Beware. With ASF, their contract manager, you can't break the contract unless you die. Don't let this gym be a dark step in your weight loss journey like I did! Huh, wonder where my first review went? Guess they had it deleted. Don't worry I'll just keep writing them. I had a two-year contract with a year of personal training. They will tell you anything to get you to sign. I told them I might be moving, oh that wasn't a problem. I was super honest, told them I had high anxiety with panic attacks and depression (the cause of my obesity), oh they'd work with me. It's like a used car dealership. As each session went on, I felt like they were purposefully trying to humiliate me to get me to quit. No one would say hello or bye to me even when I looked them in the face. Negging during nutrition sessions. "No one will ever love you if you don't lose weight." Sexual harassment during personal training, i.e., trainer crossed her chest like she was offended I was checking her out when I was trying to learn a new exercise and then she laughed about it, did it on purpose. I'm straight and married! I was always the big girl in the session of three or four other healthy people. At 240 pounds they had exercises and weights that were beyond my ability as a beginner. I would try my best, and they'd get angry or condescending when I couldn't physically lift or do. They were not patient as I was trying to learn with high anxiety already. I felt like why did they work so hard to sell me a contract only to act like I was a burden or a joke? There were days I wanted to drive my car off the Zebulon Road bridge cause of their attitude. Where was the kindness of the inspirational quotes and signs they displayed? What a two-faced front. Oh and they told me they didn't know where my sign-up paperwork and file was, i.e. you're locked in this contract now, so it doesn't matter, if you don't like something quit. I felt like information about me could be floating anywhere in that gym. No professionalism. No privacy. Didn't help to update credit card info they tell you to write it on a piece of paper and just leave it on the counter. If I had it to do over, I would have gone to a doctor supervised weight loss center. I thought a gym close to my apartment for ladies would be a good place to stay motivated and make friends. Oh.how.wrong.I.was. There was one individual that gave me more attitude than others, so I tried to avoid her by going other times. I emailed Alli about it, cause she was hard to reach, but she never answered me. Delegated it all. I wasn't allowed to work with the people I preferred. I actually signed to work with Alli as my trainer, and did so because I saw she was professionally certified. But they only put me down to work out with her once, although my schedule was super flexible. I never saw any certification for the other trainers or employees. AND they always acted like it was a super surprise that I was losing weight. Made me feel like they flubbed and patted a lot of their experience with obese clients. I felt like the photos on their walls and books were just stock photos and they'd never helped anyone before like me before. It's like, what, I walked in the door and they figured I'd be fat forever and just wanted my money? Yeah. Then I started having pain in my foot. I was encouraged not to go to the doctor, to suck it up, and rub a golf ball on my foot. I was told my foot was just "tight". No, it was a nerve tumor made worse by exercise. I told the Alli, the assistant, and my other trainers that my doctor wanted me to take it easy for while. It's like they didn't hear me. Didn't make a note. They wanted me to do jumping jacks with weights while I was in pain. So I left. My doctor told me no more standing/feet exercises unless I wanted surgery that would cause my toes to be forever numb. I tried to end the contract. At first I was told by ASF that I could buy-out the rest of my membership which would have saved some money. But then they came back and said no, I'd have to be dismembered or dead. I guess if the gym had shown me any kindness as a human being or the customer service level of, oh I don't know, Dollar General, I might have tried to stay and focused on my arms. But after the attitudes and humiliations I had no confidence they'd listen to me or help me. And it was too late for my foot. Still had to have surgery. No feeling in two toes, two years later. Add $7000 to a gym membership I couldn't use. But I didn't give up. I'm 130 pounds now and still losing thanks to the support I found elsewhere. I pray they don't hurt other people. read more

And she was hard to contact, delegated everything, and changed the subject when I had concerns. I love the Pink Physique. I began as a temporary gym goer by joining their 28 Day Rocking Body Program, but I loved the atmosphere so much I joined the gym after that program was complete. I love the fact that it's a women's only gym, and everyone there is so friendly and welcoming. It is a little pricey, but it's worth it. read more

