Great roast chicken for my gal
    Dean L.

Paris, France Hangry? When the most popular places are packed Au Pied du Cochon for instance, and you don't have a reservation, this little corner cafe on the left can do the trick. Sit under the heated awning to watch Paris beauties saunter by, if you can tolerate endless cigarettes. The interior is great as well, and BTW you will not get away from smoke anyway. Order something from the rotisserie, it's quick but can be bland and drier than normal. Salt is on the table sauce is under the potatoes. Salads are ample and great, the wines are good. If its happy hour it's around 5È. Service is very efficient, they will ask of you want to leave a tip that's already included with the VAT. But you can be a generous American and leave another 10% if they haven't completely ignored you.

Had a wonderful breakfast here. The place is charming and my eggs Benedict was divine!

Fish was so tasty and fresh! The ravioli appetizer (which I forgot to take photos of) was a delicious Asian inspired flavor profile. Restaurant decor was very lodge/cabin like with the taxidermy, but at the same time felt at a bit tropical with the bright teal walls. Server was great, friendly, and funny.

The cheesecake is out of this world delicious. Seriously. So airy, light and slight hint of citrus. Omg it's goooood That's all I have to say about it. Delicious!

A friend highly recommend this place for the onion soup and rotisserie chicken. Loup has a very cool atmosphere and I imagine is pretty packed in the evenings and weekends (we were here around 3pm and there were a handful of people). The onion soup and mushroom salad were tasty, as was the Manhattan. However the Victoria cocktail (which had early grey infused Gin - something I make at home) was a bit sour for my tastes, with no lovely flora-herb hints of tea and for 14 euro not worth the price. The creme brûlée was also very disappointing- over cooked with the taste and texture of scrambled eggs with caramelized sugar. Might come here for happy hour to try some of the wines and check out the social scene but nothing too memorable about the food, considering all the other places to explore in Paris

I came here after hearing the ravings about their Onion soup and I will say it did not disappoint. This cute little corner street cafe has a very stylish interior and good food to match. Would recommend if you need a warm bowl of soup on a cold Paris day! Easily walling distance from some major Paris attractions.

Loup is one of my recent discoveries in Paris. If I could design a Parisian bar/restaurant it would pretty much look like Le Loup. The design of the menu: cool. The materials and colours: perfect combo. The taxidermy: awesome! The quality of the service, the food and drinks: check, check and check. I'm not going to tell you more. Just go there. That's the only advice you need to know. Enjoy!

Pretty disappointed by this place as I was looking to grab a bite after movies (located off Ugc ciné cité les halles ) The place is beautiful with a lot of details and a great atmosphere. The menu is quite interesting but not as exciting and on a high priced side...BUT I wanted a table outside so I went in and was attending by a staff member who invited me to seat anywhere i liked outside. Good you would tell me so why this low rating??? Well, nobody came to take my order!! Waited 15 minutes to flag someone and left. I still believe it is a nice place. Not my luck.

Had a fabulous chicken dinner. Both chicken and potatoes delicious. Service was excellent and very accommodating. They speak English too. Good music playing and nice trendy crowd. I'll definitely visit again! Maitre'D was super friendly.

While categorized as a bar, this is definitely a restaurant. The rotisserie chicken wall is an interesting juxtaposition to the hipster bar in the middle of the restaurant. Service was quick, helpful, and very sincere. The menu wasn't in English which let me know this place wasn't touristy and therefore perfect. I enjoyed the Cordon Bleu with a beer on tap. My husband had the onion soup, a huge chicken Club, and fries also with a beer. They were warm, tasty, and reasonably-priced.

Had a good experience here because I liked the ambiance for lunch, my burrata dish, and the nice Parisians next to me who treated me to wine and cheese. Minus one star because they messed up my order the first time and took a while to bring my check. But my host seemed friendly. He apologized for the inconvenience. Can't forget the WiFi, to boot. Overall, a nice choice for lunch in Zone 1.

Delicious food and very relaxing atmosphere! We stopped by for a quick snack and drinks and were pleasantly surprised! One of the tastiest places within its vicinity. We ended up visiting this restaurant over and over again.

The richness of the flavor and the texture which is not reminiscent of the traditional roasted duck or foie gras, but rather a much more like a luxurious and indulgent version. We enjoyed our dinner on the outside of the restaurant after about a 20-30 minute wait. The bone marrow had the best flavor I've experienced for the dish. However, it is definitely overshadowed by the rich flavor of the foie gras. This experience was unforgettable, with our view of Parisian streets on a brisk, April night. We even came back on our last night, but didn't realize the hours on Google maps was for the deli. The restaurant closes earlier, before 9:00 PM. This meal got us thinking about Paris in a positive light, and we hope to be able to come back to eat the amazing dishes again!

