I have this place a 3 Star review a few years back. At that time I thought it "meh"... fine in a pinch but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here. Food wise I'd give them a 3 today as well. I went in for a couple slices today. Just a quick snack for lunch. They have a big "Lunch Specials" sign... says "2 slices of Cheese for $5". So I ordered 2 slices during the lunch time, and they rang it up as "Individual" slices... not as the special... which costs about 50cents more. Not a big deal.... BUT... when I mentioned it they said I had to "ASK" for the Special. Like really? They are just trying to get another 50cents... kinda slimy. I mean if the guy said "Sorry" and admitted to a mistake, fine... but the implication is that they require you to "Ask"?! Why should the customer know their prices and deals better than the employee? Not sure what happened they used to have the best pizza around. the quality has gone way down the hamburger that is used for the pizza is horrible quality. I ordered simple. A stromboli and a Greek salad. The salad was for the next night's dinner. When I opened it it was a garden salad no feta no olives no peppercinis. I called and they said they were too busy to help me and I should call back later, after their dinner rush. They already got my money and didn't care about ruining my dinner. I'm really surprised at the other reviews but i have to honestly say i did not try the pizza. First things first. I was on my way to go kayaking and wanted a sandwich for lunch. I pulled in to the tiny little parking lot. There's a dunks in the same building so it can get a bit crowded. I walked in and was greeted right away. When i was ready to order the guy at the counter took my order right away. Then another guy came right over to the cashier. To my horror he punched in my order on the cash register with his gloves on, took my money, gave me my change and then went back to cooking with those same gloves on! I kept thinking "change those gloves. You just touched money". Yuck!! Well, he never changed the gloves. I proceeded to my destination to kayak and when i took a bite of my pork sandwich wrap. Ugh! It was so loaded with sauce i ended up taking maybe 3 or 4 bites and threw it in the water. Maybe the fish will enjoy it. Enough said. read more

Won't be going back to The Pizza Depot anytime soon, which is a shame since it had been our "go to" place for pizza, subs and boneless wings since it opened. But regardless of how good the food is, I cannot excuse hostility in lieu of customer service. We ordered The Buffalo Chicken pizza, which per the menu, "has no red sauce." (My wife won't eat their red sauce). When I got he pizza home, it clearly had crushed tomatoes indicating it had a red sauce base. I called to say we had gotten the wrong pizza and instead of an apology and offer to correct the problem, the manager blamed the mistake on me and argued that I must have ordered the wrong one. I referred to the menu and said there was only one type of Boneless Buffalo Chicken pizza listed and he insisted that I had to have ordered the wrong one. He repeatedly insisted the mistake was my fault and only after a lengthy disagreement did he agree to remake the pizza. Even after I brought our copy of the menu and showed him only ONE entry for a boneless buffalo chicken pizza, he continued to insist that I was the one who was wrong. Especially now with a couple different choices of pizza places, I don't need to be admonished by a manager for what was clearly their fault. First witnessed them handling cooked food with hands that were just cleaning the floor, no one wearing hair protection either. No licenses on display. Then they handed me a sub that was supposed to be a pizza, when I mentioned it, they just stood there, no solution no apology. When I said I DONT WANT THE SUB..please just give me the rest of the order they said they would make the pizza now. I didnt want one hot pizza and the rest of our order cold so i said no ...they argued about that...no apologies they made the wrong thing. Then they would not honor the $50 in gift certificates we had and said "its too old" --- It has no date on them ...they dont even have a date field and it was given a month ago before ownership changed. If you are keeping the name you should honor the gift certificates. I asked to speak to the owner (who i later found i the person i was speaking to was the owner) and everyone in the place claimed they had no idea who it was. When I said, well you are supposed to have that on display as well as showing everyone is properly trained to handle food . "We dont have to show you that" is the response. Called the food inspector the next day who found 14 violations and 4 serious ones including a refrigerator that was over 50 degrees - no wonder i used to get sick half the time I ate there. What a way to start off...no concept that if you treat people like this they wont be back and all it would have take was a simple "im sorry" Instead they escalated things with one insult to the next with a restaurant full of people having to listen to the entire family come out of the back to yell at me. I left them with $40 of cooked food, had they just given me a refund for the sub I didnt order none of this would have happened, had they honored the gift certificate..none of this would have happened....had they told me how I could contact the owner none of this would have happened.......at every step the way, their goal was to tell me the y can do whatever they want.. Ordered from here the other night while looking for a new place to grab some pizza. All I can say is HOLY JESUS was it good!!! We ordered a Dillon's Mac & Cheese Delight pizza and it was by far the best pizza I've ever eaten! Not only were the toppings delicious, but the crust was just as good! We also got an order of the Messy Fries and the fact that they use waffle fries made it even better! They were also nice enough to give us two cups of blue cheese and two cups of sour cream when most places only give you one. The staff inside was friendly as well. My friends and I were staying at the Holiday Inn in Taunton and the front desk recommended this place for take out. They gave us a menu and we ordered a few family meals for ourselves and the kids. Only $18.99 for an extra large pizza , chicken tenders and a 2 liter of soda. The pizza fed the 2 kids plus 2 adults. The pizza peperoni was very good, but the chicken tenders were amazing. Soooo good that we hid them from the kids to have them all to ourselves. The dipping sauces were home made and incredibly good. We had ranch and homey mustard. The pizza and wings were good. Nothing extravagant but was absolutely sufficient. I'm giving a 1 star review because of the customer service. We ordered delivery and when our order arrived, the pizza had no toppings. I called back and the woman who took our order answered. I asked her to check the order she inputted for us and it seemed like she got our order wrong and/or she didn't apply our coupon. The math didn't seem right especially since we used a coupon. That being said, tonight we had delivery of the following: Stuck in Idaho pizza (large) - BBQ Base, Sweet Potatoes, Grilled Chicken, Grilled Onion & 3 Cheese Blend Onion Rings Loaded Potato Skins w/Pastrami, Swiss & Russian dressing My wife and I both agreed (and we each have 50+ years of eating experience) that the onion rings and potato skins were arguably the best we've ever had of each. We usually order from Pizza Depot once a week. Tonight though was a disaster. I was told delivery should be 45 minutes. My doorbell rang 1 hr and 15 min after placing the order. My kids ate pizza, which seemed fine as usual. My salad was terrible. Under a layer of fresh, crisp romaine was old, spoiled lettuce. At least 50% of the salad was spoiled. The croutons had the texture of a wet sponge. I threw the salad into the trash can. We will be looking for another pizza shop to frequent. read more

We have doing takeout since the original owners opened for business years ago. We also always order ahead for a set pickup time and over the years of at least a couple of times a month we have never waited and our food was hot. However for several months we have not ordered anything. On Thursday night we did the same set pickup order and my son and daughter showed up on time and they were told it wasn't ready. After ten minutes they called me and I then called Pizza Depot and asked for the manager. He first blamed the "temp" he had answering the phone and went into how the food would be fresh and the bread would not be soggy. I told him I would not order there again and couldn't have cared less. The order was 20 minutes late. Worse, we live less than a mile away and the two eggplant parm subs were barely warm, the same for my chicken parm, which had no cheese and was drowning in sauce despite my asking for lite sauce and extra cheese. Worse, the cutlet was more like shoe leather. I see some reviews rave about the pizza, but a couple of years ago we found that Cape Cod Pizza in the adjoining Shaw's shopping plaza far superior.
