My family visited The Place to... while in Paris for the Olympics and I'm about to tell you why this place is a treasure and now a landmark for us. Maria! The food is fantastic, from the tartare and Onion soup apps to the main courses. We are here twice during our 5 day stay. It's a convenient stroll downhill on Wagram or a super short flat walk from Ternes station. The ambiance is relaxing both indoor or outdoors. And our most honored review goes to Maria. We forget a bag with a couple of bottles of perfume and had left home back to the States. After retracing our steps through pictures we pinned the last known location as The Place to... We contacted them through Yelp and Maria let us know that they had them and would that she would mail them to us. Woah!!! What?! In the States good luck getting someone honest enough to say they had them much less taking their time and care to package and ship them. Maria! Maria! Maria! She is reason enough to dine here. Honestly folks, if a persons integrity shines within the employees away from the food you can expect the same honest care to be present in the handling and preparation of what you absolutely enjoy eating. Please join me in rewarding a good deed and person by trying The Place to... your good life will continue and you will be the new recipient of paying itself forward. Louvre always.

The Place To holds a special place in my heart, having been one of my favorite restaurants when I lived in Paris back in 2015. But I was so so happy to find the food hasn't changed one bit! The menu has a bit of everything, but the risotto is still my absolute favorite in the city. The vibe is young and trendy, and the prices are super reasonable. Their down-to-earth menu options plus a glass of wine are a respite in what can be a big tourist trap area. Best of all, gluten free is clearly marked on the menu! The Place To, I'll be back whenever I'm back in Paris!

Atmosphere: 4 The cafe is small and super crowded. Expect to…read moresit elbow to elbow with others! It's cozy until the person next to us started vaping and covered herself and some of us in a vaping cloud. Ew! Otherwise it wouldn't even have been too bad. We were lucky to get a table right as we walked in because another group was leaving. Looks like people were in and out ordering from the counter too. When you're done, just go to the counter to pay. Easy! Service: 5 Food came quickly but ordering took some time because one of the waitress went on break, but the other one was friendly and spoke English. The latte took a while to come out and I was already mostly done with my croissant by the time it arrived. Food: 5 The croissant looks messy and is intended to be eaten with a knife and fork, but it was delicious! Portion was perfect. You might not see it, but there is ham all underneath so each bite has ham. The sauce and runny yolk makes the dish decadent. The top part of the croissant was served vertical and I had to move it to make it more "sandwich-like". Matcha latte doesn't taste sweet at all so if you're thinking it will taste like what you'd get at Starbucks, it won't! But this is how I prefer it. The cup was super full when it arrived!! It was our first meal in Paris and was happy to have gotten good food! If I had to choose again, I'd choose to go there again for our first Paris meal!

Small, quaint, and EXCELLENT service and food! It is small, but don't let that dissuade you! It…read moreis in my list of must eats when in Paris!
