This is the second I've used this hotel for my conference stay. It's a definite upgrade from my last trip. I chose the]is place over the recommended list from the conference. It's located near SeaWorld and the ton of shops and restaurants by the Orange County Conference Center. Tammy provided great customer service. The room was spacious. The bed comfortable and the shower was great. They had good oversized towels. They aren't the plush ones it they were decent. The constant running of the toilet was very annoying. My flight got delayed 4 hours, car rental service wasn't open and I had to wait an extra 2 hours. Check in was set for anytime and we were already arriving late. Expecting to finally go to sleep; finally got here at 5 am and the room was not cleaned at all. Unmade bed, sheets with stains on them and loose hair. I recently stayed here with my gf and it's an overall great place with the exception of the service and a couple of other things that could easily be corrected and make this place 5 stars. The building itself is big, nice, clean, and the deluxe suite we stayed in was great. The room patio and view were great too. The pool and bar are great as well and we enjoyed it multiple times. The bed was comfy and the jacuzzi tub was great! The employees though definitely need a refresher course in customer service. The employees working the check-in and check-out were nice and friendly, but both the bartenders had bad attitudes and weren't friendly at all. Me and my gf were like WTF and I don't play that sh*t so I called them out on it. I get it you're dealing with Disney crazies all day but you chose this job so do it with a smile on your face and never let someone sit and wait for a drink or food. If you're busy say Hello hand them a menu and say I'll be with you shortly. Needless to say the girl working the day shift ended up being nice after the fact. The girl working the night shift literally had no one there and took 15 minutes to make our drinks and wait on us. Then she handed us our drinks and we never seen her again. We literally had to knock on the back door to pay her after waiting 15 minutes after finishing our drinks. She said she was cleaning. Okay, that's cool but you have customers do it afterwards or while checking on us. Smh! We ordered a couple of fruity drinks in the daytime and they were good but didn't have that much alcohol in them for the price we paid which I think we got overcharged but my gf was like let it go. I then ordered a Blue Moon after finishing my Kool-Aid(lol) which is always tasty with a slice of orange in it. We then ordered some nachos and they weren't that great as you can see from the pic. We also ordered a couple fruity drinks at night and sat at one of the tables behind the Cabana bar which is nice and peaceful. Listen this is a great place but with better service this place could be outstanding. I'll definitely stay again, but fix these issues asap! The room prices are great for what you get and the location. FYI: they gave us breakfast vouchers that we never got to use because our flight was early and we had to return our rental car before catching our flight. You should offer things to grab for people leaving at 4-5 am. That disappointed me because we paid for that. Also, the lobby and elevator areas wreaked of marijuana. The room was nice and is close by to the big theme parks which were the only good things. We booked with Expedia and was told to pay a different price than what the hotel charged us. When we tried communicating this to the front desk they gave us very stone cold answers and not a real interest in trying to resolve the issue for us. The staff at front desk could surely use better customer service skills that are beyond the basic "hello welcome" and "thank you for your stay." Coming back at night from the theme park there was absolutely NO parking at all. We had to pull up in front of the hotel and ask what to do as none of the cars in the lot had the assigned parking ticket provided. Once again we were met with stone cold responses and an "I'm sorry that sucks don't know what to do." The front desk told us to circle around again to make sure there isn't a space available (which I personally made sure to check as I am very wary of my vehicle) and we did. When we came back to reiterate the problem we were told to just "park in front of the hotel" where the no parking signs were clearly visible. This puts a risk of getting towed or car damage as cars drive by this area. This was a similar situation to others as we noted other cars parking illegally as told by the front desk. If you want a hotel with a nice room that is close to theme parks this place is good... if you don't mind illegally parking your vehicle overnight. There is nothing good about this place at all. The TV was broken, the toilet was broken, the bathroom sink was broken, there was cigarette burns in the blankets and sheets, the internet was down, and the list honestly goes on. I requested a refund because half the room was broken and I was told that they don't care and won't be refunding my money because I made the mistake in booking a room at that hotel. Loved! The perfect location, priced just right, walking distance to restaurants, bars and all thing tourist oriented. Our room overlooked the pool, a full bath with a washer and dryer, king room, full kitchen and living area with a small walkout patio. My husband and I stayed for 3 days/4 nights, breakfast was offered, more of a take and go, it was okay nothing fancy. We went grocery shopping for a few staples, so that worked on our side. The pool offered a full bar with snacks and appetizers too. We have already rebooked for our next trip to Universal. read more