They had a number of goods to choose from and I ended up buying a few things for souvenirs. As for the actual restaurant, they had a number of delicious sounding items on their menu. Our server was very attentive to us and helped us decide on our dinner orders. Similar to the other restaurants though. After our food was delivered, it was far in between when we were checked on again. And after dessert it took even longer for our server to bring the bill. Overall, the food was a letdown. I do not exaggerate when I say that the frog legs just tasted like slightly flavored water. My friend's ravioli had a fairly decent flavored sauce but the pasta was a bit chewy. My friend's duck breast was pretty tough; I had noticed the table next to us also ordered it and they seemed to have trouble finishing/cutting theirs as well. As for my steak with foie gras, well the steak was once again tough and the foie gras was weirdly stringy. It was soft for the most part but there were parts that were tough and stringy. Maybe that's a section that's generally separated in the preparation process and it was missed? In any case it was disappointing. What wasn't disappointing was dessert though; perfectly sweet and balanced.

On the other hand, it made me realize that my mother was a terrible cook. Bistro des Augustins is a small, cozy venue offering both indoor seating and terrace seating near Pont Neuf. It serves a small number of curated dishes, including a wonderfully traditional Bistro Gratin in a homey ceramic dish served piping hot with a brown crispy cheesy top, herbs, spices and chicken. You can also get it with salmon. My brothers and I only saw my mother use our gas range to light her cigarettes, sanitize needles to remove our splinters, and make s'mores during the summer months when she couldn't muster the energy to take us 'outside camping.' I mean, all she had to do was borrow a cookbook, which I'm sure were readily available from maybe a neighbor or in any local bookstore or the public library. How hard is that? I was the only kid who brought a can of tuna and his own monogrammed can opener to school every day. Every day. And mom convinced me that the tuna holster she got me for my birthday was cool and hip. I was a naive mercury-filled fool, although I did become a very fast runner in junior high school because of the tuna holster. The interior décor of Bistro des Augustins is informal and vintage bistro style - wooden tables, traditional chalkboard menus, and soft lighting - creating a relaxed and comfy ambiance. My eyes have been opened to what's possible. Thank you Bistro des Augustins for expanding my culinary horizons. Five stars.

My bestie from middle school and I shared the escargot (bless you) pasta, which was delicious, and the duck, which was exceptional. We split a very fairly priced bottle of wine and ended the night with the scoop of mousse. If they could figure out how to do that intravenously, that'd be great. The mousse reminded me of a great guilty pleasure, which is eating straight out of the can of Duncan Hines chocolate frosting (ask me how I know, I do this often, going to rebrand it to me being European). No real plans. Just walking. Cigarette smoke in the air, scooters passing narrow streets, old stone buildings glowing under soft afternoon light. Online, this place feels impossible to book. But show up 10-15 minutes before opening and suddenly you're seated like you knew the secret all along. Inside, the room hums. Tight tables. Warm walls. Loud enough to feel alive without becoming chaotic. Nobody rushing. Nobody flipping tables. Just the rhythm of Paris doing what it's always done. The menu is entirely in French which, honestly, makes the experience better. You stop ordering with certainty and start ordering with curiosity. My wife had the risotto d'épeautre aux St. Jacques. I ordered the Magret de Canard au Romarin. The duck was solid. A 3.5/5 kind of dish. Rich, savory, comforting after a long day walking through the city. But the risotto surprised me more. The scallops were delicate, the spelt added this earthy texture that made the dish feel substantial without ever becoming heavy. And then there's the mousse au chocolat. The famous one. Served from an oversized bowl with this almost excessive "all you can eat" energy that somehow still feels elegant instead of gimmicky. We only needed a few bites. Soft, luxurious, lightly bitter chocolate balanced perfectly against just enough sweetness. The kind of dessert that doesn't ask for attention. It quietly earns it.

I enjoyed the mini mushroom raviolis and delicious Grand Marnier soufflé. The plat was somewhat odd because the chorizo chunks were really strong flavored which overpowered the scallops. I ate one chorizo chunk and pushed the rest aside. The scallops were cooked perfectly but not seasoned. The service was gruff/quite brief with dishes dropped by assistants. My biggest complaint was the stressful ambiance during the meal. It was freezing outside. The door constantly opened and new patrons came in hovering over diners in my room.
