The reception building was beautifully lit with more than enough room and table and chairs to seat a wedding of 100+ people. And it was air conditioned!!! So that was a huge plus!! The bathroom in the reception area was huge and had a small loveseat in it for any mothers who may need to breast feed in private. But there was only 1 bathroom in the reception hall so that was a bummer. The only other thing that would've been nice but wasn't a huge deal was the outdoor seating area. Because it was 90-100 degrees there was no shade for anyone unless you grabbed the seats closest to the trees! But all in all beautiful place to hold an event!

When it was time to open up the assigned seating, which fanned out from a fun dance floor and DJ area in the middle of the room, we found our seats easily and could see the head table and all the action on the dance floor. Offering a panoramic view of the Myriad Gardens and the city beyond, you get both the view of the park and all it's natural beauty, plus a view of the Colcord, the Devon tower and the rest of the city beyond. I can't think of any other place in the city where you can find such a perfect mix of natural and manmade beauty nearly everywhere you like. In the outdoor ceremony space, the sunlight streaming through the trees is absolutely dreamy to paint. Indoors, the wall of windows brings in so much natural light that it really makes the space feel bright and airy. The white walls help, too, which is wonderful for photography or painting. Even though the venue is simple, it's effortlessly beautiful, and looking out the windows at the forest really makes you feel like you're outdoors.
