Our old 14 year old dog had a 8 am hair trim appointment and never got trimmed until 5pm.. Bloody cut place on her neck and lady at front desk when questioned had nothing to say!! Never Ever Again read more

It was okay.. lowkey disappointing. I dropped my dog off @845a and sticked around town since I am 45 mins away from town. I'd thought they finished grooming him already and went back @ 12p. Just to walk in and got told it'll be another 2 HOURS. Mind you, I never got a text or phone call about it. Then I told them I was going back home and will pick him up before closing. Right when I got home they text me that he is ready for pick up! They literally told me 2 hours then 45 mins later got told he was ready for pick up? Did they rush? Or was I lied to? Service was good. People were nice. Would be nice if I got a notice that'll it'll be another "2 hours".. I'm not saying I'm not gonna go back. Needs better communicating. Waste my time going back and forth. read more

I have 2 dogs, a Yorkie and a Shitzadoodle, who have been…read moreabused & traumatized by 2 groomers in California who cut them, hurt them, caged them for to long of time and who I suspect drugged them. The LA news channels exposed with hidden cameras Bad Groomers and their Practices, and what to look for if you think your pet is being abused or drugged. It's a common practice to drug dogs, so they can get more pets in to make more money. The news also showed pets being hit with brushes if the dog whined or moved. They also interviewed groomers who said, A good groomer only needs 1 to 1,1/2 hours max time to groom 1 dog. My dogs are afraid of the brush and they're afraid to go to groomers. Our Shitzadoodle panics in a cage, he will make himself bloody trying to get out of it. I take him to places that have play areas. So with this kind of past history I'm very leery of taking & leaving my dogs with new groomers. I went in unannounced to the Speckled Pup to introduce myself, check the facility out and to interview them. I meet both Sherri and Kendra. They showed me around the play and grooming area. We talked about our past bad grooming experiences in LA. They assured me that they don't drug pets and that my dogs would only be there a couple of hours for their groom. After talking to the ladies I felt comfortable enough to make an appointment for my dogs to be groomed the next day. The next day I brought the dogs in and I stayed while letting the dogs get to know Sherri & Kendra. Both dogs were done with their grooming in 3 hours. My dogs looked absolutely beautiful. No nicks or cuts visible and my dogs acted happy with their experience. Sherri and Kendra really did a wonderful job! Unfortunately the second time I brought my dogs in to be groomed was the last at Speckled Pup. I dropped both dogs off at 9am. I did not see Sherri or Kendra. The quite man who runs the front counter said they'd call me when the dogs were done and he took both dogs into the back. At 1pm I called to see if the dogs were done & ready. I was told the groomers were really busy and that they'd call me when the dogs were done. At 4:30 pm I called again and was told the dogs were almost done and that they'd call me when the dogs were ready to pick up. At 6pm I finally got the call to come pick up my dogs. When I got to there no one was in the front area. A few minutes later the man came out and looked at me, so I said I was there to pick up my dogs. He went into the back, I could hear my dogs whimpering because they heard my voice. The man brought my dogs out a few minutes later. I noticed it was super quiet there were no other dogs there, my dogs were the last dogs to be pickup. I wondered why??? I wanted to talk to Sherri or Kendra but he said they'd left. My dogs were panting with tongues hanging out and were ready to go home, so I paid and left. My husband and I noticed how tired the dogs were and they couldn't get enough water. They drank 2 whole bowls, scarfed down their dinner and went to sleep! They were exhausted! The dogs also slept a lot the next day. I don't know if they were drugged or if they were just exhausted from being caged for 9 hours. I'm angry & disappointed that both Sherri & Kendra at Speckled Pup knew right from the beginning my dogs traumatic history and that I never wanted my dogs there for more than a couple of hours. * I will never bring my dogs here again. * I can not recommend Speckled Pup. * 9 hours for 2 little dogs to get groomed is UNACCEPTABLE!!! *A good groomer should only take 2 to 3 hours to groom two dogs. 1 to 1, 1/2 hours for one dog. If a dog is there any longer than that the groomer has either over booked themselves or they've drugged the dog and are waiting for it to wake up and not show the signs of lethargy from the drugging.