BEWARE!!!! BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In the summer of 2016 my husband was kind enough to gift me a 28-Day boot camp session. Upon completing the session Alli (the owner) asked me to join her for a consultation. We would retake measurements and discuss overall health goals. My husband accompanied me as my unofficial health coach and support system. Measurements were taken, health goals discussed, then Alli proceeded to the sell tactics which included payment options and length of programs which I kind of expected. Upon kindly denying all of the options (my husband and I had already discussed denying additional services at this time based specifically on my unpredictable work schedule and the high cost of the programs), Alli asks "well how much can you pay?" To which my husband and I then quickly discuss and hestitantly respond with a number. Alli promptly stated "I can work with that." We were pleasently surprised and grateful, but I reminded Alli of my unpredictable work schedule some months as that aspect of my life was still problematic for me. Almost just as quickly she responds "OH, THAT WON'T BE A PROBLEM...YOU CAN CANCEL AT ANY TIME AS LONG AS YOU NOTIFY ME BY THE 10TH OF THE MONTH PRIOR." With that assurance we sign the contract presented and I specifically asked "will you note our agreement?" as I realized that she'd presented us a standard year contract for signing. SHE SAID "OH YES!" with a nod but it was at that moment that the dreaded mistake was made - we believed her. I have since called and emailed the center repeatedly during the month of October requesting support from Alli as the billing company (ASF) will NOT cancel my one year contract for $140 per month. A young lady named Courtney works in the center and has responded to my request for contact from Alli (who teaching classes daily) stating "the Pink Physique does not handle billing...Alli does not handle billing...call ASF." As instructed I have called ASF multiple times and their reps always respond with "please call the Pink Physique directly as your contracts states no cancellation except for relocation or ...." (I can't remember the other stipulation). So at any rate, yes the service is good, the facility is clean, I actually like the smug atmosphere but none of that has anything to do with the fact that Alli - the owner- blatantly misrepresented the truth just to get us to sign the contract. She STILL has not employed decent courtesy to return my calls or respond to my email even though this contract was the 2nd time we'd patronized her. So much for decent values or customer service when it's needed. read more

Don't fall for their sells pitch!!! I started out doing a 28 day program that went very well. At the end of the program they offered me various price options for continuing. The cheapest option was for a year long contract which I took because they had me sold. A few months in I began having problems with my knee that would not go away. I went to the doctor who agreed that the type of workout was a horrible idea that I didn't need to put so much stress on my knee. Trying to get out of my contract has been a nightmare! Once you sign its out of their hands you then have to deal with their "billing company" who basically told me unless I move 50 miles away or become permanently disabled I am stuck in my contract. Their contract makes it near impossible to get out. They know how to sell you to the point you ignore the icky feeling in your gut and you sign the contract just to regret it later. I wish I had known before hand. Now Im stuck with an injured knee and paying a ton of money for something I can't even use. read more

I wouldn't recommend this gym to anyone. For one thing, it is VERY expensive. Some of the trainers are nice and helpful, but Alli seems very judgmental and appears like she only wants to sell you private training sessions, which are outrageous in price. Although they have expanded recently, a lot of the machines are still old. Cardio machines are very limited in quantity. You would be much better off going to other gyms read more

Very expensive, too small, limited hours on the weekend, and personal training is a joke! Personal training is only 30 mins for twice a week for 299 a month. Guess what? personal training has 2-4 people in a group. That is way too much money for a group class. Try another gym is you want to slim your body, not your wallet. read more

Awful gym! Horrible customer service. No organization to the business. The owner, Alli, will cheat you out of money. She only cares about getting your money and nothing else. DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT with them or else you will regret it. Doesn't matter if you moved out of state or are medically injured.....you will still have to pay. I would recommend any gym BUT THIS ONE! Its very expensive and way over priced. You can get better service, machine quality/quantity, and personal training at another gym for a lot lower price. This gym is all about money. I was a long term member. The owner, Alli (a very good sales person), will make you feel special and knows how to promote her facility very well. She sales well and you may end up signing the contract before you realize what happened. I would suggest that you take your time to read the contract especially the fine print and compare everything including the environment, pricing etc., before committing yourselves. Machines are very old and lack in variety. Often you will find that the machine you want to use is already occupied. Equipments are not cleaned after each training and therefore high risk of contamination. At certain times as you train there will be a class going on and the gym does not facilitate for both things simultaneously, creating a higher risk of bumping into someone and/or causing injury. Music is extremely loud!!!! I learnt the hard way, because one never goes back and refers to the contract, my training was one-on-one and after a certain time it became a group training. Since I enjoyed working with my trainer I did not pay attention to the change. I brought this to the owner's attention and obviously too late from my side, she became very defensive and had no business skill in handling the matter - portraying the attitude of "The Business owner is right and the customer is wrong".