First they said the would listen to the phone calls, then they stopped with that excused and said they are working towards it, that they will call me back. They never call. You call them back and same excused. I asked for a manager 2 times and they are never around. They never call back either. I wrote in the page with this complaint and also completely ignored. At this point, they have completely waste my time and they will waste yours if you have an issue. I read another review here similar with them never calling back or resolving anything. They have 0 cares about the customers. In my last call I told the lady, if there is no resolution just tell me don't keep dragging me along and telling me you are working on it. They are shameless and just lie. I don't want a response with your apologies. Keep that, too late. Wasted my time and energy for something so easy and answer yes or no. This place is the worst. I truly couldn't wait to leave. The hotel needs a face lift and a staff that cares and wants to help. -checked in with no directions to the to the room. We asked twice. We were told tower 2. -not offered assistance with luggage (we made several trips) -couch and sheets had holes -one bar of soap in the executive suite. one bar. We asked for more for the shower and was given hand soap and was told by the FD agent trying to be cute that we had to pay for it. -a/c didn't work. No air circulation in bedroom. -no hot water in the shower -pool furniture moldy -not one staff member had a mask on although there were signs everywhere that masks are encouraged - wanted to play corn hole and was told by the bartender if the sacks weren't there, she didn't know where they were and I would have to call engineering. Like really ? - the couch is a sofa bed yet no blanket in the room ? -woke up in the middle of the night to check out. Went to the front desk. We weren't asked how our stay was. We arrived around 10pm. Check in/out was quick. Room was mostly clean and well stocked. My wife and son did go down before checkout to get into the pool and hot tub. There's a big parking lot but due to it being a sold out weekend and arrive late we had a little trouble finding parking. They have a coffee bar that serves up Starbucks branded coffee. This is a 12 floor hotel. Every floor smells like marijuana, and it comes in your room at night. I'm serious. It's bad. The beds are so old that you sink down to the box spring. I really enjoyed our stay at the Point. We got the one bedroom suite, and it came with a full kitchen, balcony, and large bathroom with a jacuzzi tub. I really liked that you could close off the bathroom from the bedroom because it allows for more privacy (and stops family members from running through your room at night to go to the toilet.) A lot of suites I've stayed in haven't had this option. The room was also very clean- you could smell it when you walked in, but also see it. I felt comfortable enough to walk around barefoot which is something I never do in a hotel room, and my feet weren't black and dirty! So I know they clean the floors on the regular, which is also unusual for such a large hotel. The view was great, and I was thinking about how nice it'd be to just rent out one of these suites as a residence! The entire hotel has a calm aura to it, and the staff are very warm and welcoming and are ready to assist you with any needs you may have. We WILL stay again! read more

