho bo vein which had beef meatballs as the protein. The basil, jalapeño slices, bean sprouts and lime slice are on the side, so you can add as much to your liking. The noodles were nice and bouncy. The broth was light and flavorful. We always have great service every time we go. Definitely will be back in the future.

I did not notice until I was mostly complete with my sandwich, but luckily did not bite into the pepper before noticing the fuzz growing on it. However, you can clearly see the fuzzy pepper in the picture I took before digging in. I got the lunch special, which features a drink, app, and entree. The lemonade was nice and fresh tasting, the crispy wings were fantastic, and the banh mi was actually very tasty. Not the best I've had, but it was flavorful and the pickled veggies tasted fresh. I was very disappointed to find a moldy pepper, which ultimately ruined the experience for me. Hopefully, nothing I actually ate was bad, and this pepper was the only one that went missed in a kitchen check. I hate to turn folks away from a nice local spot with good tasting food, but I will never recommend a spot with moldy food.

My last visit (Friday afternoon) I ordered a Medium Wintermelon Milk Tea (you can get it without the milk), Grilled Chicken Garlic Noodles and a Grilled Shrimp Rice Bowl. Everything was delicious and very flavorful though I felt the Garlic Noodles were a bit on the saltier side and the Wintermelon Milk Tea was a bit too sweet (and I have a sweet tooth). There were a lot of flavorful chicken pieces and the shrimp came with about 7-8 pieces, also very flavorful. They have 3 different sauces that I was given since I was eating there and just returned it to the counter once done. My favorite of the 3 was the more liquidy one though they all tasted great. The place is located in a strip mall with a lot of free parking. There's some seating inside and one small table outside. It's spacious and clean. They have great background music playing and their unisex bathroom is spacious and clean as well. The food came out in a reasonable time and the staff (I'm assuming maybe the owners) were also very pleasant.

They have happy hour from 3-7pm drinks are $7-8 and hot apps are $8 . I got a glass of wine and the Bang Bang cauliflower. I asked for the sauce on the side as sometimes it's too spicy. The cauliflower was in a tempura batter which was light and crispy and the sauce was more sweet then spicy but had a nice flavor. After my friend arrived we ordered the pork dumplings, which were tasty but nothing special. Eventually we moved to the dinning room. The menu is extensive with many hot dishes and sushi selections. There is a $29 price fixe that includes soup or salad, a small plate or dim sum, a kitchen entree and dessert with no restrictions off the full menu. Quite a bargain. We both got the wonton soup, which was ok but could have been hotter in temperature. We got the wagyu short rib potstickers and the crystal shrimp shumai, the beef were dry and benefited from the dipping sauce, the shrimp were fine. I got the Tiger prawns which was the star of the meal. Huge shrimp stacked high with a light sauce over shredded cabbage serves with either brown or white rice. I took half of them home. My friend doesn't like spicy food so asked which of the ramen dishes was not spicy. The waitress recommended the pork belly which arrived with no broth at all, after that was remedied it was still too spicy, which of course is personal but still. My friend got the fried ice cream & I got the chocolate cake with green tea ice cream, both were ok if forgettable I think if I decide to return it will be for happy hour only and I'll stick to the small plate apps and maybe take an order of the tiger prawns home.