We have had our Karemy Labrador for a year, and we can't recommend this breeder enough!…read more Karemy was the first breeder I have chosen to purchase from. All of my other dogs have been adopted from rescues and shelters. A couple of those rescues, though, have had health or temperament issues that were challenging. We loved those dogs fiercely, but after they passed and it was time to get a new dog, I wanted to ensure I was getting a well bred dog with a reliable temperament. Both as a family pet and for therapy dog work with seniors I work with who have Alzheimer's. I couldn't be more pleased that I chose Karemy. The Jackson's do not overbreed. They have several litters throughout the year such that it isn't a terribly long wait to get a puppy, but not too many litters that the dogs are overbred or the puppies are not well cared for. The puppies are socialized with intentional practices as soon as they are able with kids, other animals, and even bottle feeding to solidify the bond with humans. And because Kathy has been breeding her line for over 20 years, the genetics of the dogs is fantastic. Between that solid foundation of care and socialization, combined with great genetics, you can be assured you are getting a great dog! Our vet says that our yellow Lab, Cosmo, is incredibly well bred. He has good hips and joints, is balanced and is a good example of the breed standard, and doesn't have any obvious health issues. He is also a great size, and as long as we make smart choices about nutrition and exercise, he shouldn't get overly overweight like some Labradors. If you work with this breeder, you will get great communication, a puppy that is well bred and well loved, and you can know that their program is ethical. Thank you for our friend, Cosmo, Karemy! He is the best!

We traveled to pick her up, yet nothing was said about her congenital overbite. It was not apparent and hard to discern because the puppy was black. Also her voice (bark) was very strangled sounding. When I remarked on it, the breeder played it off with, she's been barking this morning. I took her to the contractual vet visit the very next day which is when the vet showed me the malocclusion. I was shocked by the sight of it. And disappointed in myself I hadn't noticed when we picked her up. We returned the puppy the very next day. The breeder, though having "years as a Breeder of Merit" according to the AKC (and herself) blamed us for choosing "the runt" and berated us for representing we had labs before. I suppose the point was to project blame on us for choosing a "defective" animal and to make us feel badly that we were returning the puppy. She returned half of the purchase price. When I returned the AKC registration, she refunded most of the other half. In text messages exchanged in the interim, she once again berated me for the puppy had been "passed over" by subsequent potential customers because she did not have the AKC registration in hand. We are not interested in making unfounded accusations. These are the facts of our now-terminated association.

I scheduled his appointment, reiterated the time over the phone THREE times to ensure there was no mistake, and got him scheduled. When my husband arrived for the appointment, he was told he was an HOUR LATE. Idk if their front desk has issues scheduling appointments, or what the breakdown in communication might be. I wrote the time down, added it to my phone, and texted my husband the time that I'd verified with the clinic three times. If you like extremely unnecessarily long waits, a front desk that can't seem to keep a proper schedule, and general disregard for your time in promptly helping your pets - go here. I won't be back.

They also said he acted up and charged me $15.00 extra for bad behavior. He's a small dog and has never been a problem to bathe before. We will not be going back and I am very disappointed but they did have my phone number because I left messages. Keeping my dog in a cage for hours was cruel and I would never recommend them.

Boarding your dog for the first time can be nerve-wracking, but my experience here was amazing…read more When I picked up my dog, I could immediately tell she had been well cared for--she wasn't rushing to her water bowl like she usually does after being away, but was more concerned with finding me, which showed me her needs had been fully met. The staff took the time to understand her personality and natural traits, even knowing she prefers human attention over other dogs. It was clear she was watched over, loved, and comfortable the entire time. I felt completely confident leaving her here and would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for caring, attentive boarding.