Last Monday I came here to meet a friend and we decided to go to the pool bar. I really loved the interior as well as the exterior of the building. My friends room was very comfortable and I would definitely stay there. I got to the bar and I met this bubbly knowledge craftswoman who knows her selection on alcohol. All in all She was super dope and I wish all bartenders are just like her. So if you're reading this make sure you ask for Rachel. I loved that they had jell-o shots and I was upset that they didn't have their "famous spicy mozzarella sticks" and I was disappointed so please fix that immediately. Staff service seemed to be non existent. We had to ring the bell upon check-in...This place calls themselves a "boutique resort" but obviously is just leeching off the rest of the city. Ok - so we booked a double king bed room for three nights and left after two. I called the front desk right after we entered the "suite" because I was nervous that they would charge me the $250 for smoking in the room since it smelled like lingering cigarette smoke & there were burn holes all over the carpet. The room was dingy, stuffy and there were scuff marks all over the walls and doors. The bathroom had no exhaust fan. And they only provided one small bottle each of shampoo and conditioner. Coffee was terrible. The one "leather chair" had no wheels and both arms were torn up looked like they'd been destroyed by cats. Food closed at 8pm and there was no room service available. They also advertised free shuttle service to universal studios but when we arrived the person at front desk said they'd discontinued it and actually had the gall to suggest hopping over to another hotel to use theirs. Haha... This place is located right on the edge / outskirts of the main hub. Just wasn't at all what I expected. Nothing about this place says "resort" - don't go. It was really dirty. read more

Me and my boyfriend stayed here feb 14-18 for 4 days and we had fun enjoying the pool and hot tub! Unfortunately the bar is temporarily closed by the pool and they have no breakfast when it says they have breakfast on the website. There was no housekeeper that came and cleaned are room. They have no bus shuttles for universal. Unfortunately we had a bad experience. Next time we will definitely go somewhere else Hope this helps!! read more

Amazing service horrible parking situation, couldn't even get a parking spot remotely close to our "Tower" where our room was located. The door to get back inside from the pool area was faulty and wouldn't accept our card when we tried to use it. On top of all that I had to go downstairs to the front desk to get bedding for the pullout bed in our room as they never put any in our room (we looked EVERYWHERE). Once I returned to my room I went to make my bed and all they gave me was 5 pillowcases, a mattress cover, and a very scratchy like blanket. Also the refrigerator in our room would not close the entire time. Breakfast was bad, the best thing there was a coffee I had to buy for $6, and that wasn't even that good. The best thing at that entire breakfast buffet was the cereal that they thankfully don't prepare. read more

To be perfect honest, this hotel wasn't bad.. it was just odd. Very odd. There are many things that frankly just don't make sense. I stayed here for a work trip recently and was immediately confused by the way the hotel is laid out. The rooms are set in groups of two so from the hallway, you have to go through the hall door to another foyer and then to your door. This is especially awkward when you don't know the people you're sharing with. The doors stick and can be hard to open. At one point, the other room had locked the hall door and it took me about 8 mins to get through both doors to my room. Outside of the layout, there is one 1 ice machine in the hotel. To get ice, you have to take your bucket to the front desk. Overall I just wasn't great. It didn't feel clean, it was old and just barely maintained. This hotel is absolutely Immaculate!!! The kitchenette is a plus. The beds and linens are very comfortable. The rooms are very spacious even with 2 king size beds. We had a poolside view on a higher floor. The front desk young lady (can't remember her name) she is a young asian girl, very hospitable and made our check-in easy. Stayed here for one night on a Thurs. it was very clean and the layout of the king suite with sofa pull out bed, and kitchen is very spacious. There is also a huge walk in shower. They are taking renovations seriously here and are working very hard to update the look of the place. The 2 free drinks you get with your booking are non alcoholic, but the bartender offered to make us alcohol free strawberry daiquiris and pina coladas which were fantastic. This place seems to be getting a bum rap in reviews from what I saw. I mean it is very busy, even for a Thurs, so if you are looking for a very quiet place this isn't it, but we slept just fine. I probably would not stay here for more than a couple of nights just bc I like a quieter place for longer stays. Staff was great, spoke to hotel management too and they were very friendly. I stayed here for my birthday, this year, that was a mistake. They say they have renovated rooms, I was told by the front desk that "renovated" means new floors and a new couch. These rooms are falling apart, and most of the amenities in the room do not even work. We spent the day at Epcot, went to the hotel for a shower and relax before dinner. Didn't get a shower or dinner for three hours due to the engineer in the room trying to fix the shower. I have severe PTSD and the management called it "bad feelings". They do not care about their guests or their hotel. I've tried to speak with a manager regarding this, nobody will speak to me, I guess they know. We were supposed to say two nights, we went home early and never got the refund back as of yet. Do yourself a favor, pick another hotel, Orlando has a lot of them to offer. read more

There is so much yes about this place that I don't know where to start. We had booked another hotel (in April) for our Sept trip and when we arrived it was, well bad to put it mildly, so we booked another room on Expedia and drove right over to the Point. We checked in and went up to our room and it was even better than we expected. We had a living area, full kitchen, a bedroom and a huge bathroom and balcony overlooking the pool. It was clean and we loved spending the next 8 days there. ***The only reason I removed a star is because we left something in the room and I have called every day since Sunday (it's Thursday), left 3 voicemails for the housekeeping manager, he never returned my call and then I called two other times and spoke to the front desk and yesterday was told they would call me back and still nothing, so that's disappointing. I've always been a big fan of this hotel. Stayed here before with friends but never got a chance to take good pics and write a review...until now. Location is not on I-drive so you most likely will need a car and they have plenty of parking for guests. It's kinda walking distance to Wet n Wild and Universal but might be hike for some. They do offer shuttle to the parks. The room I stayed at was on the 3rd floor w/ the view of the back parking lot. Here are some highlights: 1) Staff was very friendly and professional. There was a quite a wait during check-in so they waived the resort fee. 2) Stayed at the Grand 1 Bedroom Suite and it was enormous. More than enough space for 4 people. 3) Full kitchen w/ fridge, micro, stove, coffee maker, blender, toaster, dishwasher, highball & wine glasses, some cookware, utensils. 4) Living & dining combo area w/ pullout sofa. The balcony complete with patio chairs was a plus. 5) LCD TVs in both bedroom and living room. 6) Big size closets in living room and bedroom. Lots of cabinet drawers too. 7) Bathroom was large. Separate whirlpool tub, shower & toilet. 8) Comfy king size bed w/ laundry fresh linens. 9) Nice pool area with outdoor bar showing sports. Good drinks too. 10) Lobby café called Barista served breakfast buffet and Starbucks coffee. This is one my favorite hotels in Orlando. It's not on the I-drive strip but that's ok. It's clean, well maintained and service is great. The rate I paid for the suite was decent...$106 plus $11 bucks resort fee on Memorial Day weekend. So between 4 people, this is a bargain for nice accommodations. Will definitely stay here again but I'll ask for a higher floor room with a better view. read more

We stayed 6 days at The Point during our visit in October. The room is cute, it is very outdated but it has a little kitchenette....so cute! Perfect for our stay. It's about a 3 minute drive to Universal and 14min to Disney World. They had complimentary breakfast until 11am which is nice, because I like to sleep in lol They don't offer much and because of COVID it's a grab and go, you fill out a voucher of what you want. The room entrance is a bit odd, there are 2 doors behind one door lol Can be confusing when the one door is shut. There is a vanity area in the room, it was nice not having to wait for my husband to get out of the shower so I can use the bathroom vanity to do my makeup. We didn't have any problems during our stay. There are tons of attractions, restaurants and stores nearby so we stayed busy. read more

The service was great and accommodating. Overall, the rooms exceed my expectations (we stayed in a studio)....equipped with counter sink, mini fridge, microwave, and even dishware. However, the 3 stars are a result of the following: - Ghost shower curtain: It swayed because it was so light and there wasn't any weight to keep it on the side of the tub. - Moldy shower curtain: In addition to the curtain sticking to me, there was mold on the foot of the curtain (see images). - Extra strong water pressure: I'm from CA where we've been in a water crisis forever, so perhaps I'm just not used to extremely strong water pressure, but it felt like I was getting tattooed by sharp needles from water coming out of the shower head! - Dirty carpet: I like to walk barefoot. I prefer to not see what I'm stepping on if the floors are dirty, however it looked like the carpet hadn't been vacuumed (see images). If they can remedy those things, it'd be worth staying here again. read more

I've stayed here twice now and I must say the front desk staff are super nice and accommodating. We stay in a 1 bedroom suite and it has always been nice upon checkin. The room is clean and the kitchen is always clean. The room is spacious and comes with the bedroom - King and a sleeper sofa. The room is comfortable and the bathroom is huge. They have a whirlpool tub an a large shower. The first day or two of our stay was uneventful. The last half was horrible. It is as if house keeping stopped coming to our room and when they did they didn't take pride in their work. Three days they didn't come to our room and we had to call for towels. Two days it was like the opened the door and threw the towels in. They were just stacked up and bed look like my 4 year old made it. Upon calling to the front they only could bring towels and we found 2 coupons under the door for breakfast. Well our room came with breakfast. This overall was not a good experience. read more

**Warning** The photos are a catfish of what the hotel actually looks like. When we entered the hotel it looked very outdated. The reception staff are very nice and helpful and great to talk to. When we got to our room, there were mysterious stains all over the rug, walls, toilet, and curtains. Worst part is we found bedbugs under the pillows. 4 giant bed bugs crawling. We have photos and videos of our night at the hotel and they just give me nightmares. Would not recommend staying there at all. read more

I attended a retreat that was held in the conference room of this hotel and we stayed in a one-bedroom suite while we were here. My hubby and teen came along and visited with the Mouse while I was busy during the day. The rooms are nice and updated. The bed is a queen size and there is a pullout couch in the living area. It also has a full kitchen with stove, frig, washer/dryer, and dishwasher which is always nice. I was able to run to the room for a quick lunch without having to go out and find a nearby spot. Housekeeping only makes the bed and refreshes the towels. if you want "full" housekeeping there is an extra charge. It was fine as our stay was only 4 nights. Conference room was a bit small for what was needed for our retreat, but not sure if this was due to the organizers or the hotel. We did have a opening night open bar and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. We also had a buffet dinner on our last night and again the staff was very nice. They did end up taking away the food and drinks before everyone was ready for that to happen though, which was a bit disappointing for some. The pool area is quite nice with a bar poolside. Plenty of seating and the pool is kept very clean. unfortunately we had quite a bit of rain so didn't get to use it as much as hoped. All in all a nice hotel, convenient to the highway but not so close that you hear all the noise. There is quite a lot of construction going on around the hotel, so sometimes that noise was a bit loud during the weekdays, but that can't be helped nor is it the hotel's fault. Would definitely consider this place again when visiting this area. read more

This property does not even deserve a rating how badly I was treated, but I had to give them one just so I can warn others. So I decided to take my kids on a trip because my son was on spring break, my daughter (who has cancer) had just entered her maintenance phase with treatment and I have been overwhelmed with everything so we needed a vacation. I checked in (@ 4pm) and went up to my room, there was someone else already in the room so they double booked the room due to a convention in Orlando. They told me they will put us in another room, I asked, since the room did not have the kitchen that I paid for what accommodations would I have? I was told by Nathan the manager that he could not accommodate me even tho the room was cheaper then the one I booked which resorted to me having to find somewhere else to stay, because I dont have money to give away and if I could not get the room for the rate that it was online, I just wanted all my money back. So my kids and I did not get in another hotel room until a little after 9 PM because all the hotels in the area were booked due to the convention. If this generous lady would not have stopped to ask me what was wrong when she saw me crying outside of the hotel, me and my kids would have been stranded due to me not being from Orlando, and my flight was not until the weekend to return home. I have never been in this situation ever in my life especially with my kids and my kids asking me are we going to have to sleep outside? Guy at front desk was nice. Either than that, the rest was not so nice. We left after 2hrs. The room had stains on the couch and carpet. The walls and the table were oddly sticky. The furniture was torn and worse of all the AC would not work! After a long day, we just wanted a cool room to finally rest. We called multiple times for someone to come fix the thermometer but no one came. So we requested for a refund. I'd definitely pay the extra to avoid this hotel.
